Peter hears the sizzling of Morgana's flesh before he smells it. Pulling the pistol away from her, he looks at her to see her wounds begin opening back up and he remembers the fairy tales of his youth. "Ahhh," he thinks to himself. Iron always was a weakness of the Fae. Then the smell hits. The smell of flesh cooking itself from the inside out and Peter remembers he hasn't eaten since breakfast. Now, in a sick way, he's craving some bangers and mash.
Suddenly his nostrils are hit with the acrid smell of brimstone, and he feels the tiniest weight on his shoulder. Peter shifts his gaze to see Azazel perched, surveying the chaos down below. After Azazel shouts his orders, Peter knows he can't safely gather the pills at his current size, but has another idea. Looking to Azazel, he holds up Morgana and lightly shakes his gun.
"Well if it isn't the proverbial Devil on my shoulder. What do ya' say we put the witch in the bell jar and fire off one hell of a distraction?"

Kate was still shaking off the odd feeling that using her powers on that strange place had caused on her, but it seemed that she was needed to retrieve their price. There had to be some other way, but with the witch unconscious she wouldn't be able to answer questions even if they forced her to. Was it worth the risk? Probably, the sooner they got the girl back, the earlier they would be able to get out of that place.
"Careful" Kate echoed, more of a feeling than a word. "Never, you know me" Pryde voiced out loud, smiling and hyping herself up for the task at hand. Guided by Azazel, Pryde got ready to dive there and at least get a notion of where the girl was, if not retrieve her immediately.

Betsy collapsed with a breathless grunt, barely catching herself by planting her hands in the ground. Her arms shook as she kept from completely flattening out under her own exhaustion. Get up, Betsy. Get up. Elizabeth encouraged herself and managed to drag a foot under her, pushing through a shuddering leg to stagger back to her feet. Azazel's broadcast went out and a sharp pang struck through her mind, having already taxed her abilities with the plants. Still, her destination was clear, and Elizabeth would head for the dispensary.

Meanwhile =========== Although Azazel is used to being so fast in his attacks that his opponents don't even have time to blink, the speed at which Quicksilver moves is dizzying even to him. Seeing Elizabeth and Pryde move towards the missing girl, Quicksilver grabs Betsy and shrinks the two of them down with some of the Pym Particles he had been gathering before the others can react. He drops the remaining Pym particles, scattered about as they were before.
Wisdom places Morgana into the bore of his weapon, large enough now to make a human cannonball out of her. Firing the gun at the group of Multiple Men, Madrox scatters rather than get hit by her.
With Betsy dropping her guard, and her grip on the magical spell enchanting the natural elements about her, they begin to move on their own, wrapping around Morgana like a cocoon.
A vine slithers past Pryde, then coils back around, opening into a giant mouth-like flower, threatening to swallow her whole. The earth rumbles beneath her as more and more plants shoot up out of the ground. Dodging as she moves, she escapes their grasp but finds, perhaps to her shock, that the thorns draw blood, and appear to disrupt her phasing ability. She finds that her vision is starting to blur.
Beast takes a defensive stance, but though he is strong, he is nowhere near as strong as the giant Goliath, swatting him away rather like an annoying insect. ================================================================== [[OOC: Betsy is deeper into the rabbit hole, and temporarily out of contact with you. You can sense her psychically, but she feels both there and not at the same time.
Pryde will need to spend stones in Durability to fight off poison. Since she has no particular expertise in magic or poisons, I don't know that it would be fair to say how many, but I think she would at least be able to tell that it is a poison and something she can try to overcome with her own fortitude, just as Wisdom was able to shrug off the magical fire just by being tough enough to withstand it.
Goliath gets 2 red stones through Beast's defenses, so he takes 1 W stone of health damage due to being swatted.]]

Peter watches as the multiplying army move then cover Morgana. He then sees the downturn of this new "team". Elizabeth grabbed by the silver haired speedster and vanishing, the Yank being swatted away, and something happening to the ghost girl to make her corporeal again. In a split second, this mission had gone completely tits up.
If the witch wasn't controlling everyone, something else was. Maybe the girl they're after. They seem to be able to enter people's minds and with that comes the power to control. Peter had encountered one such entity on a mission a few years back controlling a head of state trying to get him to start a war. After tracking him down, he tried to control Peter into shooting himself in the head, but they weren't powerful enough to control more than one mind which led to Peter being able to break their bond and take out the target. Whoever was doing this though had power on a much larger scale. An unimaginable scale. They had to end this and end this quick.
At that moment, Peter remembers the tiny door. This day had been nothing but bad luck, so he figured he was due something to go his way. Hopefully the answers were behind that door.
Looking to Azazel, "Alright Devil mate, let's clear you a path and then I'll see what I can do for the others." With that, Wisdom takes aim at the door and pulls the trigger hoping to make a giant size hole in the wall.

