"You've got to earn what you get" is Silas Adams's motto. He was born into poverty and was able to excel only because he worked hard and was a super genius of a different level.
Silas has a history with the sewer, his family lived impoverished in the gutter until one day they were all killed by a hideous 6 hour attack stemming from the sewer that devastared his home neighborhood. He was always a frail child until his mutant powers manifested making him quite an athlete, although his immune system has always been weak. Despite his difficult beggining he was able to climb up in school and in achievement. He devoted his time to developing his telekinetic and telepathic powers, later hearing the news of a resurfacing of the monsters that had slaughtered his family and friends when he was young.
He immediately maneuvered his way into a police unit that was doing raids in the sewers and learned to combat the beasts. Blessedly free of a sense of smell he has learned the tactics to destroy the monsters and has had considerable success doing so, away from the concerned eyes of his wife who has no idea what he does. Now given the chance at final requiem for the villainous lord behind the sewer monsters' development Silas is driven, calculating, and cruel to an extent he's glad his wife will never see.

Kevin Long is the son of a business man based out of New York. Unfortunately for Kevin his father had a gambling problem. A bad gambling problem. His father owed hundreds of thousands of dollars to the Japanese mafia. As a down payment they forced Kevin's father to sell his son into a child slave trade. After several years under a cruel master some Japanese monks bought the little boy and took him as their own. As they trained the child they found that he was extremely proficient in the martial arts. Over time he came to lead the dojo. Over the years Kevin has been educated and has earned a masters degree in philosophy and has extensively studied the healing arts.
Now in his late thirties Kevin has undertaken the mission of finding his missing father. His journey has led him to New York. He is not alone how ever. One of the other ninja in the dojo is jealous of Kevin and believes he should lead the dojo. This ninja has followed him to New York in hopes of defeating Kevin or killing him. Bobby Knightsbridge was born a sickly boy, he had genetic disorders that almost guaranteed he would not live to age one. His parents depserately sought some way to cure him. That was when they found Doctor Harold Sternberg, a geneticist who claimed to know a way to save Bobby's life. Sternberg took Bobby away from his parents for almost two months as he experimented on the boy, eventually returning him, fully healthy. What neither Bobby (not surprisingly as he was only four months old) nor his parents knew of Sternberg's terrible secret, not only had he cured Bobby of his illnesses, he had also altered his genetic code, making him stronger, faster, tougher, smarter, more agile than any normal human could be. Sternberg wanted to make his fortune off of this middle-class boy. If he could perfect the superhuman gene-code then he could make billions enhancing all who came to him with enough money.
Meanwhile Bobby lived a good life, a happy life. He was cherished by his parents, not only because he was a miracle, but also because he seemed so perfect- he was the first child to crawl, walk, talk; he was fantastic at sports, popular with his peers, confident. He was a little arrogant and vain, but who could blame him- a dashing young man, good at sports and school. He quickly became captain of his school's swimming team, much to the ire of his elder teammates. Bobby didn't care, he had it all; girls, a good family and success at everything he tried.
Little did Bobby know that he was just Sternberg's experiment, and that one day the Doctor would test him to ascertain the success of his study, then he would need to disect his subject to make certain his enhancements were perfect.
Bobby displays a wide raneg of superhuman qualities- his mind works faster than most other humans, his muscles carry more power per pound than any normal human as well as developing at a phenomenal speed, this leads to a greater land speed as Bobby can put more power into his strides. The muscle mass he has provides him with super-durable skin and his enhanced eyesigth allows him not only to see further and in the dark, but also allows him to perfectly aim over quite long distances. Bobby's reflexes are also massively above the normal reaction time of a human leading to an ability to dodge blows that normally would catch anyone in their way. Bobby's body heals at a superhuman speed, fighting infection and damage with the ease that he powers through the water.
Bobby is vain, there is no doubt of that- he grew up superior to everyone, even his brother and sister, what of his as yet unborn brother he does not know, the chances of him carrying the smae disorders as Bobby do worry the protective older brother but for now life is good. He is confident and bears a grand charm, his one problem is his confidence- he has too much of it, he often gets into fights in the water with teammates and opponents, meaning taht he has picked up quite a number of 'body-slamming' techniques that he uses in any fight nowadays.

