Murderworld lies ruined with the dreams of its mad architect, ARCADE. After dropping off Alicia Masters, the Battered heroes return to the Baxter Building. As the Fantastic Four approaches the building, they notice that it still needs a lot of repairs. A large gaping hole stares out where the hangar door once was, and the sensor devices are not working, though they are deployed. The automatic devices are not reacting to their approach. The elevators will not rise above the 30th floor. (The Baxter Building is a 35-story office building, the five upper floors are the headquarters of the Fantastic Four.) It's as if the building is dead. roxolidHuman Torch's Health: 40/60 Human Torch's Karma: 11 crisiscomicsInvisible Girl's Health: 46/46 Invisible Girl's Karma: 10 UrbanBlueMr. Fantastic Health: 42/42 Mr. Fantastic Karma: 110 Hoots RowletThing Health: 123/200 Thing Karma: 36

HUMAN TORCH
"I'll scout about the place... so long as the sprinklers are turned off!" said Johnny.
ACTIONS
Assuming the building has some kind of smart 'Human Torch' detectors so they don't go off when he uses his powers, Johnny will Flame On and start flying about, checking the place out for... anything. Bad guys, traps, hopefully find Franklin safe and well!

"Suzie. Think you can give me a lift up there?" Ben asks.

What floor are you approaching first? The 31st via the stairs, the rooftop or one of the windows on floors 31 through 35?

Well ideally I want Sue to create a platform to lift me to the 31st Floor.

Sue creates a force platform for Ben to use, and hops on to mark its location for him.
"I hope Franklin and HUBERT are alright, because the tenants sure won't like this... Top floor, Mr. Grimm?"

"31st Floor. I'll search my way up." Ben says.

Sue starts raising the platform to the 31st floor. Hopefully this is all just a technical issue and we can put the day behind us.
"Reed, how do you usually solve power outages in the headquarters?"

"Well, Sue, I could check the breakers in the basement. Johnny, accompany me?"
(OOC: I know nothing of electric systems, sorry.)

The Invisible Girl takes the Thing up to the window outside Franklin Richard's room on the first level of the Fantastic Four's headquarters. The Baxter Building has extensive security devices inside and out. Scanners check all approaching craft and individuals for identification. Hostile or unidentified vehicles or persons are not admitted to the building. However, automatic devices should react to the presence of two members of the Fantastic Four. Nothing happens. It's dark inside Franklin's room, but natural light from the outside allows Sue and Ben to look inside. They do not see anyone there.
Mister Fantastic knows that the Baxter Building's monitors and the computer run on standard power, and have their own backup generator. In the rare case of an external takeover of electrical systems, the halls will be lit by weak emergency lights, but the top floors of the Baxter Building will be, in effect, shut down. After a quick check, Reed and Johnny learn that elevators and power are working in the lower part of the building. Only the Fantastic Four's HQ is affected. This could mean the main computer on the third level of the Fantastic Four's HQ is down and the back-up computer on the fourth level failed to take over.

HUMAN TORCH
"We're in trouble Reed." whispers Johnny. "If someone can turn off our defences, can they also use them against us? You built them so you should know which ones to avoid but... Someone smart enough to mess with YOUR stuff might be smart enough to turn it against us. Flame On!" he said, causing his flame sheath to appear around his body.
"Let's go."
ACTIONS
Do the FF members know of secret ways in, ways to circumvent defences, any escape routes or secret passages into and out of their HQ?

"We need to get some manual overrides on these windows." Ben said smashing through the window, and getting inside.

They could also use the elevators or certain windows if the power to them was working. Other than that they'd have to find Lockjaw of the Inhumans to teleport in.
