So, the first of what I assume will be about a dozen trailers for Avengers 3 I mean Captain America: Civil War has dropped:

The setup seems to work with the little information we have, but I don't know if it can sell the whole "They are going to hunt the Winter Soldier for past deeds even if he wasn't really in control" when they just got Wanda into the team (at least she's on Cap's side). It looks quite amazing beyond that, and I like how this first trailer does most of the work with just a tiny part of the movie (or so it seems).

Boom! I love that I think this will be the best of the Marvel films, even if it doesn't top some of the others in money terms. Avengers 2 was disappointing so hopefully this is Marvel back to its best.

I think it looks amazing. Not sure how Panther fits into all this yet, but at least he doesn't look too stupid. I like that the conflict seems to be over whether Cap should step aside and let Ross and Tony deal with Bucky; that's even more personal than the registration act business. And they seem to be using the Sokovia incident from Age of Ultron in place of the Stamford incident, which is also fine with me, as it's more intimately connected to the Avengers.
I also have hopes that this can be a better film than Avengers 2, and I hope it sets the trend of making slightly larger stories, rather than the old pattern of stand-alone films starring a single hero on their own quest. I just hope they don't go too far out of their way to make Tony seem like a bad guy.

Thoughts on Black Panthers costume? Too bling for me. Hows he gonna sneak around (the Panthers 'thing') when he's wearing all his chunky bracelets and stuff? I like that they 'upped' him to Captain Americas physical level too. We see Cap hold a helicopter ( ) in one scene and Panther being chased - and Cap struggling to keep up - in another. That's going to be a fight and a half to watch, I hope. Really up for this. I like both previous Cap films and hope that the second act (Winter Soldier) isn't the peak like so many trilogies before (Mad Max II, Empire Strikes Back, Dark Knight etc...) I think this'll be the last Chris Evans solo Cap film (these guys aren't getting younger, and RDJ wants to retire to his island made of coke and hookers in the south pacific, I should think) so with a bit of luck this will be the one to top the lot. The Thor Ragnarok thing I am 'meh' about. Yes, it has Hulk in, so should be fun, but Thor in the films has been pretty much a non event for me. With the title of 'Ragnarok' I expect we'll see a change of Thor actor in the future after that.

I think it looks alright. I expected there to be some metal parts, since they've already introduced the Vibranium connection, and that's probably how and why Black Panther gets involved in this story. All I really expect/hope is for the characters to not look too stupid; I think he doesn't look stupid, so I'll chalk it up as a success. (It's Scarlet Witch's getup that I don't care for..)

I'm going to see this movie I think you just did! But still, it looks awesome. I hear it has the longest run-time of all the MCU films, so hopefully it lives up to the hype these trailers are generating! <3 ~TWF

Trailer looks good. But Spiderman? Again with the costume change?
Looking forward to CA3 though.

Trailer looks good. But Spiderman? Again with the costume change? Looking forward to CA3 though. It sorta feels like Avengers 3, really, just with a focus on Cap and Iron Man. I dig that, actually. I think getting away from solo-films is a good idea. I hope to see more team-ups in future movies (Hulk will be in Thor 3, for example). As for Spidey's new costume, he's technically a new/rebooted character, so it makes sense. I know a lot of people online are complaining about the suit being too bright/glowy, and CG-looking, reminiscent of Green Lantern, but sometimes the CG looks bad in a trailer because it isn't as high definition as the movie will be. It looks like Stark designed it, too, since the eyes kind of lens open and closed, which is awesome. ~TWF

What does it do?" "They change design." "Just that? No improvements?" "Pleasing twice the fans is always an improvement."

Have really enjoyed the Cap films. Looking forward to this one. DC seems to be going grim and gritty all the way. Marvel seems much more fun. Sorta like it was when I was a teen in the 70s.:-)