Age :: 27
Weight :: 207 lbs
Eye Color :: Varies
Hair :: Bald but sporting a new goatee
Description :: Marked head to heel in 'invisible' tattoos that become noticeable only when using/resisting magic, they shed light varying on the amount used/resisted in a given panel. A Dim glow when a couple of stones are used, a beacon with a dozen. The tattoos, as well as his eyes, color is dictated by mood. Calm/focused being blue, red fury ect. When above ground he wears heavy clothing to prevent his eyes/tattoos from being seen when uses catrips, and to prevent recognition. Heavy jacket with a hood, a turtle neck pulled over mouth/nose and sunglasses are common attire. Tattoos, inked by personal blood, can key individuals to his psyche, enhancing their recovery for as long as he has put stones in MoM for Duration. It also has the unexpected side effect of allowing them in off occasions to ride the link back to his thoughts in dangerous situations (precognitive flashes, but only in situations concerning Askari). Askari is wary of this side effect, and thus will only provide this benefit to friends.

Bio ::
Askari, named after his father, has always had his foot in both worlds, yet he doesn't belong in either. His eternal father abandoned his mother almost immediately, leaving her with the task of raising Askari by herself. A difficult job in the poverty stricken country of Zaire, and it eventually took its toll on her. She became mortally ill when Askari was 9, leaving him with the knowledge of his parentage. Left to fend for himself, Askari was forced into labor in a sweat shop to provide enough to live on. Over the span of two years he worked, cursing his father every day. At eleven Askari began to have enough of an understanding of his abilities that he was able to attract the attention of a town spirit-walker, Iboki, who, though mundane in most fashions, provided guidance, wisdom and healing to those who sought it. Askari learned a great deal under Iboki. How to help, heal and protect those less fortunate, and the spiritual rewards it brings. Askari also learn to finally forgive himself for failing to save his mother, though he couldn't find it in himself to forgive his father who had abandoned the both of them. Askari repayed Iboki in turn with selfless use of his natural abilities. His ability to heal through magic, although raw, saved many lives. Eyes were eventually drawn to him to the miracle healer, and on his sixteenth birthday a strange present was delivered to him, by way of a small envelope. Doctor Strange, the master of mysteries himself, had taken an interest in his development, and offered to tutor him in the mystic ways. Iboki, delighted at the news, wouldn't hear of any objections. "Make something of yourself, child, I can mind my wards. You mind your future." Askari though still unsure (he wasn't, at the time even able to speak english) accepted the offer and was tutored off-and-on (Doctor Strange always was a busy man). He learned a great amount under Stranges wing about magic. He also learn one more thing, an eternal, Sersi, was to be found with the Avengers. Askari confronted her and learned the truth about his father - he had died in an effort to foil a Morgan-Le-Fay brought Apocalypse. Those thousands of curses muttered against his father now stung at Askari's heart. His father was not to blame for his mothers death, nor was he, it was the environment. Askari pledged to help his impoverished people, lest more suffer like him and his mother. When an invitation was lent to Doctor Strange asking for his expertise in an effort to lessen world hunger, leaped at the chance to go in his masters stead. The work was to develop an affordable enzyme that would kill pests that would attack crops, protecting them perfectly and increasing crop yield, greatly in third world countries. Askari's drive and intelligence soon made him a project leader. Years of work, magic and insight made CROP, a derivative of Yeast, that could be manufactured easily and, more importantly, cheaply, that would solely target pests. That is, if it were not tampered with. Live coverage followed the single engine crop duster plane as it took the maiden flight of the cheap enzyme over Askari's home Zaire (chosen, by consensus in honor of Askari's contributions to the project), and follow as the plane climbed into the sky, going far higher then it should and exploding. Raining down the altered enzyme for miles, killing the hopefuls who were watching and many more in him home town. Many other crop dusters took off, with the same tactic, same effect. When the day was over, tens of thousands lie dead. Askari immediately headed back to the research center to find out what when wrong when he was intercepted by his mentor. Strange explained that Askari had been framed, but he didn't know how. However, if Askari turned himself in he wouldn't have the time to wait for evidence to show up. His home country of Zaire already was clamoring for his head, and if caught, international law dictates that he would have to serve trial in the country of the committed crime. An assured death. If Askari wanted to have vengeance on those who killed his people, he would have to strike from hiding, as almost anyone would turn him in if they recognized him. Including other Avengers. Meanwhile, the terrorists, if they want to make more of the now lethal enzyme, must track down Askari to do so. (The program itself was destroyed and made defunct)
Askari has based himself in the sewers that the player characters are planning in exploring, he has shored up all exits in his 'sanctum' making the only way of going in/out through teleport/phase shift. There are numerous books, tomes along with what research materials he needs to figure out what was done with the enzyme (he has obtained a sample). He leaves his sanctum only to get the food and materials that he can not otherwise get on his own. It is probably on one of this excursions that he meets up with the other PC's.

