...So far, 4/4 interested people are okay with the randomized powers deal - mostly as long as the packages make some sort of sense. Anyone else?

Hey, Kira. Sounds good. Alright. So... I think we'll move on with the random powers idea then. Thanks guys. And now, for my next question before we move on with the house rules and stone counts. I would like to create a new D&R chart. Said D&R chart would, among other things, include a human level range of abilities going from 1 to 5 instead of stopping at 3 in order to allow more differences between humans/human-level individuals in terms of abilities. And I was thinking of using this game to playtest it for the first time, so here's me asking you fellas if you would mind.

I'm okay with the idea. I personally think the current D&R chart is non-human friendly as it is.

Hmm that is okay by me but I take it there is some sort of sharp spike after 5.... I mean going from worlds strongest man Hulk is very very quick.
Oh and sorry I needed to come up with a concept.
Orphaned guy turned street thug who was always more interested in picking fights with the real trouble on the streets, but of course ended up with a record anyway.

There were some ridiculous spikes in the original D&R chart, you know. Str 2 can lift up to 250 lbs, and all of a sudden, Str 3 can lift 1,000? ...Geez. The D&R I'm working on goes up to 12 (which doesn't mean one cannot exceed it), which gives more room to spread things out a bit. ^_^ Concept sounds good, thanks! EDIT: Also, one of my biggest pet peeves for the so-called human limit: Speed. At AN 3, max speed of 40 MPH. Oh, really? ...The fastest a human ever ran was a little tiny weeny bit over 27 MPH. Nowhere close to that upper limit of 40. Also, Paul Anderson was once able to lift a little under 3 metric tons, the heaviest weight ever lifted by a human. Don't see that happening with a Str of 3, heh.

Oh I agree that there were problems which was why I was asking. But cool

I want to make sure that not all humans with solid training end up with 3s everywhere. I like to think there would be a lot more variation for the more human level heroes if they had more room for improvement than just 3 ANs. ^_^

Okay, so I MIGHT be making the table going up to 20. I just want to classify some things on it that would otherwise be left a bit unclear.

20? Sounds like it could get expensive to be above average strength/fast/smart.. I don't doubt your abilities to create a chart, but simple is always good too. You don't have to overcomplicate things to be great. Not saying you do, but DAMN I see the CADS you make sometimes lol....... I always thought a human D&R would look something like this, when it came to strength at least:
Strength 1: Atrophic (Can lift up to 30 lbs) Strength 2: Below Average (Can lift up to 80 lbs) Strength 3: Average (Can lift up to 120 lbs) Strength 4: Above average (Can lift up to 200 lbs) Strength 5: Weightlifter (Can lift up to 350 lbs) Strength 6: Gifted (Can lift up to 600 lbs) Strength 7: Super human(Can lift up to 1000 lbs) Strength 8: Inhuman (Can lift up to 2000 lbs) Strength 9: Extreme inhuman (Can lift up to 4000 lbs) Strength 10 Godlike (Can lift up to 6000 lbs) (The most a human has ever lifted was a little over 6k)
Something along those lines.. I can't even imagine how it'd go in the 20s, but that's for you to decide. I just hope it's not TOO expensive to be average in most things.

You're misunderstanding me. I'm not saying I changed the regular AN 10 D&R to an equivalent AN 20 with the same limits, I'm saying I wanted to cover more grounds than the normal D&R chart. So no, being able to lift 100 tons will not mean an AN 20 for CL of 20. With my house rules, it would be AN/CL 11, so only 1 more than the base rules. What I mean by the table going up to 20 is I also want to cover the more ridiculous levels. For example, on my table, Vibranium has a Hardness of 18. Light speed is AN 20 of Flight, and a fully enraged Hulk will have Str 20 (base Str 12, plus 8 additional levels from Rage). There is a difference, but it's not ridiculous. It simply allows normal humans more room to grow, and it covers more ridiculous levels up to AN 20. Some beings would be over even that; for example, my version of Superman has 23 Str. EDIT: Also, as to how much it would cost to be average with my new rules... 'Normal Human' is now AN 2 for all abilities, so it would cost 4w2r to be average in all abilities. I think it's still quite reasonable.

I suppose we'll have to wait to see what's brewing in that crazy head of yours, then. I never had a problem with anything you were saying, I was just hoping that my (average human leveled) brain could handle it.

Anyway the next week may be easier or harder to post it really could lean one way or another just so you know!
Nothing against anyone who likes Superman btw I just think he’s ridiculous and stupid

Trust me, Ushima, it'll be a lot simpler to wrap your average human leveled brain around once you see it. Noted, ridiculousninja. Thanks for the heads up. (By the way, while I'm not a major fan of Superman, I don't dislike the Big Blue myself. I think his concept is actually good, just poorly used by most of its writers, and overblown by its most loyal fanboyz. For example, sure, having Kryptonite as a weakness is great to even the odds with him. But for the love of God, STOP making him power through its effects with sheer willpower every single time he's affected by it. If it does not impede you, it is not a flaw! Idjuts.) 'Sides, if we wanna talk about ridiculous and stupid, I know for a fact we could find worse if we tried. But hey, why don't I show you guys what I've done so far with the D&R chart? ... It's not complete yet (so don't worry about the empty squares of the gibberish about rows and columns), but so far what I've made seems pretty solid. I'll post it below this here post.
