Askari reflexively tried to steady himself as a force grabbed him and then tried to hurtle him up eighty feet to street level. Askari hissed in displeasure, his tattoos once again turning purple.
"Not the direction nor method I was intending."

Iboki manages to teleport away to a dark, damp room. It has a couch with a hole in one of the cushions. A stand is also here. But that's not all, a large, muscular, slimy monster is present. It is green and has horns, claws and two glowing eyes.
Piston finds two targets, not human, one almost under him and another under a nearby building. Bobby arrives at Yancy Street, and sees Piston flying nearby.

Silas was irritated that he'd lost track of the guy. Oh well. To the surface to deal with that monster.
Floating up along the ladder he glanced at the slime and then focused his attention on the manhole, which was moving out of his way slowly. Proceeding from a hole onto the street could be dangerous for a whole host of reasons, he could get ambushed by monsters, or a bus, or a sedan. New York was a crazy place.
Actions: H:6 E:18
Action 1: 2 stones into Flight Speed to move up onto the surface, I'm not trying to go fast but the extra stone is for sit mods. Action 2: 2 stones into psychokinesis to lift the manhole carefully, and 5 more shifted to defense to avoid getting hit by cars or to deal with anything unexpected on the surface.
Synopsis: I'm just leaving the sewers and being careful doing it. I'll replace the manhole once I'm through and above the roar of traffic.

Bobby looked around. He didn't see a monster, though there was someone in a robot suit. This couldn't be the monster, that would just be stupid... wouldn't it? Bobby resolved to find this thing as quickly as possible, he had practice to get to, and he couldn't afford to be too late. He knew that his superior vision would help him somewhat, and then his speed and strength would help him to deal with the creature in no time at all.

As Kevin leaves the store he walks toward his bike. Not the the fastest motorcycle ever made but it could hold its own. Looking at Phalanx (assuming he followed me) Kevin says, "My name is Kevin and I'm looking for whatever is causing the problems in the papers. They are talking about some sort of monster. If you want to come with me you can on three conditions: take off the mask, take the clip out of your gun, and empty the chamber. I don't know much about you but I do know you could have done quite a bit of damage to the store if you wanted to."
As Kevin mounts his bike he tosses a spare helmet to Phalanx. If Phalanx gets on the bike Kevin will head towards Yancy street.
"You comin'?" Kevin asks with a smile.
Action #1 2 stones in social skills to convince Phalanx to come with me.
Action #2 1 stone if vehicle ops to head towards Yancy Street in search of a monster.

Phalanx looked at the helmet and inside of it. He didn't see the point of it so he tossed it back. He pulled his rifle over his shoulder and pulled back the chamber from which a bullet dropped. Next the cartridge fell down into his hand and he put it into a pouch on his suit. Phalanx's hand went up towards his mask and grabbed the neck line of it.
"I can't guarantee you're going to like what you see. Most people haven't so far." Phalanx said gruffly.
He pulled the mask back and let it fall down like a hood behind his neck. His white hair fell down onto his blue skinned forhead and his eyes glowed with an intense blue light. He expected Kevin to grimace or shudder but he didn't take the time to observe. He sat on the back of the motorcycle and looked at the map. His eyes went to a long line labeled "Yancy Street". He paused as he remembered Kevin introducing himself.
"I've forgotten my real name. But the name of my rifle is Phalanx. If you wish to address me, that is what you may call me. Turn here."
Phalanx took another look at the map and memorized where the needed to go and folded it back up.

Alright, better have a look...
Piston lands to the ground, activating his hydraulic strength systems, to pry off the manhole cover and enter the sewer systems. He doesn't notice Bobby. He'd better check it out, it was too big to be a rat, and he didn't think the sewers really had crocodiles in them. Did they?

"This is... unexpected." Askari's purple eyes took in the chamber, and the monster. "I leave this pathway alone for a couple of days and the place gets refurbished." Askari smiled disingenuously at the monster, "I wouldn't rehire the decorator, he left the place homely."
Askari's tattoo's gleamed brighter as he built up magical energy.

Bobby looks around. He sees something in a nearby alley. It soon walks out into the light. It's a hideous monster! It is streamlined, like a hunting cat and goes about on all fours. It's green, slimy and has insect-like multi-faceted eyes. Silas arrives at the surface. He sees the creature. It's a variety of Sewer Monster that seems to be a scout rather than a warrior breed. Piston goes to open the manhole cover, but sees it open before he can get to it (You can keep that energy).
The monster that is confronting Askari strikes out with his claws. But it comes short due to the force field.
Kevin and Phalanx speed off towards Yancy Street. They aren't experiencing too heavy traffic, so they should get they're fairly soon.

"Sweet!" Bobby exclaimed as he saw the monster emerge, "Now let's see how superhuman fares against mutant monster!" he spoke to himself as he began to charge at the creature, ready to do a full body tackle- hopefully something more dangerous than the underwater ones that he normally did- this one would have all his muscular power, but none of the water resistance.

As Kevin motors towards Yancy Street he is glad to have some company. The Phalanx character seems to have just as many, if not more, problems as Kevin does. He seems to have lost his memory but why. Oh well at least now Kevin knows someone in this city, even if that someone doesn't know his own name.
"Well, Phalanx you are welcome to accompany me for as long as you wish. It seems that there are some sewer creatures causing a problem. Whether they are at fault or not remains to be seen. I'm sure you can appreciate a case of misplaced blame. If you are interested in helping me get to the bottom of this I would be interested in helping you find some answers to your questions."

Nearly colliding with the armored flying man Silas twirled to the side. Taking in the scene he saw he wasn't the only unusual one here, some crazy kid was running straight at the monster.
Scouts on the surface looks bad. Good luck for me there's only one solution to this problem.
Silas attacked mercilessly, recovering the manhole cover, he didn't want to hit the kid so he swung it in an arc down towads the monster. His hate for the beast shone through, but not as much as he'd like, keeping his eye on the other newcomers.

Action 2: 3 stones into forcefield shifted to defense.

Phalanx seemed to remember something at that moment. Something about these monsters. He racked his brain to remember what but the memory was gone. He had only wanted a glimpse of what he could remember but that opportunity was gone. He pushed it out of his mind and concentrated on the task at hand. It was all that mattered.
"Sewer creatures? Hm, sounds odd but I suppose it works. But if that's the case, I'd like you to know that I'm reloading my rifle. If we're to face some kind of creature, I'd rather not show up with an empty gun and receive nothing but clicks when I try to fire it. You have my word that the sewer creatures will be my only targets. Speed up, we're almost there."

Purple flames shielded Askari, turning back the claws of the monster with some effort. The purple light intensified as he finish his incantation.
They were rarely this bold, normally the monsters would slink off into the shadows once they meet some determined opposition. What has changed? What was that mutant doing in the sewers? No self respecting man would vacation down here willfully. He was connected to this mess. If the sewer king had been recruiting mutants of his power then the situation down here is more serious then Askari had previously thought. Fearless as the monsters are now they could start raiding, well, more so then they were already. Regretfully Askari resigned himself to rooting out this infestation, his research was important, but saving lives in the now was more so. The root to this was that grey mutant.

Wow, when they were talking about monsters, they weren't kidding!
Piston doesn't know what to do at first. He decides to save his hydraulic strength he activated for later, but will take a swing with his hydraulic-powered fists at the creature. He hopes the raw force behind his attack will take it down, but he holds back enough to hope that's enough.
