Mildred would normally be grumpy and wary of the incoming dawn, but not only she had still time to manage, but also she had to gather with her newfound partners. Not only because of some kind of loyalty to them, she was also terribly curious about what could be going on the Asylum. If things lasted too long she could always borrow one of the underground isolation cells to pass the day, it had been long but it wouldn't be the first time either. Darting through the night, enjoying the old school touch of leather, wood and steel of her ride, the vampire cut the streets of Gotham wide open.

John visibly relaxed, his first instinct has always been a rush of anger and its only been worse since the incident. It was only for an instant though and he was back in control. Wait she wasn't a vampire? That made him curious.
He'd always been able to get the information he wanted out of someone. Mainly do to his more questionable approaches to asking in just the right ways. He grew up in the slums of Gotham and learned what buttons to push, how to take a punch, and where to place one. He took those skills into the military. Now he was right back in Gotham where it all began. He studied the captain again, his residual drunkenness has far since faded and his mind was clear. She was a strong woman, intent, and above all dangerous. She played her cards close to her chest and she has issues with trust, that makes sense with her not being human. She was beautiful maybe gorgeous, but not vain. She's had her share of trouble and its probably worse than what he's been through. She was willing to sacrifice any of them for the greater good though what was good he couldn't figure out quite yet.
"What do you need me to do?" That was his training... give him a target,, a goal a task

Cerberus
Managing to lay a hand inside the cell, the feelins that came falling down on him were quite something. It felt weird, strange, out of this world. This was an unknown sensation to him. What was it? It felt sickening, like bees roaming around his mind. This was his father's mind. He could tell everything he saw was getting darker and darker. The shivs, the toothpaste...how did he get them? What was his secret? Someone here perhaps? He didn't know, he couldn't tell, the memories didn't show. So he was getting them when going out and getting them back in on the way back?
The more he digged, the worst it became. He was curious, he wanted to know more about this man. How many more chances would he have to see that man? He had no idea and why? Why did he wanted to see him, to tell him who he was? What was he expecting? Certainly not a touching reunion, that was for certain, but would the Joker even remember a date he had with someone so long after? Would he even care? Would he even believe him?
When john's returned, Cerberus got his hand off the wall, not noticing the extra eye floating next to him until he looked at it and just crushed it with his hand. It happened sometimes when emotions were overflowing or difficult to encounter. He looked somewhat sickened, yet his eyes reflected a longing for staying there, wanting to know more while knowing this was dangerous.
-So...this is my father...-
He whispered slowly, looking into the cell, unable to look away from that man. Unaware if his colleagues had heard him or not. He was lost in thoughts.

Christopher & Cerberus
John takes a sideways glance at Cerberus and swipes his hand out of the way as the door to the room slams shut.
"If you've got an empty room for us Gary I could use a couple hours." Says John and the door to room 5 buzzes open.
With that he wheels Jade into the room and once Mr Hernandez is in sits down on the bed.
"Ok, so, now we just have to wait. If this works I'd guess we'll know just before dawn. I'm planning on waiting here to find out. If you guys want to wait with me that's fine by this isn't the most interesting part of the job.
(OOC - This will take as long as it takes leska to play through the scenario)
Mildred
The night parts before you and the gates of Arkham loom ahead, you flash your badge and smile at the gate, one or both of them get you through and into the main car park. As always the entrance is unnervingly secure, or you imagine would be if you were mortal.
The entrance lobby is brightly lit for some reason and you notice both a doctor and receptionist waiting in there.
Slightly strange because doctors are normally on wards at this time, but maybe you are expected.
John
"Show me you can work with the others and get rid of the issue in the basement. I set it as a test before I gave them criminal cases. They pass, you pass. After that we start the next step of your training."
"For now though, they are at Arkham, that's where you should be. Let's see how fast you can adapt."

