Cerberus
Cerberus was a bit surprise when Jade started talking to him, but he should have expected it, she was a telepath after all. He was just glad she was still in there. So he tried to respond to her as well.
-Oh hey...nice knowing you still there! We got a new friend who say he can help us...tough the way he is saying this feel like it's not a nice way to do it...-
Back to the two others, the young fae turned his head toward them.
-Jade is talking to me right now...say the things is...hungry...surviving on instinct or something...-
He informed the others. His eyes turned somewhat cold as he stared at the newcomer.
-Mind telling us what you are about to do...I do believe we can keep up our shield the time for a little explanations...because the way your saying it sound like it might kill her or M. Fernandez or even both.-
He said.

Hawkins realized that his co-worker wanted him to say something.. problem is he had no idea what was going on. He was slightly confused at the talk of demons and such but lets be honest. He's seen some shit and he wasn't sure where the line between fact or fiction was anymore.. not that it mattered. He would help out in anyway possible but he definitely wasn't the subject matter expert. not to mention the whole "ancient ladies" comment got his attention. he realized they were different but how different? only one way to tell.
"So I gather that your both older than me and I've never been with a cougar... anyone want to release some tension." he smiles and winks at them. He realized that they were in the work place but that kind of made it even more interesting. He was really just getting a feel for them seeing where the line was drawn but on same token.. he wasn't knowledgeable about demons but releasing stress was right up his alley.

Christopher & Cerberus
"Cheers, just make sure the doc can get back in, we're gonna need those papers." Says John with a grin.
He starts walking at pace down the hall, looking in each room as he passes.
"Now, trolleys, trolleys, trolleys. Where would you, ah, here's one, and a wheel chair. Ok, so we can start."
He opens the door to an apparently unoccupied room, darts in and comes out wheeling a trolley bed used to move patients who are unconscious.
"No, kill is what will happen if no one does anything. The body can only survive for so long without the mind and all that bollocks."
He wheels it out so it is directly behind Jade, collapses it down so it is at ground level and then moves to one side of her.
"Here, give me a hand would you, we need to get her onto this bed, but, yea, explanation time. Ok, little puzzle for you. You have an immature psychic parasite lodged in someone's head. You know it's immune to magic. Anything you can do to cause it to manifest will cause the persons head it is in to explode. You know it feeds on madness and hate. What do you do to get rid of it?"
"Oh and whilst you are thinking on that one of you grab the wheel chair from that room. We need to move the pair of them."
Mildred & John
The captain smiles as Mildred talks.
"Oh, I know for certain now that it isn't a demon. Well not a creature from hell or something someone with experience would associate with demons or demonic possession. As for John Constantine, well he can handle most supernatural entities one way or another. Of course his methods can be a bit unorthodox but you can be sure he'll get the job done."
She grins
"The tricky part is sorting out the chaos he leaves behind."
At this point John Hawkin drops his bomb shell and both ladies go frostily silent. If tumble weeds could get into the station one would probably roll past the door. Eventually the Captain speaks.
"You know what Mildred, why don't you catch up with the others. Mr Hawkin and I have a lot to discuss."

Ethical answer you find a way to lure it out with madness and hate and force it to manifest while in transit, or you make the host inhospitable by temporarily removing the food source.
Unethical answer, you find something with more malice and hate and let it go to them leaving it there or causing it to manifest after killing said host and letting you deal with it then.
Using his strength and telekenisis Bradly helps lift and place Jade he then brings the wheelchairs around.

Hmm captain didn't seem too happy. Guess she doesn't like to share. Soon as Mildred leaves (he winks at her if she says something witty back if she's angry he gives her a silent my bad) he speaks first. "Look Cap I'm sorry I violated the code of conduct but you kinda just laid a lot of shit on me. First off demons? Spirits? I mean what the hell? I've wanted to help Gotham since I was a little boy but I never knew that the monsters under the bed were real. And what are you? A vampire? Don't get me wrong I'm not judging you in fact its a little cool." he sits on her desk corner not disrespectfully but hes not intimidated by authority and he wanted to get closer to her. "but I hope you understand the brain bomb you just let loose in my head."

"I..." Mildred doubted, part of her wanting to defy the boss and try to stay to see how things developed. But she didn't get to be that old without having a good enough common sense as not to poke an angry bear, so she took her leave. It seemed that the 'surprise' that Christopher had left for her was in the shape of a classic car that she could drive, so she didn't hesitate to take it to reunite with his partner and the rest of them. Taking a mental note to thank Christopher for it, even if she didn't want to be too dependent on others, Mildred drove in the night. It was no demon, the boss herself said so, Mildred kept mulling things over and over. There was something on her grin as she talked about the chaos that the presence left behind that unnerved the vampire. Was it the boss being just playful or was it some sort of clue? Mildred kept thinking again and again of a Wyld fae, but she knew shit about how to deal with such a being even if she was on the right track. It wasn't as one could find a loophole in their cruel games without getting involved, and getting involved in fae matters was in general something to avoid, even if it could be already too late.