Pryde winced, but soon surprise and horror replaced pain in her face. She was somehow struck while phasing. "Nononono..." she mumbled, hurt for the first time since she got her powers, an almost forgotten feeling. Panic and poison clouded her thoughts, blurred her vision. Was she going to die there? "Get moving kid!" Kate roared in her mind, prompting Pryde to grit her teeth and keep dodging. On the defensive she couldn't do much to fix the situation, too focused on staying alive, so she'd have to trust her companions to do something in the meantime.

Wisdom fires his weapon at the little notch in the tree stump pointed out by Azazel, a little burrowing hole that small animals might use, and none too soon as he can feel the effects of the Pym Particles starting to wear off, his body no longer able to keep up with the enhanced size and reverting to normal. The Goliath, too, begins to shrink, desperately trying to fend the last few Madrox duplicates off him as he does.
The bullet blows apart the tree stump like a piece of heavy artillery, revealing several small toys sitting beneath it. They can see a very tiny light, like two lone fireflies passing one another, but Betsy and her double are small enough that making them out from a distance is all but impossible.
The makeshift team races away from the cocooned Morgana, perhaps in hopes of fleeing from her before she awakens.
Azazel arrives inside the tree stump just moments after the bullet blows it apart. The shards of wood hover for a split second. He can see them spinning in mid air, changing shape into hundreds of tiny little dart-like points, before shooting at him. He's able to dodge them by teleporting away from their trajectory, but they continue to chase him in an effort to pin him down.
Pryde powers through the effects of the thorns, but begins to feel slightly sleepy, as if a deep slumber is falling upon her. The vines no longer chase her, apparently having done their damage.
Beast barrels forwards with little regard for his own safety, taking no effort to protect himself. He blows past the Madrox duplicates, but has less luck dodging the plants chasing him. A giant flower crashes on him and engulfs him with a cavernous opening, the fang-like thorns sinking into his flesh.
Madrox has pinned down our mad hatter, kicking and screaming to no avail, but continue to leave Wisdom alone.
Morgana continues to remain incapacitated though shielded by the animated plant life. ======================================================================================= [[OOC: Another 3 stones make it past Beast's defenses so he loses one more White stone of health. He is also RESTRAINED again. I've put what I think are his current numbers in the reference sheet, but if it looks like I'm forgetting something please let me know.
Kate has done enough this panel to avoid succumbing to the poison's immediate effects, but will continue to need to focus her efforts on resisting it. Alternatively, she can choose to be knocked out.
Wisdom is basically left alone with Morgana's plants now. Madrox is still ignoring him, Pym is RESTRAINED, and Morgana is still incapacitated for the time being. But he knows her weakness, and may be able to exploit it if he can break or burn away her plant shield.
Azazel is close enough to see what is happening in Betsy's side scene, though time is moving differently in our Alice's personal sphere of control than it is outside, and I'll be updating Betsy's thread soon to show what is happening as you guys are doing your thing. I think they're too small to hear, apart from the timey wimey shenanigans, and telling them apart might not necessarily be something your character is easily able to do - I'll leave that decision to you.
The various Pym Particles are more or less strewn about and easily recoverable by Azazel with his teleportation. Although he's still being chased by the enchanted plant life, it's easy enough for him to dodge if he needs.]]

As the world grows him, Peter feels the same pain of shrinking down just as painful as it was growing to such an enormous size. As he comes to realize all of his companions are making their way to where he shot, he takes stock of the fact that he's now all alone with these wonderland rejects. "Good," he thinks to himself. "I've always worked better alone and they should prove a nice distraction."
He notices that the multiplying henchman was down to a single entity now and wrestling with the goliath that was now the same size as him. It would be easy enough to take them both out right now, but at that moment, a nagging memory comes to mind. He remembers one of the many files on his desk of potential threats/allies being surveyed by MI-6 and then it hits him like a bolt of lightning. Hank Pym. An American scientist working on a formula to reduce the molecular structure allowing any item to be shrunk to a fraction of its size. Whatever tosser they had sent to surveil him didn't make any note of it working on living organisms, or the formula being able to have the exact opposite result which Peter now knew first hand was not just theoretical, but had real practical applications. He also remembered the final note in the file stating that their operative had lost contact with Pym over two weeks ago and his current whereabouts were unknown. "Well it looks like I found you, you poor sod."
As much as Peter wanted to help save Pym, he was serving a purpose right now by keeping the other man distracted. Also, from what he could tell, Pym had turned into a complete nutter at this point and that was an unknown he wasn't willing to deal with right now.
Peter then turns his attention to where he fired Morgana. He was hoping that the sudden collision with the ground would have created a bloody spectacle, but nothing about this day had turned out to be easy. He did know her weakness now though, and while the idea of pistol whipping her to death did bring a smile to his face, he glanced down at his trench knife knowing that would be a much cleaner and much faster kill. As far as he could tell, she was still unconscious, but the vines had wrapped themselves around her forming a protective barrier. The good thing about plants though, they're just kindling waiting to be set ablaze.
With a devilish grin that would rival Azazel, Wisdom focuses on the fire running through his veins from shrinking back down to his normal size and pushes through the pain to once again produce his flaming knives. "Time to slash and burn and kill us a queenie."

