And because there is not enough room, what would be the first story arc be about. One shots or out of continuity stories would do if you don't like the current direction of either company.
I will go first.
DC: Wrath of Frankenstein. It would be about Frankenstein's monster as he tries to enjoy life away from SHADE and the outside world in general. Obviously, things keep on happening to push Frank to help the innocent. The first story arc will detail Frank being forced to stop than a man called Rosszabb, mint a Van Helsing (Hungarian for Worse than Van Helsing) who is looking for an orb that can bring the dead back to life.
Marvel: Adjectiveless X-Men (Current version aka the all women team). Basically not a new book, just a story arc of the current one. The group of X-Women will meet a new mutant who has the power to kill anything with a single touch. The woman will reveal that she is being hunted down by her friend who can bring anything back to life and eventually have them under his control. With the girl under his control, he will be able to spread his influence to the point that the world belongs to him!

Superman, if I could reboot it and not have to deal with the Nu52 garbage. Also, Booster Gold.
Marvel: Captain America, the Avengers, or an X-Men reboot

Captain America, the Avengers, or an X-Men reboot Please make them better! ... as if Marvel would let me write. Suffice it to say that I wouldn't tow the line on their "editorial direction." Oh, and I'd also love to write Guardians of the Galaxy. Not because I believe it's messed up, but because I'm a huge fan.

What would your story arc be if you were allowed to do so?

What would your story arc be if you were allowed to do so? For who?

All of the ones you listed if possible.

Superman (total reboot): I would write the first arc as a parallel story about a newly arrived Clark Kent and longtime resident Lex Luthor, and their ascent to local legend status, comparing their love of the city and their very different takes on what is best for it. I would probably cap it off with Luthor becoming President and thus, legally untouchable to Superman. The villains I would most likely want to include would be BRAINIAC (as an amalgam of the Milton Fine version and the robot from space version), Eradicator, Parasite, and Metallo (giving all of them origins related to Kryptonian tech brought to earth by BRAINIAC, and manipulated by Luthor).
If I went into a second arc, it would involve Zod, Doomsday, and Darkseid.
Booster Gold: Probably a resurrection story for Ted Kord, and some episodic adventures about the two of them having fun, refreshing Booster's love of adventure once more, before finishing up with Ted deciding to retire and focus on civilian life, then dealing with Booster's feelings of abandonment all over again. I'd probably finish it up with a final scene with Booster talking to Batman, who instead of a "pep talk" would be the hardass that only Batman can be, and tell Booster that people leave, and he needs to get on with his life.
Captain America: I'd marry the guy to Sharon Carter and make him more of an "everyman" trying to balance his heroic activities with his home life. The arc would definitely feature the Red Skull as his primary enemy, but I probably wouldn't have them meet face-to-face at all, or perhaps only in the very end. One thing I'd like to do is have him recover the "son" he raised while trapped in an alternate dimension.
Spider-Man: BRING BACK MARY JANE
X-Men (total reboot): Just re-telling their story in a modern context. One thing that really bugs the crap out of me is that we're expected to believe in 2014 that somehow people are really bothered by/afraid of "mutants" because they're born that way, as if HOW someone steals your secrets directly from your brain or melts you into pudding matters more than THAT they can steal your secrets directly from your brain or melt you into pudding. I would have to be allowed to reconcile that silliness, and put mutant-kind into a post-Civil War context.

? Have you read the latest issue of Captain America yet? I'm not reading anymore at all. I was several months behind, but gave up entirely when I saw the BS they were going to do.

Spoilers for those haven't read the latest issue of Cap but are planning to! Sorry, I don't remember what the spoiler tag was!
Okay, because Cap's "son" is already back from Dimension Z.

I don't like that joke. Mainly because it angers me that people use it for whenever I complain about what they did to Wally West in the Nu52. It is not because Wally is black that hate about the change! It is fact that they changed everything else about him for no reason!

Yep, that's me, racist. I hate the idea of Cap being anyone other than Steve Rogers. First of all, we've seen it before. SO MANY TIMES. Second of all, why the $#@! would Falcon be the new Cap? Even if I look past the politically correct nonsense that says the new guy has to be black, there are already 3 $#@!ING BLACK GUYS WITH SUPER SOLDIER-RELATED POWERS. Isaiah & Eli Bradley & Lamar Hoskins. Remember them? It's all so $#@!ing stupid and pointless. I mean, geeze, we JUST had an alternate Cap a couple of years ago, and if they HAD to do it again, what exactly was wrong with "promoting" Patriot???

It probably doesn't help that they didn't let the Young Avengers writer use Patriot.