Jade was relieved to hear Cerberus speak back to her. She wasn't sure if she would be able to get to him from inside the mind scape of this man, but as she listened to his words, a bit of curiosity crossed her.A friend? she questioned while looking at the creature and tried to think of her next move. What are you going to do? she asked again while she was wondering what they were going to do to her in order to help her. Jade focused her mind as she continued to maintain the connection between Cerberus and herself as she did not want to have the communication cut out. Jade glared down at the tendril, she needed to get out of it's clutches and get out of Hernandez's mind, but for now she just bides her time. ------------ WS: 4/4 RS: 5/15 ----------

Cerberus
-I think he is gonna attempt to lure the monster out...-
He responded to Jade. All the while, he scowl slightly at their new friend. While he had to admit, he couldn't much in this case, he wasn't at ease with the methods, but was there any other choice? None to his knowledge. He sighed and helped him put Jade on the trolleys and the other one on the wheelchairs.
-I hope you know what your doing...-
He said to him in a cold manner of voice.

Christopher & Cerberus
John Constantine smiles and starts to push Jade toward the door.
"Solving a problem no on has ever been able to solve? Yea, I'm right in my element. As to how to go about it, well in order to get it to manifest you need the blood of an old one and the young ones of this particular creature don't really do transit. They stick in the same host until the are ready to hatch, then they manifest for long enough to find a home and then go all ethereal again."
The doctor comes back in at this point with a clipboard and a pen.
"Ah, hey doc, now give me a sec to write something down..."
He scribbles something on the papers then offers them to the doctor to sign.
"Now if you could sign there... And there... And finally there...
Doctor Montoya signs obediently apparently still in a trance.
"You're an angel, cheers doc. Now how about you go wait in the foyer. In about five minutes you are going to realise that you asked us to transfer these two people down into the ultra secure wing for their protection, until other police officers could arrive to help. No sense in taking chances with anything strange right?"
Doctor Montoya nods and wanders off without a word, leaving you alone again.
John carries on pushing Jades gurney out of the door
"One of you wanna grab Mr Hernandez?" He asks, apparently in a hurry.
He heads with you all in tow through the hospital and toward a big elevator, that appears to be locked via keycard. Pulling a key card out of his pocket he swipes it and pushes the gurney into the elevator, pushing the button to go down.
"So, anyway as I was saying, magic won't work, getting it to manifest will just kill the host, what do you do? As I was saying about the Fey, they always leave a loop hole in case they need to prove that they are cleverer than you. Unfortunately for them, they aren't."
He looks over to Cerberus
"No offence."
Whilst he is talking he pulls out a marker pen and draws something out onto the foreheads of both Jade and Mr Hernandez. You would both recognise it as something magical, and at a guess something that uses both summoning magic and mesmerism.
As he finishes the door pings open onto what appears to be a guard room. Three heavy steel doors lead out of here and the main feature of the room appears to be a booth behind which a man, you assume an orderly can be seen behind a console and some monitors. It's fair to assume that as none of the doors have an obvious opening mechanism the only way to open them is from the booth. In the room itself four men all armed with assault rifles and wearing body armour stand at the ready.
One of them though apparently recognises John.
"Well if it ain't Mr Constantine. Dropping off or picking up today?"
"Bit of both Gary, bit of both." He hands them the papers. "Allow me to make introductions. Detectives, Christopher Bradley and Cerberus Raven. The lady on the gurney is Detective Jade Rodreguez and you know Mr Hernandez here. This here is my good friend, Gary Delaney. Everybody say hi."
Gary Delaney raises a hand in greeting whilst reading the papers and his eyes go wide for a second.
"Do I wanna ask why Doctor Montoya has signed this, or is this gonna come under the category of weird shit, don't ask?"
"Weird shit Gary, definitely weird shit."
"You know if I let you in there I can't let you back out until he is back in his cell right?"
"Gary, mate, you worry too much, you'll give yourself an ulcer."
"Ok, it's your funeral. Tom, open up, they're getting access to thirteen."
The door to the corridor beyond opens up and all the guards make obvious preparations for trouble, though as John wheels Jade into the corridor none of them follow. It's a long corridor with only fifteen doors in it, each made of solid metal and designed it would seem to be unbreakable. They look like a paranoids idea of high security vault, each with a metal shutter that can be opened to look through.
"So." Says John, wheeling the gurney up to door thirteen. "How do we get rid of the parasite? We drown it. Oh, and I'd get ready, this guy isn't safe."
"Ok Gary, ready when you are." Says John stepping up to the door and it buzzes open. There is a brief pause and then the sound of chuckling can be heard from inside.
"Johnny boy!" Says The Joker, his face split wide with his trademark grin. "How nice of you to visit. If I'd known you were coming I'd have brightened up the place."
Jade
You try to maintain the telepathic connection, you really do, but suddenly there is a feeling on your forehead like a squeaky pen and a mans voice in your head that says
"Jade, my names John, I'm going to try to get you free, but this is going to be a rough ride. Just be strong, I'll make this as quick as I can."
And with that everything goes black
(Jade, please move over to Just for laughs)
Mildred
You look at the captain as she suggests catching up with the rest of the team and something in her eyes tells you Sergeant Hawkin is going to be paying for that remark in subtle yet terrible ways for a long time to come. Seeing the fall out now would be fascinating but seeing the fall out later will be better.
You hear for the car park only to be stopped on the way by the desk sergeant, sergeant Hooper if you recall correctly.
"Excuse me, Detective Buckley. Ma'am, the captain left this with me to give to you in case she didn't catch you. She said you might need it. Oh and detective Bradley had a car delivered for you. Here are the keys."
He hands you a set of keys, a small hip flask and an envelope. Inside the envelope is a note that says simply, 'If caught in sunlight, drink.'
(If you want to question this feel free otherwise:)
You get outside to see a car, a proper car. A 1924 Bentley 3 litre. None of this modern nonsense that turns your stomach, this is a car with soul. The sort of car that crys out to be driven with the top down and as if the gods themselves hear you the rain stops.
John
The Captain holds up a hand to silence you as you talk.
"I'm not angry, you're right, you deserve an explanation, but next time perhaps just ask."
"So, long story short, I'm very old and I'm not a vampire, anything more I'll discuss with you when I know I can trust you. As to the rest of the world, all the stories you've ever heard, they're probably all true. Vampires, were-wolves, zombies, ghosts, ghouls, little green men from mars, gods, monsters, super heroes, demons and super villains. Cyborgs, aliens, mad scientists, witches and wizards, cross them all off your disbelieve list they're all real."
She pauses for breath but not long enough for you to get a word in edge ways.
"A lot of them of course are like normal people, just trying to get by. But just the same as everywhere some of them go bad and for a long time the law hasn't been able to touch the bad ones. We've had to rely on costumed vigilantes like the Batman to save us from the monsters. Now though the commissioner has tasked me with putting together and training a task force to deal with the criminals only Batman could ever touch. So on the principle that sometimes you have to fight fire with fire, I'm recruiting."
"Now I understand from your psyche report that you have anger issues. That's good, I like angry, angry means when you are hurt and beaten and things seem hopeless you'll fight on anyway. Anger gives you purpose, but right now you are wallowing in it, you are letting it use you, you have to learn to use it. Believe me when I say anger can be one of the most powerful forces on earth if you can make it work for you and I can show you how if you are willing to listen."
"Anyway, you've got a score to settle with Hugo Strange, the man who took your fiancé and mutated you? Well we're hunting him at the moment and whilst Batman might not kill, I'm not Batman. So, you already have your badge back for as long as you can keep it. If you want a shot at Strange, want my help putting your life back together, you join my task force, do what I tell you and hunt monsters with me."
"Your call."