Call it waking up, coming into existence, realizing you exist, whatever. Phalanx came to in such a manner in the in the middle of a white room with one exit and a pain behind his right ear. In his hands was an Assault Rifle which he for some reason knew everything about. Having nothing to call himself, he took the name from the rifle he held in his hands and called himself Phalanx. Before he came to, Phalanx had been submitted to a rigorous experiment which reacted with his Mutant genes and resulted in his cancerous state and enhanced abilities. His implant keeps his cancer in check to some degree. He knows he has a tumor somehwere in his body, he's just not sure where. And he's stopped caring. Outfitted with abilities and equipment that he's not sure of their origin, Phalanx left the room and found himself in the middle of a massive city.
Phalanx's enhanced abilities are a direct result of the treatment he went under. The reprecussions however resulted in his current state. A cancerous tumor somewhere in his body. The Implant behind his ear allows a section of his brain to work at increased rates giving him the ability to move faster than the average human and accelerate his body's healing rate. Most people in Phalanx's situation would find themselves lamenting this new existence but something has allowed him to ignore it. He's loyal, looks out for others and never thinks of himself unless he's working alone. And even then, he almost always allows his opponent the chance to redeem themselves.
Silas searches the sewers for his hated enemy-the creatures only known as "Sewer Monsters". These creatures are deadly enemies to any creature they meet in the sewers. They are at war with the Morlocks. Recently they've even been seen above ground often. This was only a rare occurrence until recently. These creatures slew Silas's family. Then his police unit was devastated in a strike on the creatures. Now whoever created these creatures has made the fatal mistake of exposing his creations to discovery. Now that these diabolic monsters have begun they're attack on the surface, Silas can track them to they're lair and bring the man who created them to justice.
He enters a new tunnel. It's dark, and damp, like all the tunnels down in the sewers. There's a ladder to the surface here. And, the tell-tale slime that shows that the Sewer Monsters have been here. And it appears it went up to the surface.
Michael Hansen has just finished teaching and his students are all gone. So he looks at his copy of the Daily Bugle as gets ready to go home. He reads a headline saying, “Monster spotted in sewers now on surface.” Reading further he learns that a monstrous creature has been spotted in lower Manhattan. This looks like a job for Piston!
Kevin Long is searching New York for leads as to the location of his missing father. He has not had much luck, however. It’s cold out and white snow covers the ground. The people he sees are warmly dressed. He goes by a newspaper stand and sees the same headline that Michael did. This monster could be dangerous, maybe he should look into this he thinks.
Bobby Knightsbridge is at his apartment in New York. He just finished doing his chores as his phone rings. He picks up and he hears, “Hello, Bobby. This is Dr. Sternberg. How are you doing?”
Ooc: Let’s assume you know Dr. Sternberg, alright? And what age is you’re character anyway?
Phanalax wanders this city he has found himself in. He has heard from snatches of conversation that it is called “New York”. But he doesn’t know why he is here, or what he should do. Some people stare at him as he goes by, some run away in terror. He does look quite different from them.
Askari is running low on food. So he must leave his sanctum to get more. He uses his magic to exit his sanctum, walking straight through the walls surrounding it. He enters a chamber with a well-armed man and odd slime on the floor.

Name :: Askari
Species :: Half-Eternal
Skin :: Black
Height :: 6'2
Age :: 27
Weight :: 207 lbs
Eye Color :: Varies

Bio ::
