(OOC: I'd recommend having someone help. One person to fire the Hammer of Dawn, the other to do the tagging. You might be able to do it alone, I don't know.)
Pravus snarled at the sight of the flare just as much as the sight of the grenade. These pathetic humans with their cowardly tactics, calling out for reinforcements before the battle had even begun. He wanted nothing more than to strip the flesh from their bones...maybe make one of them watch.
In the meantime, action was called for. He dashed over to the active grenade, snatched it up in his claw, and with incredible strength tossed it back in the direction it came. Whether it hit one of COGs or not didn't matter, as long as it didn't hit his troops.

(OOC: Heck, speaking of help, what's everybody's gamertag on Xbox Live? I'm "ei poiio diabio". It's supposed to be "el Pollo Diablo", but some other guy had it so I had to replace all the l's with upper-case i's.)

(OOC: My gamertag is "Fireseadog". I once posted that it was Seadog, but I forgot that was taken so I had to go something else. Fireseadog was what was suggested. It isn't bad since I'm a red-headed step-child. The nickname Seadog was bestowed upon me by a coworder [because my name is Chris] when he called me "C-dog, but not the letter C. Sea as in the ocean." and it just stuck.)

============================= ((Ohhhlol, that's some dirty fighting, Dags I like it!)) The COGs were just about to rise from their cover and open fire when... the grenade was coming back!? Charpman's mouth ripped open. "Down! DOWN! DOWN!" The COGs rolled, Sparlan rolled to his one foot and sprang off it to collapse away from the explosion. His back was ripped to sh*t though from the blast, and his shoulder was now dislocated. Charpman and the others braced to the Raven again with Benjamin helping Sparlan. The Raven had shifted though, and the Berserker was beginning to wriggle freely beneath the structure. The COGs did not have much longer. Benjamin noticed he had lost the flare, the blast knocked it a few meters from their location. He had to lend his ammo to this fight though, he had to snap out of it... that was when he saw the Rider above. He was aiming for Mackenzie. Grinding his teeth, Rasbel dove across Stroud, gripping her body close under his as he took the shot in the back. The two stared at each other, speechless but understanding, before Benjamin was obliterated in a flash of red just six inches from her face. Charpman's chest heaved, he reloaded. Benjamin was gone, and they were soon to follow. This would probably be the last stand the old soldier ever made, better give them hell while he still could. Charpman wheeled his arms up over his cover, his upper torso followed. He yelled and shot up Kronos and Grud location. CLAP! A longshot fired, smoke curled through Baros's scars. The shot dove through Charpman's chest, shattering his sternum, then burst from Charpman's back. Mackenzie screamed, and tears burned Sparlan's eyes as the Berserker ripped through the Raven. She kicked the last piece off her to reveal Sparlan on his back with a Hammer of Dawn clutched in his arms. "Eat my sh*t, bitch," he sneered, and a red dot illuminated on her body before a beam came screeching down from space to impale her with burning shot. Nothing that would kill her, but she staggered away, batting at the burns across her body. What Pravus and the rider could see was an old soldier bleeding out, an amputated COG with a spasming half-limb, and a female COG who had crawled a few meters from the wreckage covered in blood. Kronos and Grud emmerged from their cover, two clips gone to the fight, but no injuries. Kronos turned towards Pravus while Grud went to investigate the Stranger's burns. "Sssir, orderss." ((Phew, meant for that to be shorter. Just got X-Box Live set up at my apt - finally!! Been playing lots of Gears and Shadowrun lately. Send a friend request to "OurLadyWar". I'll be playing one of those two tonight if anyone wants to join. Probably around 11:00pm eastern time))

He saw that the stranger had survived, but with the HOD coming down on her there was no telling how long that would last. It was time to show his teammates what made this rider stand out from the others in the locust army. This guy was a freak! The rider turned his steed toward the man holding the weapon and went straight at him. Just before reaching the man he rolled the sentinal and jumped on his target slicing at him with the blade of the torque bow. ******************************************************************************* H: 4 E: 6

Marcus looked to Jack and nodded. "I hope so. I've still got another year to sleep off."
A smirk broke the tension on his face and he directed it towards Dom before setting the Lancer in his lap and checking that it was loaded.

Colonel Pravus took a quick visual inventory of the remaining COGs, taking note that the woman seemed to be in the best shape. "Kill the one with the Hammer, but we shall ssspare the othersss...for now."
Confident that his forces could carry out his orders with haste, Pravus emerged from behind his cover and started to march straight towards the downed humans with an arrogance unequaled by many of his species. He knew that they could shoot him where he stood, but in the condition they were in he doubted they could kill him.
Although when he got to them, they would wish they had. ============================================== Health: 4/4 Energy: 10/12

(OOC: I think I was originally the one to bring up the active reload in the other thread, and I forgot about it completely. Whoops. Oh well, I suck at active reloads anyway. I would have hated to in the middle of my jump and have to stop mid-air to unjam my torque. Do we need to track ammo in our posts?)

