"And you'd let me use it? Well that's very generous of you.." Mike contemplated. "If you'd allow me to, then yeah I'd like to let loose with whatever I'm working with.." Mike said.

"It's the safest environment we can use our powers in without, um, necessarily causing massive collateral damage", McCoy said with a smirk. "That being said, we do end up destroying it every now and then."
"Jean and I will help you out with that", Scott said. "Thanks, Hank", he added, leading the way.
"...Anytime. Now you kids get out of my lab so I can get back to work", the big blue-haired man said half-jokingly.
As they walked, Jean explained some more. "The Danger Room, as we call it - don't let the name fool you, it's only as dangerous as we want it to be - uses beyond cutting edge holographic, robotic and energy field manipulation technology to essentially reproduce most any environment we can imagine, and beforehand program, into its system. We can accurately recreate enemies and obstacles in a controlled environment, manipulating aspects such as whether or not said threats can actually harm you, how badly, and how realistic the setting can be. Experienced X-Men usually go for normal threat levels, but I recommend starting low, especially if this is your first time."

"Thanks doc. I hope I can be of use to you in the future." Mike nods to Hank.
As they're going down, he listens to Jean's explanation of this 'Danger Room."
"So it's a simulation, but one that can potentially hurt you physically. Got it.." Mike said trying to wrap his mind around the fact that the greatest video game has already been created for all this time. "I'll treat this like I do for everything. Start off low, then once I get the hang of what I'm working with, challenge myself to see what level I am. If that works with you, I'd like to go with that." He said. "Before anything starts attacking us, could I maybe just shoot a few rounds of my powers off? Maybe just see what I'm working with here?" He asked. "I mean, now that I know exactly what I have here, maybe I can think of ways to use it better.." He said.
Just like going into a new video game. Find a safe spot away from enemies, and try out your controls. Find your movement, attacks, (both heavy and light) alternate abilities and upgrade tree. Only, Mike's upgrade tree would be dependent on his powers, which was awesome.
"That's the plan." He thought to himself.

"Certainly. We'll go with some basic training first, and I'm going in with you. Jean, you got the controls?" Scott asked as she headed into a door nearby.
"...Of course. You boys have fun."
"It's right there", Scott said, leading Mike through another door... into a corridor with reinforced, large windows looking down on their left into a massive, plain-looking, seemingly featureless ceramic plate-covered (or what looked like ceramic plate anyway) room with a single entrance. "That's the Danger Room with no simulation active. Trust me... it changes a bit when one is", he said with a smile, as they arrived in a lockers room.
"Get changed... pick a suit", he said, nodding at several shelves with cleanly folded black, dark blue and dark grey form-fitting uniforms with a subtle yet large 'X' marking on the chest, complete with boots and gloves, that looked like a mix between a motorcycle racing jumpsuit and a dark superhero costume. Meanwhile, Scott went to one of the lockers, seemingly holding his own uniform, and proceeded to get changed as well. "I know they may look a bit... odd at first sight, but they are made out of special material. Very resilient, yet doesn't restrict mobility... and believe it or not, but they are specifically made to work with the powers of mutants. If you were able to, say, grow twice your side, the outfit would grow with you, for example", he explained.

"Jumpsuits huh?" Mike questioned as he looked at one he picked out. Not his style to be running around in one of these, but they'll do for now. For now he tested the mobility he had in the suit by doing squats, stretching and extending and flexing his arms.
"Alrighty then. Let me know when I can let loose." He said getting himself loosened up.

It was surprisingly easy to move around in, despite how protective and form-fitting it felt.
"We're good to go then", he said, leading the way into the Danger Room. "Follow me."
They soon arrived inside the huge room... only for the environment to change completely after they closed the door behind them. Instead of the huge room from earlier, they were not standing in what appeared to be the middle of the street in a big city with skyscrapers, parked cars and so on, but nobody else but them, in the evening. It felt incredibly real, complete with a gentle evening breeze, the smells and distant noises associated with that kind of city, and an environment fitting to the sight around them.
"Pretty cool, huh?" Scott said, smirking.
"I'm gonna put up some target dummies for you to practice on", Jean's voice said from an unknown location. Sure enough, a dozen dummies seemingly made of various materials including wood, straw and plastic appeared around the location.
"Dr. Suresh told me you had an idea as to how to use your powers a bit, correct?" Cylops asked. "Wanna give it a try?" OOC: Not sure if you'll keep it, but just in case...

"Kinda? I guess I had a few things I wanted to try off the bat.." He said looking at his hands. "So. None of this is real then, huh?" He said extending his hand to one of the buildings trying to shoot an electrical current at the building.

"That's right", Scott said with a nod... as Mike successfully managed to fire what looked like an actual lighting bolt from his hand, striking the side of the building!

Quite shocked that his power worked, Mike became excited. This was real. This was the start of something amazing for him. He had always fantasized about having an incredible gift like this, but it was always out of reach for him as reality didn't allow him anything like that. However, this was an obvious change in reality.
"Scott. Jean. I want to thank you both for helping me out with this. I...might go crazy testing out these powers. So, when I think I'm going to go all out, I'll warn you. Don't want to accidentally shoot something off at you.." He warned Scott. "Ok...let's do this.."
Test 1: Differentiate levels of power. Start with force blasts of lightning starting at a low power at a target. Then gradually, get stronger and stronger until Mike reached his max amount of power. After testing lightning, he'd do the same with the other elements he had (blizzard, magnetism, wind)
Test 2: Magnetism at telekinesis? Let's see how much Mike can lift and control with ease. Test out his limits with telekinetic magnetism..
Test 3: Ask Scott if he has a 'flight testing room' that would be best for flight tests. Beast's machine did say flight was a gained power, which is going to be amazing to test. Start small. Very small. Levitation above the ground. Then actual flight at slow speeds. Once a grip of the power is somewhat had, try and fly around at different speeds. Maybe maneuvering in the air would be tested if he can get a good idea of how that power works.
Test 4: (Will put on hold for when he has more time/energy) Test accumulation of element. See what is his absolute max. *PENDING*
"Woof..Scott, please don't think you have to stay here and watch after me. If you get bored then by all means just leave me here. This is all new to me, and I'd like to figure out everything as soon as possible..So, sorry fro being a bother.."
---------
Action: Testing out power. All the energy will be used, and then resting until sufficient enough to continue different tests. Me being me, I'd probably wait around until I had absolutely no energy left to keep going.

After Mike tested his lightning bolts and other elemental control capabilities - though Scott did back off during the blizzard tests - in addition to using his magnetic powers, the X-Men field leader walked up to him.
"Well, if you're feeling like you wouldn't mind having enemies running around, then we can bring on-foot enemies with only melee capabilities so I can begin training on my own while you have fun flying around", Scott suggested, smiling at the young mutant's excitement. "You know, you can test flight right here in the Danger Room. Trust me, it can handle it."

"Well if you can put some enemies in here, I can do some target practice. That'd be interesting." He said turning to his arm to exert power. "Yeah send some moving targets, and I can practice aim. Maybe you can help me out with aiming.." He asked.
If and when the targets came out, he'd try and shoot out at the moving enemies trying to hit them efficiently.

"I'm going to generate basic street thugs opponents. Simple weapons, nothing too dangerous for now. Threat level, 30%", Jean announced, as soon enough streotypical street thugs/minor gang members appeared in the area...
...only for two of them to get shot in the face by one of Mike's lightning bolt, and a blast from Cyclops' visor. "Thanks, Jean", he said as the nearest thugs turned around and moved threateningly towards the duo.
