Cap righted himself and regained his dignity, then nodded ascent with She-Hulk. Now was certainly no time to try to send Spidey home. Since Starfox had already asked the obvious question, he merely listened. ***************************************************** H: 4 E: 9 or 12 (I'm not certain if I was supposed to subtract Acrobatics automstically, in which case I'm full, or if you meant Acrobatics that had been put into Defense, in which case I'm at 9) Action 1: 4 Stones into Acrobatics... just in case theres another Tremor while he listens. I did the math for everyone. Cap lost no energy. He knows how to react to the unexpected.

"You call this training?" Spider-man asks the She-Hulk in a friendly voice. "Felt more like an amusement park ride gone wrong." Spider-man's body is still tensed up, ready to move again at a moment's notice. "So any ideas what just caused that?" He asks out loud to no one in particular.

Moments later, a special high-speed rail-car shoots down the Loop, a 50-mile spiraling tube which connects and services all of the project's many underground levels!
"I still don't know about this, sir." The rail-car's driver says to Captain America as he shuttles the heroes in the direction the quake came from. "We're not supposed to let unauthorized personnel even know about the project's underground levels."
What the soldier doesn't know is that Spider-Man has been to Project Pegasus before. He even helped save this place, earning the gratitude of Security Chief Wendell Vaughn. [OOC: It happened in Marvel Team-Up Annual #5. ]

She-Hulk rolls her eyes at the stupid bureaucracy of it all. If they were here to stop this problem they needed to know what was going on, even if it was against protocol. But she waited for Cap to pull rank and get an explanation.

Spider-man briefly considers asking what got stuck up the soldier's shorts to make him so uptight but instead says,"The last time I visited this locale, they had a problem with serpent crowns." He gauges the soldier's reaction carefully to see if he is familiar with that past incident. He then goes on to describe his adventure and how he teamed up with Scarlet Witch at that time.

That's... where the quake came from." "Last we heard from Mr. O'Brien was just before he pushed the panic button and sealed off the entire level... domes and all! And something's jammed the locking mechanism!" Shortly, many levels below, the Avengers reach the end of the line. Starfox looks around, impressed by the technology of the base, but still readies himself for trouble. Thoe guards have apparently no more idea than them about who or what caused the quake, but if O'Brien had locked himself down there, there was probably a more troublesome explanation than what they'd all prefer to hear.
-All I hope is that the chief is still in one piece... say, I take it these are leading to the sealed off level, huh? And the locking mechanism's jammed? Does that mean our lovely green lady will have to knock at the door... or rather, knock down the door, for us to enter? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Start H: 4/4 E: 10/12

She-Hulk carefully looks out, "Something jammed the mechanism inside the dome?" She ponders. She hopes she's not going to have to try to make her own door around here. She wondered just what Project: Pegaus was trying to keep out. Or in.

Spider-man examines the door's control panel. "Looks simple enough." Then he does a few things to it that it looks like he shouldn't be doing before saying, "And now for the magic words...OPEN SESAME!"

Spidey works the controls but nothing happens. The security team is right, the doors really are jammed! The locking bolts are mechanical and the rotors can no longer move, because the operating links have been either severed or destroyed in the quake.
"We really don't know what's happened on the other side of those doors," the guards admit.

"I can try to get these doors open..." she gets out of the vehicle and braces herself for the best leverage (hopefully assisted by the kind words of Captain America.) She looks over to Starfox, who is a handsome devil she can't help but admit. "Wanna give me a hand? Maybe the two of us can open this together. You too webhead, last I heard you were no slouch in the muscle department."

-I think I agree with Cap on the fact you can more than do it alone, but then again, I would be a bad-mannered fool not to offer to assist such a magnificient lady as best as these old muscles of mine can...
