I rolled up a character that might work: Burt Wallach is a SHIELD agent whose body is now a walking factory of paralytic poisons thanks to mutated meteorite spores. He would've been deemed a danger to society and locked away for study had it not been for the intervention of his commanding officer, "Dum-Dum" Dugan. Thanks to a bodysuit designed to keep the toxins in check, Wallach is able to continue serving in the field, but as a lone operative working with SHIELD's New York branch to capture intruders or persons of interest. If you get tagged by Bioweapon, you're out. What did you roll up? This sounds like a good idea, with one catch. I don't want the bio weapon attack to be easy to use every round. Unless the target is unconscious or has a lot of exposed skin AND unaware of the hero's presence, I want to require a grapple to first be successful. The victim will then have a turn to try an escape, but if they are still grappled the following turn, then you can use the paralytic attack on them the next round. If you think of something else, let me know. I just want to make sure each character has multiple kinds of attacks to choose from each turn and good reasons not to use the same one all the time. Especially if the ability could take down a major baddie in a single round.

I'm fine starting with those stats for basics, but I'd like to be able to at least Duel-wield in the spirit of Zoro. Instead of: Weapon Specialist with Samurai Weapons (Katana & Dai-Ku) How about: Weapon Specialist Katana (Each round the character can either make one attack with Incredible Fighting or if dual-wielding Katanas, she may make two attacks with Excellent Fighting each.) I will also be counting your RED Edged Attack results as kills, so sometimes you may just want to punch people, if they are just punk teenagers that can be rehabilitated, confused cops or other heroes.

I rolled up the Poison/Paralytic Touch from the basic game at Incredible Rank (along with Feeble Air Control and Good Projectile Weapons), with stats wobbling from Typical to Good- hence why I came up with the bodysuit concept and SHIELD background. But since I don't have the stats for that version handy, I'll have to try again.
(rolls)
Okay, I've got three characters rolled up and their stats archived- two high tech wonders and an altered human. I'll send Andyman the stats so it's on the up-and-up, but here are their profiles.
The Amazing Ace- Ace Howard doesn't believe in superhumans. As an ex-chemist-turned-reporter, he spent a lot of time following the exploits and rampages of mutants, robots, gods, and aliens, but at the end of the day he doesn't buy it. Oh sure, you have your "ordinary" Rambo wannabes like the Punisher, Captain America, and those fine boys at SHIELD, but those "amazing abilities beyond mortal men and women"? Simple mixtures of animatronics, gadgetry, and human conditioning- all put together into the greatest publicity stunt the world had ever seen. Question is, what are they selling? And more importantly, how could Mr. Howard get a piece of that action? So by putting his scientific skills to good use and donning the best stage magician getup he could find, Ace rebranded himself as the Amazing Ace, the Superhero Magician. He builds his rep by battling crime, and earns his bread by doing demonstrations on talk shows for the couch potatoes at home. Once he gets famous enough, the Avengers will practically beg him to join them and learn his secrets. And once he learns theirs, who knows? He'll probably write a tell-all book about how the Wasp pretends to shrink or the Vision is really an actor in a suit. And considering the publicity he's amassed, it'll be hard to ignore him...
Morgue- Doctor Carlin Keller had studied the mysteries and theories surrounding the "Darkforce", and foolishly thought he could safely breach the dimensional veil and study the dimension with his Infraviewer machine. Instead, the machine shuddered collapsed on him, and both were sucked into the cold void before disappearing for five years. When Dr. Keller finally emerged from the darkness of his newly-condemned brownstone, he was withered and wrapped in white curtain cloth and thin, form-fitting metal. Stumbling into the streets and defending himself from some muggers, Keller discovered he had the ability to discharge the sheer cold of the Darkforce and vaporize a wooden bat with a touch... but he cannot do so when separated from his armor, nor can he withstand direct sunlight without enduring immense pain. Mortified by his condition and virtually penniless, Keller considers himself a dead man walking. And while he has found solace in the guest bedroom of his nephew Lucio, the man called Morgue realizes he'll do almost anything to find a cure for his condition... even KILL!
The Bouncer- College dropout and former football star from Des Moines, Iowa, Boone Bretsky put on the pounds after his life began to spiral out of control. While he tried to make ends meet as a rent-a-cop, he took part in a medical experiment that was designed to allow unfit people to adapt to and survive the G-Forces of space travel. Boone's examiners didn't notice any side effects from the drug in the centrifuge, but a couple days later, his muscle tissues became far denser and his skin toughened like rubber. Rather than report these side effects and become a corporate pawn, Boone decided to don an XXL red and yellow costume and solve his monetary woes by hitting it big as Iowa's premier superhero!
He still has yet to fight his first supervillain.