Detective Hawkins F*ck he had hoped they had left that bit out of his file but if she was cool with it then he guessed he was cleared. Damned doctors. He perked right up at the sound of strange and as if she had shocked him with a live wire he stood straight up as if he saw him right in front of him. His eyes lit up with flames of vengeance and he was already on board with making sure this man never would harm another soul. Hawkins uttered in a low growl, "Where." his finger nails dug into the desk as Hawkins imagined choking out the last signs of life from the good doctor.

"Poor dude..." Mildred mumbled with a sly smile, shaking her head and thinking of what kind of evils had the boss in mind for poor Hawkins. "Yeah?" Mildred informally questioned, as Hooped called for her attention. "Ohh, gifts!" she said amused, arching her brown since the captain didn't say a thing about her having something waiting there. She did like her information compartmentalized, it seemed. Pocketing the car keys without much question, but making a mental note to thank Buckley about that, her curiosity focused on the flask she was holding, while opening the envelope at the same time. "Hrrmm" part hum, part grunt, Mildred was equal parts surprised and somewhat irked about it. She didn't last that long by getting caught in the sun like some freshly bitten newbie, but at least it was a thoughtful well wishing gift that only meant well.
Mildred had heard of some methods for one of her kind to walk under the sun, with varied results of effectiveness, but all of those tended to come with a cautionary tale. Either the one using them grew accustomed and was caught on the sun when they failed, or thought they could lead a normal life as if they weren't a bloodsucking monster, not to mention the ones that had ill after effects. Mildred wasn't planning on having to use it as she stashed on the jacket's inside pocket, one never did, but it was a nice thing to have if the situation arose. Of course, it also caused more questions to pop in Mildred's mind about who the captain was, but they would have to wait. She would be using the flask if needed though, in a life or death situation she would chose to keep living.
In fact, that was a choice she had taken long ago.
"Oh Buckley you lovely wizard boy..." Mildred sighed at the sight of her ride. She really had to thank him for that and whatever gods ignored Gotham for the lack of rain. Lowering the top of the car, Mildred got ready, her hands at the wheel. That night a vampire drove a classic under the Gotham night, straight into the Arkham Asylum.

