OOC: That's good to me. I'm trying to free him, so attacking those that aren't actually holding him is meaningless.

Storm's winds blow toward the rings chasing her, but much of the air passes through and around her aerodynamic pursuers. [OOC: To fly under 10 MPH doesn't require any stones of Energy. So I'm assuming that Storm is continuing to fly this Panel and not drop like a stone to the floor. However, in the future please add Flight for 0 stones as an Action. (As strange as that may sound.) Thank you!] Colossus shakes off half the tentacles, and after Wolverine comes to his rescue, only 4 of the metallic octopus-like limbs continue to hold him. "That's right Wolverine," Nightcrawler cries, "save Colossus. Don't worry about me. I'm just fine in this cage. Herr Professor, can you please whip up a holographic magazine for me to read in here while I'm waiting?" Wolverine's Health: 3/4 Wolverine's Energy: 4/12

Seeing how few tentacles were holding Colossus, Wolverine figured the tall russian would be able to pull himself out of the trap without his help. -Hey blue boy, if I leave Colossus and Storm behind to be trapped by tentacles or flying rings in order to save you faster, and I get trapped myself, nobody's gettin' you out of there at all! So be patient and enjoy your stay...He then jumps, trying to slash some of the flying rings as they pass by before dropping back down. -...until I can get to that friggin' cage to bust it up!------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start H:3/4 E: 4/12 2 into Acrobatics to jump high enough to reach the flying rings that are after Storm. 2 into Close Combat, plus 3 from my Armor Penetrating Adamanitum claws (I just love writing Adamantium! ) to try and slice a couple of them down; 3 on one and 2 on the other (and hoping for a situational modifier because they are following themselves at a real close range, just judging from your posts and the picture. Just tryin' mu luck here. ^^) End E: 0/12 Defense: 2 (from Ref.Dodge)

Colossus changes tactics against the tentacles holding him, massive organic steel frame producing every ounce of power it can as he kicks downwards, at the base of the tentacles. Hopefully, this would get him clear and enable him to aid the others in a timely fashion.
****
Action 1: Close Combat 10 stones to damage the tentacles, will abort the whole thing to oppose grapples if needed.

Storm flew backwards, avoiding the rings at all costs. She pointed her hands at the rings, bringing the full fury of the weather down upon the metallic rings, the singular lightning bolt becoming a gleam of yellow as it traveled along the rings, striking them all at least once. ================ Start Health: 4/4 Energy: 4/12
Action 1:4 into Mastery of Weather for a 4-stone Lightning Attack, 50' in diameter Action 2: 0 into Flight to fly at 5mph shifted to defense.
Defense:0
End Energy:0/12

OOC POST
Storm: I modified each X-MEN CAD so they are more equal in stone cost to each other than the version in the MURPG game guides. That is why Storm has the 2X damage or area affect advantage on her Mastery of Weather. However, Atrom needs to specify how many stones are going into area for that last 4 stone attack. 1 stone will affect an area with a diameter of 5', 2 stones for 10', 3 stones for 25'. Also, three of the rings are attempting to grapple Ororo, each for 1 stone of effort. so I also need to know if any of the 4 stones allocated will be shifted toward resisting grapples.
Wolverine: 4 tentacles are attempting to grapple Logan, spending 2 stones each. Will you reallocate any of the stones spent this Panel toward resisting the Grapple?
Colossus: The 4 tentacles on Piotr continue to grapple and 1 more joins in the fun. So as stated, all 10 stones will be re-allocated to resisting grapples.
FYI: I do use the Agility Initiative rule, so it is possible to destroy grappling objects prior to their turn in Initiative. This meaning when your turn comes, there may actually be less things trying to Grapple you, or you may be able to perform your action prior to being grappled. (Except for Colossus who is starting this Panel already grappled.) So choose wisely and let me know what you want to do before I post the results of this Panel.
Thank you!

OOC: I trust my agility, and these rings are starting to bug me... almost as much as they are bugging Storm. So I'll keep my first intentions.