He still has yet to fight his first supervillain. Thank you! The Bouncer is my favorite. Also, on the in-game post. Take note of Captain Marvel's powers at murpg.proboards.com/post/548139. She can not use energy bolts and flight at the same time. (Sorry for this NERF I did to her earlier, but an intangible being that can do Monstrous damage seemed too overpowered.) BODY TRANSFORMATION. Captain Marvel can convert her body into any form of electromagnetic energy: radio waves, visible light, gamma rays, X-rays, and everything in between. While in this energy state, she can only be harmed by other energy of the same wavelength, or by energy-muting fields or devices, such as force fields, power converters, or the Darkforce. She can move at the speed of light, and can travel along circuitry and dodge with Unearthly speed and Agility. Captain Marvel also can pass through any material that allows transmission of electromagnetic waves. ENERGY BOLTS. When not using BODY TRANSFORMATION, Captain Marvel can project energy bolts from her hands which cause Monstrous damage and have Unearthly range. FLIGHT. She can fly at Unearthly speed after using BODY TRANSFORMATION to convert her body into electromagnetic energy.

Question... If GG turns Vision to stone at a heightened density will stone vision still many tons?
Because I have a plan to basically pump my density to max while laying on top of GG to immobilize him. I just wanted to run that by everyone before I tried it.

At maximum density wouldn't Vision squish Grey Gargoyle? Turning him to stone would cause various other problems too. I think Starfox is the strongest of the other Avengers and no way he could lift Vision off (as far as I recall).
Probably the best bet is to sock him in the mouth a few times and avoid that touch where possible. Cap Marvel is probably best equipped to attack from range (though doesn't Vision have some kind of forehead beam? Aside from looking sort of like Martian Manhunter I always thought the two were similar because of the seemingly endless stream of abilities both have, their status as heavy hitters and lack of emotion. Come to think of it has anyone seen Vision and J'on J'onzz in the same place?) and contain the guy to stop him running off.
Wonder if Scarlet Witch could turn him back to human. Or cause his own power to work on himself...

Well... Yes, but those are energy attacks remember. I'd rather not kill him if I can help it. I was thinking sacrificing myself to pin him down until we do... whatever it is we are supposed to do. (I forgot the mission beyond don't let GG wreck some lab or something.)

You'll have to try stuff in game to see what happens for sure. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! (Evil villain laugh.)

Finally (!) got round to finishing this: Boxed set in a book Credit to the guys who scanned this. A nice clean job, not like the fuzzyscans you can buy off Drive Thru of 80s TSR stuff... Combined the Battle Book, Campaign Book and Intro adventure with a small version of the map on the inside back cover. It's been sat in my book press for months, forgotten about until this week when I got off my butt to finish it off. I realise it's the wrong version for the game we play but might get round to printing/binding the revised game rules we use. Must admit that flicking through it is like a trip down memory lane! Last GM'd this as a teenager (which was a LONG time ago) and had lost the Battle (yellow) book whilst the Campaign (Orange) book was in a poor state. Other planned projects are a scan/print/bind of Golden Heroes, DC heroes 2e (maybe re-do 3e) and one or two others. All for personal use only and to preserve some of the falling to bits books I have in my collection. Most of the stuff I have is knocking on for 40+ years old so it's a bit tired by now...

I love that original version, but some of the added rules in the revised basic guide make a lot of good sense.

I think I have an original set of that (revised version) knocking about (box long since disintegrated) but may print those out and combine them too. This is just for nostalgia purposes really (and not being able to find the battle book).
Amazing when you look at the bullet stoppers of today that games used to come in thin books and provide all you needed...

Now if you'll excuse me, I need to start lining my jacket with RIFTS Sourcebooks.
