THE BREEDER BOMBS Chapter Five[/center][/b][/size] When the X-Men are free and safely out of the Denning Military Reservation, their minds feel the brush of telepathic contact, and the image of Professor X stands before them. "My X-Men," he says, "I have determined the exact location of the Asian bomb. It is in the country of Arganistan, on the Soviet border. I will give you the coordinates...The flight across the Atlantic goes smoothly, and soon the Blackbird is soaring through the hostile skies over Arganistan. Several patrols of Russian MiGs pass by without incident, unable to see the Blackbird through its Shi'ar screens. But as the mutants approach the target, a ruby-red energy ray lances through the left wing, killing the port engine and sending the plane into a steep banking dive over the valley hiding the Asian bomb. Nightcrawler knows he couldn't repair the engine in time, and he doesn't feel up to porting. He examines the controls and the consoles and sees if he can help Wolverine, at least before Storm tries to evacuate everyone.

Rogue unfastened her straps and took stock of the situation "Ahm on it Logan." It was no use trying to persuade Wolverine to abandon the craft before it was hopless. Rogue could carry one or two of the X-men herself but, Wolverine was probably right that Storm could handle the whole team better. "Unless you have another ah-dea Storm, Ah'l get Wolverine out a' here if we can't save the 'bird. All'righ? She made her way upfront to Wolverine and Nightcrawler. "Could one of you fine men open the hatch fer Storm so Pyotr or Ah don't have ta bust it down?" she smiled.

Ariel gasps as the plane was hit and start to bank steply almsot knocking Lockheed off her lap, not bothering to undo her straps Ariel phases her self thru the straps as she stands trying to keep her balance .

"Do what you can to help Wolverine, Rogue. I will try and aid as best I can as well." Storm said, rubbing her wrists, glad to have the bracers off and control of the elements once more under her command.

Storm focuses and attempts to conjure a whirlwind to help keep the Blackbird from going out of control, attempting to provide a form of cushion of air to aid in Wolverine's piloting and hopefully aid in carrying the weight.

Wolverine prepares to land the Blackbird safely in enemy territory, but when Colossus's weight shifts from 250 lbs. to 500 lbs. and Ariel's counterbalancing weight phases out, the plane looks as if it's about to make a hard landing! Quickly, Nightcrawler and Storm compensate and the jet touches down perfectly.
"CAaya!*" A tinny voice from outside demands.

Colossus releases himself from his seat. No we can't surrender. They are not too supportive of Americans, here, let alone mutants, but we are on their land, in what appears to be a spy plane.

Wolverine wasn't typically one to wait for orders, and that wasn't going to be the case here, either.
Walking out of the (wreckage of the?) plane, he growled low at the Russians.

"Search, more than likely. Wolverine, be careful not threaten them too much... afterall, we don't want them to attack in defense." Of course, Logan knew how to do his thing better than anyone else, but Storm felt she might as well try to remind him to keep it scaled back some.

[OOC: I have no reference for Professor X having telepathically taught the X-Men Russian, but did find evidence of Wolverine knowing the language.] Exiting the Blackbird, Wolverine finds the Crimson Dynamo and a unit of Soviet Super-troopers near the downed plane. The troopers look shaken, but the Crimson Dynamo commands them to "<Shoot to kill!>*" Then does so himself, singing Wolverine with a bolt of electricity! Rogue's question is now officially a moot point. *Translated from RussianWolverine's Health: 3/4

OOC: I definitely remember a mention of it in X-Men 143, at least for Kitty.
As soon as Nightcrawler sees his good friend under attack, he leaps into the fray. He holds for a moment, seeing where everyone else is in the action before applying himself.