John smiled at the captain and leaned slightly forward "Arkham it is then." He leaned back and made his way to the door opening it but something made him stop in the doorway. He turned back to her "I'd still like to give you that walk home sometime Captain, You look like you could use some release yourself." and with that he Disappeared to Arkham. Arkham itself.. he's been there several times. Some of the inmates he helped catch again or brought them from his town... well his old town. Arkham was the only nearby facility able to hold most of the nuts, but John wasn't a fan. Not only because he hated psychiatrist, but because he's heard the stories of what they did to these poor souls. With that John appeared on the roof to have a smoke before he headed down.

Mildred's idle thoughts about spending the day in Arkham if needed be weakened as she approached the building. It had something stomach turning to it, no matter how much technology and security you topped the building with, it still was the same old and eerie place. The less you knew about the history of the asylum the better, but sadly Mildred wasn't quite able to forget certain things. A doctor being in the lobby made her rise a brow but nothing more, it was unusual but maybe she was expected or he was just flirting with the receptionist, who knew.
"Good night, I'm detective Buckley of the GCPD" she introduced herself, showing the badge on the inside of her jacket once more. Mildred rarely, if ever, had trouble being allowed into places. The ones that resisted her natural charm were usually victim to the unnatural one, or just trespassed in mist form if the impediments weren't human. Having a badge that opened the doors for her was comfortable, but it also removed a little bit of the fun of it. "There should be several of my partners around, can you guide me to them?" she asked, wanting to see what the rest were up to.

Cerberus
After witnessing the Joker's room, there was so much questions he had in mind, but ones he could not find for himself until he was better at controlling his own powers. They went into another room where they would wait. Cerberus wasn't done here. There was no way he could just leave now. Sitting down as well, he turned his gaze upon John.
-So...what do you know about him? The Joker I mean...except what the media tells...-
He ask slowly. While looking at him, one could tell the young man had not the nicest of past, his eyes were sharp yet clouded by some darkness.
-How long have you been using him like that?-
He had notice the mention of the Joker about ''borrowing his brain AGAIN''.

Christopher takes a seat in the room for a moment considering his words carefully
Since we have some time to kill might as well get to know one another no? Cerberus what exactly makes you think that he is your father?Mr.Constantine do you often do freelance work for the police or is your work of a more personal nature? Do you tend to help were needed or where the money is right?

Cerberus
Giving a side glance at Christopher, he looked down at his hand, then toward the ring around his neck. Taking it in hand, he just knew, because he saw it. The memories inside that ring, she had it that night, when they consume themselves in that insane fashion. He didn't like to think about it too much, this was enough disturbing as it was. The worst was that he could never forget it, even if he tried.
-I know he is...that fact cursed my life since the day I was born...-
He said slowly, finally looking up at Christopher. His eyes were cold, harsh...yet sharp, filled with solitude and amertume.

Depends on how you view it. If you let it curse you then yeah it always will if you use it then perhaps you can turn it into something positive. The Joker is your father which means you are the heir to one of the greatest criminal legacies in the world. You are also now a detective working on some of Gotham's strangest and most dangerous cases putting you in prime position to inspire others to break their own molds. Find happiness in knowing that people want to be around you because of who you are not because they fear you like him.... Use your demons to fight your demons. The circumstances of your birth are uncontrollable how you react and use them, or get used by them however is entirely up to you.

Cerberus
-You make it sound soooooo easy...-
His voice was cold and sarcastic. He looks at you, somewhat with lightning in his eyes.
-I don't even know if that man is aware of my existence...-
He says, looking at the ceiling for a moment.
-And to be honest...people who knew about that, well, they always looked at me with that kind of disgusted face or something...how am I suppose to take that in a positive way? -
He shook his head for a moment, he had to keep his cool, even if right now, his field was narrowed by the whole situation. He sighed.
-Do you know how many shivs he keeps hidden in there and on himself? -
He looked at John, then Christopher. He wanted to change the subject. But what could he say, except the first thing that came to his mind.
-I wish I could talk to him...get things clear in my head...even if he is insane...maybe I'd get some answers...-