"Be patient, he tells me. Wunderbar!" Nightcrawler complains.
Meanwhile, Wolverine has his own problems worth complaining about. Whatever Shi'ar technology is making the Danger Room look smaller than it really is, also made the rings appear closer than they are. So his leap isn't far enough to reach the hoops, but Logan does get close enough to Ororo to be zapped by her chain lightning! What is up with Wolverine and high voltage today? Well, at least he jumped out of the reach of the four metal tentacles trying to grab him.
The spacial anomalies in the room also threw off Storm's targeting. While the three hoops closest to the mutant get fried, the trailing three were able to avoid the inclement weather.
The organic steel Colossus deftly breaks free from the four tentacles holding him and holds back the grip of a fifth arm too. However, the Russian is tiring and can't keep this up for long!

-Goddamn it!... twice in less than a few minutes is really getting on my nerves...
Obviously, Logan had seen better days. He decided that he'd better try to rescue Nightcrawler as soon as possible, both to put an end to this "jolting-the-wolverine" contest and to keep Kurt from making another "I'm bored, get me outta here" comment!
-I'll be there in mere seconds... just gotta be lucky... for once...
Logan started running and leaping around as he tried to reach the cage as fast as he could while protecting himself with his claws. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start H: 2/4 E: 4/15
1 stone into Close Combat, +3 from my claws, all shifted to Defense.
3 stones into Acrobatics to run and jump as fast as I can to reach that cage.
End E: 0/15 Defense: 6 (2 from Ref.Dodge, 4 from Actions)

Swearing under his breath in Russian, Colossus raised his voice at the same time as his fists.
"I grow steadily weary. Weary of these games!"
Rather than endeavor to smash the tentacles, or continue grappling the ones he has escaped, he coils the solid steel musculature of his legs and propels himself backward. Having already noted the difficulty his two teammates had, he took more care in judging his distance, hoping to land far enough away to take a breather.
***
Action 1: Strength 3 for leaping 25' straight backward, plus 1 to overcome the dimensional distortions deviating our determined dashes, for a total of four stones spent.

Wolverine dashes for the cage, and is chased by one of the three remaining rings. However, he does get a little bit of luck. Nothing new comes out any holes in the floor or walls to attack him. [OOC: Wolverine's Animal senses tell him that at this rate, it will take 2 more Panels for him to reach Nightcrawler, even though the elf looks a lot closer to the untrained eye.]
Colossus does the unexpected. By leaping backward, his mighty legs take the young mutant out of reach from the nine arms trying to grab him. He's safe, but....
"Nein! Colossus, you're going the wrong way!" Nightcrawler cries, slapping himself on the forehead in disbelief. "Oy vey!"
Wolverine's Health: 3/4 Wolverine's Energy: 4/12
Storm's Health: 4/4 Storm's Energy: 4/12 [No post. Assumed to be struggling with the remaining 2 flying hula hoops.]

"That cage's quite a bit farther than I first believed it to be...", he thought to himself as he kept running towards it, albeit a bit slower. His heightened senses had just warned him of another danger: one of the flying rings was not so far behind him. "Oh yeah? Come on... closer... I'm waitin' for you!" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start H: 3/4 E: 4/12
1 int Speed to run at speed 2 towards the cage...
...while using his heightened senses to feel the ring getting nearer and nearer to him so he turns around and use the remaining 3 stones into Close Combat plus 3 from Adamantium claws to slash it down in mid-air!
End E: 0/15 Defense: (2 from Ref.Dodge)

[OOC: I'm hoping I landed a free movement away from Sparky, will correct if I'm wrong.]
"Maybe so, comrade, but I cannot help you unless I overcome the challenge before me... and as the Professor always says..."
The might Russian hefts the deactivated robot lion carefully overhead, with more difficulty than is usual for him thanks to his weariness. He then hurls it, as hard as he can, into the writhing mass of tentacles he's just recently escaped from.
"Always endeavor to make an obstacle an aid, yes?"
****
Action 1: Strength of 4 to lift the Lion, with his remaining 2 into distance thrown, aiming to get it close enough the tentacles will grab it and hit the mane.
