Fred wasn't my favorite, but I liked her and was saddened by her death... but I loved Illyria too, so I didn't mind too much.

No main preference?  Honestly... I've fone them all in various forms. I used to olay a LOT of BtVS/AtS over on rpol.net Sooooo, yeah. I just want to play :-) Big fan of the Illyria stuff. The Well... All of that. Loved it. |

Ok, so after much consideration, and talking with Manah, I've decided to try this out. As for my opinion, I don't really like any of those ideas, as I was never a Buffy fan.. I was an Angel fan. Now as to an idea I came up with Cross Time Buffying: Something happened, and now all times exist at once, causing multiple Slayers to appear out of the woodwork from all times in history. The cast would be a group of cross time beings, possibly multiple slayers, possibly just scoobies, trying to make sense of this world, and trying to set it right according to the mad ramblings of a nearly catatonic Buffy who remembers what the real world is supposed to be  |

Yeouch. That's both one of the coolest, and most chaotic ideas I've ever heard. XD
Though I find it strange you would say none interest you, considering that #5 is basically exactly what Angel was, lol.
The one problem I have with such a setting is, how could there possibly be 'downtime' between adventure? If all times exist at once, there must be bazillions of nasties running amok, fighting countless heroes, while the authorities of multiple eras panic trying to restore order while dealing with the fact that monsters/demons/time travel/magic/everything else is real... wouldn't that bother you? Unless you see a way to make this a bit more stable than how I picture it?

I actually like the idea, I just don't want, like, everyone to exist at once. If all humans ever existed on Earth at once, for example, we would probably wipe out the planet in hours just from being there, lol.
Joking aside (or am I?), what if only supernatural beings, and those who fight them, as opposed to everybody, from all times, existed at once? This gives room to a MUCH more supernatural setting, while still making it relatively manageable as a world...

I'd be interested in a "The Slayer is off doing other stuff" story. I think Wesley was one of my favorite characters from Angel, but I might try something different from the pithy British rogue demon hunter for a change. Maybe something like Illyria. Old power meets modern technology, trying to adjust to the changing times.

If everyone is okay with there being no Slayer in the immediate area, I'm fine with that. I didn't absolutely want a player to be a Slayer, I just wanted to make it clear I was fine with someone playing as one, lol. No concepts just yet though, please...  Let's figure out the setting first. I really like Dio's suggestion so far, providing that supernatural only (or those fighting them) are the ones being brought together in 'one time'. What about you guys? |