"Fuck" Pryde's voice sounded weird to herself, muffled, she was losing it and could end up falling asleep within that nightmare. She could barely see what was going on with all the mayhem and her own focus on staying awake. Her powers hadn't protected her in that strange place and she was lacking a plan b, no contingencies, no exit strategy. Maybe the rest had a better idea, than her inexperienced self, as old Kate was just worried about her, trying to keep Pryde awake. Maybe moving would help her, maybe it would make the poison spread faster, who knew what the rules were in that strange place.
Realizing that she needed help and she was out of ideas, she tried something different. Maybe helping Hank get free of those horrible plants would give the nerd time to think of a solution. Perhaps it was too late for him to avoid being poisoned, but at least he could have an idea about what to do. Disregarding her own well being, Pryde started a run, aiming to phase at the right timing to get Hank out of the plan. Maybe that would mean succumbing to the poison for all she knew, but she didn't see any other possibilities for that to end even slightly well for them.

Annoyed at having to temporarily abandon his objective, as well as by the arbitrary rules of this world, Azazel scowled at the willful splinters and teleported confidently out of their path. Like angry wasps, the sharp fragments turned and darted towards his new position, eliciting a quick yelp of surprise as he barely managed to vanish from their path once more.
Seeing that the flying thorns were still not ready to give up, Azazel cast around the field of battle, teleporting a few yards away as they continued their approach. He spied the decimated Multiple Man, now just a single figure brawling with the former Goliath, and his lips curled up into a mean smile.
"A game of chicken, then, as the Capitalists' say..."
Azazel kept a few paces ahead of the deadly, determined swarm of splinters, BAMFing over and over, half-a-dozen yards at a time to keep out of reach. He circled around a few times to keep them off guard, but his leaps were so abrupt and their flight so swift that it was only a matter of heartbeats before their seemingly random dance led to Maddox. Standing almost back-to-back as his intended victim struggled with Pym, Azazel pretended to exhaustion. In truth, slipping through the membrane between dimensions as he did took almost no effort from him anymore, so thorough and brutal was the KGB regimen he endured as a child.
Giving himself to the ruse, the red man bent a little at the waist, arm over his gut, eyes on the ground, making himself as tempting a target as possible – holding...holding...BAMF!
His flame-licked laughter echoed in the spot the darts swarmed through, carrying over to where he now stood on the other side of the combatants.

Betsy re-appeared, but not alone. In fact, anyone catching a glimpse would swear they were seeing double! The two girls seemed to have trouble with their footing, as if they were sea sick. While Betsy's "other" doubled over, sick, Elizabeth managed to keep whatever was left in her stomach down. Still, she was having trouble grounding herself. Everything was feeling like one sloppy dream after the next. Elizabeth managed to steady her twin, but was not sure how much longer she had on her feet either.

Meanwhile ========= With practiced precision Azazel maneuvers himself right in front of the dueling Pym and Madrox, teleporting away at the last second before the enchanted darts can strike him. Instead, they pierce the two combatants, causing Maddrox to loosen his grip. At first, a duplicate begins to split off, but partway through the original reabsorbs its double in a gruesome squelch, as both Maddrox and Pym drop to the ground, comatose. A thick black shadow oozes out of their eyes, noses, and mouths, expelled from their body like an over-long held breath. They coalesce into two hulking figures, their unnatural darkness empty and eternal like the realm itself, save for a single glowing eye, blazing with an evil and hatred so powerful you can almost feel it burning at and burrowing into your very souls.
But almost as soon as they form, the Mindless Ones vanish, the shadow blinking in and out and distorting, like an interrupted signal cutting out a broadcast.
Betsy and her double return to normal size, but while Betsy is barely able to remain on her feet, her would-be twin teeters, and collapses into her arms, in a deep slumber.
With the last of her strength, Pryde phases through the giant plant threatening to swallow Beast alive. His own efforts, while valiant, are all he can muster to keep himself above ground as the plant tries to drag him under. Pryde pushes him out of the plant's grasp before she too falls into a deep slumber.
Perhaps the absurdity of this strange realm is contagious, as Wisdom acts with murderous delight. The magically enhanced plants are strong, but even they cannot withstand a flame hot as the surface of the sun! Wisdom slashes and burns away at the plants moving around him and Morgana until he comes face to face with the witch herself.
Quicksilver returns to normal size shortly after, but simply races by the scene, apparently stuck in his programming, as he continues to repeat that he is late.
Morgana stirs. Looking on in horror at the gleeful smile of Wisdom, she throws her hands up to shield herself, crying "No!!!!".
Nothing seems to happen, though.