Wresting control of your own life like that is never easy but the rewards are certainly worth it. It would probably be best if he did not know who you are, your life will probably be better for it though if you want to talk with him what is stopping you? You have the clearance you know the location if it will help you then I say do it.
Oh and the whole point is for you use what is already there you are a magical practitioner that should have been the first thing you learned, I am an empty headed rich boy who only got this job because daddy paid my way in, just ask Mildred how many times I have used that tonight, never mind my education is Ivey League and I finished in the top of my class I am a waste of space and time. People see me acting like that and keep going about their business once they write me off I am too stupid to understand what they try to say right over my head.
John there is surly and quiet because people expect him to be when he does not make waves people eventually forget exactly what he is and that is when he gets his best information. Use people's preconceived notions to do what you need get what you want and above all lift yourself out of whatever hole you find yourself in.
Find the best way to exploit how people see you and do it, because here is the thing you were dealt a bad hand but it is the only one you get so either make the most of it or fold, since you are here now I assume you want to actually try to make something out of it.

Christopher & Cerberus
John looks at you both from his seat on the bed then sighs.
"Kid," he says, addressing Cerberus first. "If the Joker is your dad, and I hope to god for your sake that he was asleep when you said that. If he is, then there are a few things you could usefully know. First of all, no one ever uses him, what I just did back there was offer him some entertainment. I encountered him a couple of years ago and shenanigans happened. Anything more is confidential. Secondly, calling him crazy seriously doesn't cover it. He is brilliant, manipulative, probably a sociopath, definitely sadistic and a complete enigma as far as his past is concerned. Psychiatrists can't diagnose him because he is smarter than them and doesn't want them to. Which is not to say he hasn't told dozens of them dozens of different stories about his past. It's just that all the accounts are different and none of them have been able to figure out when he is telling the truth. The way i hear it he's forgotten more about psychology than most of the shrinks here will ever know. He is also completely obsessed with the Batman for some reason."
"Needless to say his brain is about the most toxic psychic entity I know of which is why I'm trying what I'm trying. Talking to him however wouldn't answer any questions you might have. What it would do is give him a chance to get into your head and start screwing with it. If that sounds like fun to you then try it later, preferably after they have had time to prepare a nice padded cell for you."
"As for me, yes and yes." He says turning to Christopher and seemingly answering all of the questions at once. "I'm a private detective. That means I work for who I want to when I want to, assuming they can pay my fee. Sometimes I just save the world pro bono and work out who to bill later."
Mildred
The doctor in front of you looks at your badge and holds out her hand to shake.
"Doctor Elena Montoya, we've been expecting you. Because of the nature of her condition I had your affected colleague moved to our secure wing whilst she is being treated. If you'd like to see her I'll have a guard show you down."
John
You arrive on top of the roof at Arkham just in time to see Detective Buckley pull up in a beautiful Classic car and make her way inside. Your enhanced senses tell you everything else. She speaks to the doctor, shows her her badge.
Which reminds you, weren't you supposed to pick up your badge and gun? You're going to need either it or Detective Buckley to help identify yourself to the doctor. Doctor Montoya did just say everyone was down in the secure wing and you have definitely never been there.
You've already shown yourself up once this evening in front of the Captain. Was she right about your temper having the better of you?

Cerberus
The young detective looked at John, then sighed. He wanted to talk to him, but if it was as that man was saying, there was very few thing he could tell him, or ask from him. What could he do? Try to read the memories again? If crazy didn't cover it, incredibly genius could be another term. These two were often seen riding very close to each other after all. All odds were against him. If so many had tried, why would he be different? Would the fact that he was the man's flesh and own son change anything? Was he too hopeful to think so?
So many questions and now that the answers might or not, be right in front of him, they were running out of reach again. Then an idea reach his mind and he turned to John.
-Then let me in as well...-
He pointed toward Jade.
-I can't let my partner on her own and at the same time, I might be able to grasp maybe even a small bit of him...-
He said very seriously.

Okay think about this for just a moment the more powerful the mind the more capable of controlling themselves around certain magics. You want to be put into the mind of an insane super-genius who's mind was powerful enough to destroy something capable of doing this to Rodriguez? I realize you want to know more about your father and I think I might have an idea how you can learn about him without going to such extremes but this is a ludicrously bad idea.
Christopher was okay with him talking to the Joker, even though he warned against it, but actually going into his head? Oh fuck no.
