Will only be able to do that when we know the setting. Meph was able to do so prior to it, so my statement applies to then, to when I stated this, and to now. That being said... I don't think it necessary to wait longer before coming up with the setting, and I need to know it before I work on certain rules and aspects of the game to be. Hence, I believe I will make that call... right now. As you can see, the votes were spread fairly evenly, so people seem to like all Eras on average, but the two that come up on top are the Rebellion era, and the Old Republic era. Now, I'm taking two factors into consideration here: one, as I originally said in my first post at the beginning of this thread, I put the eras in order of my personal preference. Two, since the Rebellion era does not necessarily last too long, it will eventually step into the next era, namely the New Republic era, allowing us to continue on with new adventures in that era as well even after whatever happens in the Rebellion era. For those two reasons, I've decided that we will go with the former. Which brings us to the next step, namely deciding which among the following the game should start with. Please discuss. Note that I'm not saying we all have to agree on one absolutely and to hell with you if you want to be different, I just want a more or less unifying event which will help most members of the PLayer Characters group stick together for story reasons as opposed to 'well, you're the players, so you need to stick together.' - 1) The Skywalker Path (We're doing our own thing when all of a sudden, something happens to drag us into the story.)
- 2) The Antilles Path (We are agents of the Rebel Alliance right from the start.)
- 3) The Piett Path (We are agents of the Empire right from the start.)
- 4) The Solo Path (We are outlaws from the Outer Rim who end up mixed in with the Galactic Civil War on one side or the other.)
- 5) The Cantina Path (An homage to the classic DnD pattern of the 'tavern meeting'. We all come from vastly different backgrounds, end up at the same place by pure luck, and have to work together for some reason causing us to bond together.)
- 6) The Rendar Path (We are all part of the same Mercenary unit, hired together to do a job. Things might change from there as loyalties are build.)
- 7) Other; please give details.

I like the render and the piett path as I see them making a nice starting point.

I'd be up for the Piett or Solo path, .. we maybe the Cantina ? Am thinking the Emperor's secret Agent "Mara Jade" style.

So two votes for the Piett path so far, which is my favorite as well. One for Solo and one for Rendar, along with a 'maybe' for Cantina. Anyone else?

I really loved the idea of been trained by Vader or another sith of the Empire then finding that what I was doing is wrong. As for mercenaries. It would make more sense for me to be a togruta.

Yes and no. The Empire does use the services of Alien species, especially Force Sensitive ones. It's just that many Imperials tend to be racist towards such aliens. Still, when a given alien is an apprentice of the right hand man of the Emperor, most of the even high-ranked officers will know better than to open their big mouths.

True. Take Asaji Ventress for exemple

Indeed. And Thrawn, a Chiss who became Grand Admiral. The Empire is racist in general, not as an all-encompassing rule. Some Imperials are quite content with working with whoever gets the job done, just like Rebels are.

I have completed the packages for all of my personal favorite species, so feel free to consult my house rules for them to have a look if you want. Otherwise, if you'd rather pick a species not included in those I have statted up, feel free to aks. Most are acceptable as player characters unless I rule it otherwise, I simply statted up the ones I like the most.
A notable exception would be the Gen'Dai, which are frankly far too ridiculously physically powerful to be allowed as player characters. XD

You sure you don't want to look at the others just in case?
