OOC: I definitely remember a mention of it in X-Men 143, at least for Kitty. As soon as Nightcrawler sees his good friend under attack, he leaps into the fray. He holds for a moment, seeing where everyone else is in the action before applying himself. ========== Health 2/3 Energy 9/9 3 into Acrobatics, shifted to Defense Defense +9 (Reflexive Dodge, Costume, Acrobatics) Health 2/3 Energy 6/9 OOC: I looked at 143 and didn't see it. Also, the CAD for Nightcrawler in the Daily Bugle has no Defense Modifier for his costume, but he does have the Flexible Skeleton modifier. So this Panel Defense is 7 (3 Acrobatics + 3 RD + 1 FS). |

Not one to be left out of a scuffle the Southern belle leaps into action. With a little help from her ability to fly her 'leap' looks like something out of a martial arts film as she launches herself at one of the soldiers in a literal flying kick to the chest. "Take that soldia' boy."

Wolverine's weapons and Colossus's colossal punch come at the Crimson Dynamo, but the special operative of the USSR has the advantage of distance and initiative on his side. The carborundum alloy battle-suit launches into the sky like a Sputnik, before either X-Man can reach him.
"<I know you!>" the Crimson Dynamo declares, recognizing Piotr Nikolaievitch Rasputin. "<You are a traitor to the motherland!>"
When Ariel reaches the roof of the Blackbird, she can see that in addition to their leader, there are at least two Super-troopers for every X-Man!...
... though the one that Rogue launches herself at should now only count as half a soldier.
The Soviets fire back, but the X-Men are either too quick for them to hit, too tough for them to hurt, too intangible for them to harm or in Wolverine's case, the Russians are just so surprised he can still walk, that they leave him be... for now.
"<Destroy the others, but leave the defector to me!>"

Ignoring the bullets bouncing off her, Rogue focuses on taking down the troopers one at a time. She fly/leaps at another soldier this time grabing one by the face and slaming him head over heel into the ground for a quick KO.
Action 1: 1 flight to stay in close combat with any given trooper.
Action 2: 2 stones CC and 2 stones strength to clean his clock.

Storm steps out of the Blackbird and takes flight to take full view of the situation. As she does, she tries to conjure up a small whirlwind to envelop a group of the soldiers and prevent them from getting off a good shot.

Kitty walks on the air off of the of the black bird toward on of the soliders "We came here to help" She speakes in russian as she tries to move thru the Solider gun to disarm hopefully.

Rogue leaves the first Soviet Super-Trooper she attacked to grab onto the faceplate of a second. The coil between the trooper's mouth and chest makes a fine handle, but the metal armor also gives it's wearer a good amount of protection when Rogue throws him to the ground. The X-Men's skin is also tough, but not tough enough to counter a surprise blast of energy at her back by a third Soviet Super-Trooper! BLAST!On the ground, Wolverine exacts revenge for his airborne teammate by shredding super-trooper #4's armor. However, two Soviets rush Logan and grab hold of his arms! Before checking in with the seventh soldier, let's see what the Crimson Dynamo and Colossus are up to. "<A mishap in the Soviet Union? Never!>"* the Crimson Dynamo shouts, firing a barrage of electricity at Colossus. [*Note: This adventure takes place in 1984, two years prior to the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.] Piotr's training in the danger room helps him react in time to avoid the brunt of the attack, and his armored form handles the rest. Now Storm and Lockheed emerge from the Blackbird, getting the attention of Super-Troopers seven, eight and nine. However, Storm's winds disorient them before they can take aim. BONK!Nightcrawler's foot contacts the tenth's soldier's helmet, but the elf finds that he needed to kick just a little bit harder to hurt this guy. Still, by charging into close combat with the super-trooper, Nightcrawler avoids the Soviet's ranged weapon attack. The last two of the Crimson Dynamo's flunky gang up on a lone teenage girl. But this is no ordinary teenager. Ariel allows energy blasts to phase right through her as she reaches out for #11's gauntlet and short-circuit's it. Then, since Kitty also spoke to them in Russian, #12 responds with, "Help? No. Surrender now or I shoot to kill."Wolverine's Health: 3/4