Cerberus
Following trough while their new friend used his little trick to get what he wanted, they descended into Hell part of the asylum with the two people. In order to save them, they would drown them? At the mention of fey people being less intelligent, a simple frown slip up his otherwise cold expression.
-None taken...I'll just remember not to leave a loop if I ever get crazy and start eating at people's mind...-
He says, this time, showing a darker grin, reminder of his origins. But he wouldn't have thought that he would be meeting with that man so soon. As they passed trough security, he gave them both a look that would probably remind them of a certain someone, nothing to make them more uneasy then they already were. Reaching for number 13, Cerberus waited until the door was open and he saw him, there. There was no mistake about it. His so often face seen in the paper, that almost legendary smile of his, eyes darker then black.
Somehow, Cerberus found himself having a hard time breathing, but that was only for a moment as he realised that he was actually seing his father, to the extent that the man could be call that, for the first time in person. The Joker probably wasn't even aware that he had a son. How should he tell him that? Should he even tell him about it? His mind started to turn upside down for a moment as he watch that man's face. To think that the public ennemy number one was him, his father.
-Madness huh...your gonna drown it in madness...-
He said slowly. His hand slowly reached for the wall of the cell, where the Joker was as he wanted to know more, feel it, understand it. He couldn't put his past sad beginning on his parent's fault as he never knew them, he only knew who they were but never really had wanted to meet them, but now that he was in front of one of them, it felt strange. Once again, a very similar smile like the one on the Joker's face lift his face as the memories of the place filled him in. His curiosity taking in over the current mission.

Okay so my way probably wont work because it wont manifest correct? But I am correct about finding a source of food greater than what they have... It is just this is too much of a.... good thing.
Christopher might be one of the good guys be even he had his limits and the creature before him defiantly was on the list of people he never wanted to come face to face with he toyed with his magic hoping he had enough power to subdue the Joker should he try to break free. He notes that Cerberus will likely be useless if there is a fight since he is having to fight back his own demons. Bradley has nothing to do currently but try and stay on the defensive as one of the good guys he probably should not attempt to attack Joker.
Perhaps we should move this along quickly.

Christopher & Cerberus"Hey clown, just need to borrow your brain, you don't mind do you?" John's banter seems light but it doesn't take a detective to see he is on edge. "Certainly! Go right ahead. I barely use it these days anyway." Joker grins and lays back on his bed his hands tucked behind his head in a nonchalant pose. He is apparently highly entertained by this late night visit. "So, how do we do this, do I just lie back and think of homocide?" "That's the idea... Somnum." This time John makes no effort to hide the spell. It's a sleep spell, likely as powerful as he can muster. Then wasting no time he leaps over and quickly traces the same symbol on the jokers forehead as is on the other two and backs out of the cell. In the time it takes to do this Cerberus manages to lay a hand on the inside wall of the cell and takes a taste of the energy of his father, just a taste, but that taste is enough. The sensation is like having bees on the inside of your skull, the Joker spends his days lost in his own thoughts, intermittently giggling at jokes only he can hear. He leave the cell occasionally, to go who knows where but no one comes in here. You know that he has a number of shivs concealed around the room and about his person, these are not nearly the deadliest things he has to hand however. The toothpaste, the contents of a cup under the bed and a wire beside the sink are all intended to maim or mutilate somehow. More disturbing still all the while you are seeing this a song is playing in your head. It's something you've never experienced before. It's not as though the song has been playing here and normally you only experience what the person experiences. The song however plays round and round in your head and there is a feeling of obsession to it. m.youtube.com/watch?v=gVok-7tDFF8There are skills here also, Crime, General Knowledge and many others others but as you feel them you can feel the sickness that comes with them. You've never read the energy of someone who was insane and it's not a nice sensation. You could delve further, or copy something but you are wandering into unknown territory and there are safer ways to test the limits of your powers than on the Joker. Mildred You speed into the night. Interestingly it is only going to remain night for a few more hours but the journey to Arkham is only a thirty minute drive, at least at the speeds your reaction time can handle it is anyway. John"Don't know yet, that's what 'hunting' means. If I knew where he was Batman would probably have handed him in already. I've got leads I'm following, but as I said, if you want in on this you have to prove to me you are ready." She looks at you straight in the eye, a look of deadly seriousness on her face.
