Kitty walks down toward the elevator after changing into a pair of jeans and an old shirt, her hair in a ponytail to keep it out of the way. As she gets ready to work on the Shiar computer and if need be help on the danger room it self. Pressing the button to open the elevator door on the second floor.

When Kurt sees the mess in the Danger Room, he wishes that he was instead in the tub with his girlfriend, Amanda Sefton. When Wolverine opens the door, he and the other two X-Men in the hallway see a very smug looking Mentallo. "Your voice didn't carry, Wolverine, but your thoughts did," Mentallo says snidely. Ariel changes into an outfit that she recently wore on a babysitting job that ended in the lair of the Morlocks! [OOC: This image is from Marvel Team-Up 135 which takes place after the current Avengers story, but before this X-Men adventure. Logan looked daggers at the man, but his expression changed to a smirk.
-You can hear my thoughts, bub, so you should know 'polite' to me usually means not tearing whoever I'm speaking to apart. I gotta admit I would have preferred to chat with your buddy, but I guess he must need to take some additionnal rest. Being knocked out for the second time in a single day by me tends to do that, y'see.
He approached Mentallo, but didn't do anything threatening, leaning against the wall, looking at him. After all, they did save him, and he might be actually willing to share information without needing to be convinced.
-Now, I had nothin' to do with you two until Fixer came in and attacked randomly everyone to avenge your so-called murder. I spared him. Twice. Despite his attempt to flee with you even though we had no intention to harm him, or you. But all in all, we saved your butt... and I think we deserve to know all you can tell... about this friendly fellow you might know as Magneto.

Rogue steps into the room letting Logan do all the talking. She takes up a position behind and to the left of Mentallo. Far enough away as not to crowd him yet close enough to nab him if he tries anything.

She closed her eyes... the question took her mind back. It seemed like an eternity ago when she had lost her powers. For her, it had been like losing her whole identity... She had gone from being a powerful godess, to being nothing. It was deeply frightening, and made her feel so helpless. Then, when she had traveled with the others to Japan, she learned that just because she no longer had her mutant powers, that she was still far from helpless. Her change of fashion had merely been an outward expression of her refound courage and self esteem. Yet now... now she had her powers, and the fashion remained. "Professor. You need not worry about me. I simply... enjoy appearing this way. " she said, placing her hand to her chest in a physical expalanation that her outward appearance reflected the feelings of her heart. Please modify your post. Storm never lost her powers. She doesn't get zapped by Forge's nullifier until later, after the Secret Wars. |

"I was recruited by Magneto to help steal nuclear materials," Mentallo reveals, "but when this friendly fellow had what he needed, he turned my mental booster machine into a prison. That's where you X-Men found me, before imprisoning me in this mansion. Still, I must admit, the accommodations are much better here."
Mentallo is in not noticeably locked up in any way, however he knows that the mansion's defenses as well as the school's inhabitants will turn on him, should he or his partner try to leave this level.

WolverineMagneto with nuclear devices. Sounds like a bad deal... When Mentallo made the comment about being imprisoned, Logan shrugged: -Only reason you're "imprisoned" is because you guys tried to flee while we still needed to talk. Otherwise, you'd be guests. So y'know whose butt to kick if you feel like punishing whoever's responsible. Fixer accused me of murdering you and he was wrong, so he still had that to answer to before disappearing. As for you, you owed us the talk we're havin' right now since we saved you. As soon as we're done, I'm pretty sure the professor will allow you both to return to... whatever place you guys call home. And though Fixer's better not accuse me of something I haven't done 'ever' again, I've got nothin' against you, especially since you're cooperating right now.Feeling that though not necessarily a bad guy, Mentallo sounds like he has at least some honor and/or good will, he shows him the map, getting straight to the point: -Personally, I have but one important question... see this map?
