"I guess I made quite a fool of myself, huh?" The Jack of Hearts says dejectedly.
"Are you all right--?" is all Marcy says in answer.
"Me? Sure. That's the joke of it all. The very power that's killing me, that makes me a danger to the world at large, also makes me darned near invincible to any kind of attack."
