The rider could no longer contain his excitement when the grub hole was opened. As soon as the sky was visible, he came peeling out past his teammates on his sentinel with a long and loud yell. This was the first sign to who this rider really was. His voice was surprisingly young, something that couldn't previously be determined under the locust's armor. He took straight up into the air to spread his wings (so to speak) and came back down when the rest of his team emerged. The rider circled his team waiting for orders from his new commander. ************************************** H: 4 E: 12

=======
The Locusts advanced on the sight with the Rider circling them in the air. Charpman braced himself, so did the others. He held up a hand to them, and started counting down. Three.
Kronos descended a ditch to get down to the Stranger. She was close to the Raven, eyes blindly rolling this way and that as she sniffed for her enemies. Grud followed Kronos closely and watched as the Guard crouched to touch a puddle of blood. "Freshh."
Two. Mackenzie was shivering. The others were nauseated with fear, doing their best to appear brave even though they were pale.
"They're still here," Baros muttered through a snarl as he stood beside Pravus. He watched as the Stranger's head whipped towards the Raven. She stalked closer, and Baros pulled his longshot from his back. That was when the Rider saw it. He was circling above the group, and he saw the four COGs on the other side of the helicopter. They were getting ready to push it onto the Stranger.
One. "HEAVE!" The COGs shoved against the Raven. The screams were that of exhaustion and agony. The Raven tilted, then shoved over to smash into the Stranger. Pravus saw three soldiers wheel up from behind the fallen Raven and open fire on his squad.

[OOC: No! We just got that Berserker! ] The rider was not pleased with losing his ally before he had time to do anything to stop it. It was as if the COGs were waiting for them. This was definitely cause for concern. If they are prepared, there may be more. All of his concern was not enough to quell his bloodlust. The rider flew in an awkward style all his own to evade any potential attacks while he drew back the arrow on his torque bow and took aim. **************************************************** H: 4 E: 9 Action 1: Locust Riding 6 in defense Action 2: Ranged Combat 1 to take aim while charging torque bow Modifiers: Rapid Recovery Reflexive Dodge 4 Targeting 4 Toughness 2 -Armor: --+2 toughness --Accelerated Healing Factor (with delay) H: 4 E: 2 (OOC: gotta love that energy regeneration. (OOC: that is what I figured, I was just making a smart elic remark. As far as the Locust's reaction, I figure he probably hasn't fought side by side with one before because they are adapted to two different environments so I was trying to roleplay ignorance. I was going for something like, "Oh no, my brand new car has a dent in it!" kind of thing, you know? Oh well, what ever)

(OOC: Did you know you can grenade tag a Berserker? You have to stun her with a Hammer of Dawn shot, but it can be done. My friend and I pulled it off in Insane mode. It was friggin' sweet! Anyway...)
Colonel Pravus' eyes and mouth went wide with the thrill of war. "Groundwalkersss!!" he hissed. "Take cover! Give the Stranger some room! Fire at will, but keep one of them alive for...quessstioning."
The Theron Sentinel took his own advice, seeking out a nearby rock outcropping to hide behind before releasing a shot from his Torque Bow at the left-most human.
"FOR RAAM AND THE HORDE!!" ============================================== Health: 4/4 Energy: 12/12

Baird gave his friend a chuckle. "One of these days, Cole, I'm going to get you to share what ever it is you've been huffing. Must be some pretty good stuff, but it sure as hell fucked with your memory. The only 'new things' that the ladies were ever interested in were the 'moves' I came up with." He gave Cole a smile, showing he wasn't too serious.

((OOC: Congrats, Grim! You and Chubbs both got the movie. It's a pretty bitchin' flick.)) Hoffman snorted, passing a judgemental, geezer glare across the group. "Bring Phi back. If there ain't nothin' left of 'em, bring back their gears." He slapped at the pair hanging around his neck before his voice fell back to a growl again. "Good luck. Lieutenent Stroud will be givin' you all the intel she can. Com-links should be in the folder, if Fenix didn't break 'em." As Hoffman moved off, the red head COG held a hand out to Marcus. "Leave 'im. He just ornery because he ain't had no tapioca today." A wry smirk spread across his face. "I'm Major Jack Marco. We'll be cruisin' at about a few kilometers today with favorable skies," he chuckled as Cardinal climbed into the cackpit ((either that or "wee wee pit")). He reached down, and grabbed her armor, throwing it into the cackpit for her. "Don't sweat it, y'all, all right? You'll be back before you know it. Let's get out of here." Moments later the Raven swept into the air, leaving Jacinto behind. =================================== ((I think we're going with a panel of prep for Torque Bows from now on (for the targetting mod/AP). Just keep that in mind for next time. To keep things moving for now, I'll give you guys the hit.)) Kronos and Grud whipped behind what cover they could find. The rocks they all put between themselves and the COGs were chipping under the fire. Baros took shelter behind the same boulder with Pravus, and checked his weapon. "This shouldn't take long." Grud turned towards Pravus's location, roaring. "Stranger - !" Kronos grabbed his shoulder. "She'll be fine! Just cover her." The two unleashed every bullet they could muster on the trapped COGs. Charpman whipped his attention on Ben, shouting over the gunfire. "Ben, fire the flare now!" The Rider was being shot at by a girl down below, but he was easily able to avoid her aim. He drew back the Torque Bow, the engine revved steadily, as he took aim for the COG with the flare gun in his hand. "Ben!" Charpman hollered, "Fire the goddamn flare!" He caught an arrow in the shoulder, and Pravus's shot erupted his shoulder, bicep and half of his neck off. Charpman fell, panting and reaching for his gun. He was bleeding out bad, but he ordered the COGs to keep firing on the Locust. Sparlan had used enough of his energy to get the grenades off his belt and blind throw one of them. The next thing Pravus knew, something had soared over his head and clattered close to his and Baros's location. A grenade, one of the frags. They only had a few seconds to act.

(OOC: Ooooooh, I thought you had changed it after the discussion in "Generating Interest". Didn't want to tell you to change it all over again. Wellllll, I think I have some changes to make. Sorry! Heh, 1 stone would be something, and I am a nice person, but not that nice Mind changing stuff around in your newest post, unless you still want to aim/fire at the girl?))

(OOC: not a problem at all, although that one stone is actually 8 with a x3 damage multiplier. I could see how that would just barely be possible if the man had nothing on defense since he was trying to shoot a flare as well as fidgeting to pick it up. I will just delete my last post and repost after you edit my action resolution.)

Dom climbed in the Raven with his Lancer in hand. Having heard the mission briefing he felt a tug in his gut. He didn't feel like being the one to tell Anya her sister had been mangled and ripped apart in one of the many ways that could happen to COGs. He hoped Phi was alive, but knew it was unlikely.

The rider slowed his wild ride down just long enough to carefully aim his shot and releas the arrow straight at the chest of his target. He then proceeded his frantic driving style evading the bullets that were directed toward him. The rider took sight of the woman firing at him. He was ready to take down this annoyance next. **************************************************** H: 4 E: 8

((OOC: Could work for barrel rolls and aerial evasion tactics, but I'd say half your reflexive dodge when you are airborn. I'd say take a panel to prep, we'll see how it flies and go from there. And Dags, that is awesome that you guys tagged a Berserker. Seriously, I am going to try that after work for the sheer giggle factor that will ensue.))