Sparlan pushed to one elbow, and swung the Hammer of Dawn for the Rider's head. The locust ducked easily under the attack. Next thing Sparlan knew, his chest was split open. The shock of the pain froze him until a hand shot out and gripped the Locust rider around the throat. He was trying to choke him, but the Rider continued slice into him until there was barely a torso left to call whole. With his remaining strength, Sparlan spat blood in the Rider's face before collapsing to the ground.
There was not much Kronos could do that the Rider hadn't already done. He pulled a snub pistol, and shot Sparlan twice in the head. The COG stopped twitching. Charpman reached for his gun, he pulled it against his hip and aimed for Colonel Pravus. Grud went to him quickly, grabbed the Lancer and shot a fist over the barrel to break the side of Charpman's face.
The female COG, her armor not as thick as the others and blazened on her shoulder was a red and white "X". There was a medkit on her belt that thud on the ground with every attempt to move. Finally she stopped, and turned onto her back as Pravus made his way through the devistation. What looked like a pistol was lifted for him, her arms trembled, and she aimed higher before deploying the last flare.
Active Reload (Pravus): 6 Active Reload (Storyteller Roll*): 4 Grey: You reload successfully. ====================== ((OOC: I know Pun and Grim still wanna post, but I thought I'd write this in since all you guys would see this as well.))
"Amen!" Jack let out a short laugh, leaning back in his seat with a wide snicker. "Amen, Amen!"
Cardinal leaned forward, squinting behind her aviators. "Sir, we got a flare up ahead, probably about 15 clicks from our current position. Gonna check it out."
"All right, let's get set up. Take us down over the sight when you get there."
"Got it."

As the blood spewed out from his victim onto his face, the rider let out a sadistic laugh. Being spit at just made the kill that much sweeter. The locust rider revelled in the bloodshed of the groundwalkers. His attention was trapped quickly by the flare rising into the air. This was bad news. The rider called for his sentinel and as the beast flew overhead he reached up and took hold of a low flying appendige. He quickly pulled himself onto his steed and took to air. He needed to be ready for anything and his comrades could easily deal with the remaining threat without his help. ******************************************************************************* H: 4 E: 6

With a half snarl, half chuckle, Pravus smacked the flare gun out of the female COG's hand. "How typical of your race. You have a chancssse to cause me harm and die with honor, but inssstead you cry out for help. Pitiful." Just to be cruel (and certain she wouldn't be a problem), he kicked her across the face.
Pravus glanced up at the exploding flare before turning back to his troops. "The COGsss will not take long to ressspond, and I do not wish to reveal our possssition before we find our target. We will go underground. Grud, check on the Ssstranger. Baros, help the Rider get thiss bleeding male onto hiss Reaver. I will carry the female.
He reached down and brought her to her feet with a violent yank. He used his Claw, which meant that he had already pierced her flesh just by touching her. Nothing extremely damaging, but enough to cause her the sensation of pain. "Now, my dear, if you want your fellow human to survive hisss injuriesss, you will cooperate. If that isss not enough for you, then I have other methodsss of perssuasssion..."
He tossed her over his shoulder and waited for the others to finish their preparations before they all descended back into the earth of Sera. ============================================== Health: 4/4 Energy: 11/12

(OOC: I have been calling the Reaver a Sentinal. I don't know where I got that name from. My bad)
The rider reacted quickly to his general's order. He swooped down on his Reaver to pick up the bleeding man. With one hand, the rider reached out his torque bow and hooked the bleeding man to gain some leverage while lifting, and hoisted the human onto his Reaver. Without delay the rider retreated into the grub whole. ******************************************************************************* H: 4 E: 7

Baird reclined comfortably in his seat during the flight, trying to catch up on what sleep he had missed last night. The comment sent over the com mentioning flare brought him awake, though. Baird muttered a few curses as he double-checked his equipment.

Cole grinned as he lifted up his Gnasher and loaded shells, pumping it sharply and pointing it out the door with a laugh, shaking his head. "This is what the Cole Train gets up in the mornin' for, baby!! Get outta bed, put on the armor, and go smell some napalm! Ain't nothin' more relaxin' than blastin' some locusts back in their mothaf*ckin' holes." He grinned as he nudged Baird, raising a brow. "You remember when we used to keep count? You know, who killed the most of these suckahs? Those were some good times man. Hell, sh*t, if we get lucky, we might even find us a berserker to kill, man!"
