She tends to turn into a cat and hunt mices to eat. ___________________________________________________ STORY: Lydiah Carter was a sweet teenage girl who lived an easy life with her loving family. She was having a good time mostly, partying with her friends, studying (sometimes) and slowly starting a brilliant skateboarding and animal caring career. She had heard of the recent stories about the mutants, and was a bit reluctant to think about it. Her friends, her older brother and even her parents reacted negatively about mutants. "They should all work for the government, instead of endangering the whole human race", once said her father. So when she woke up one morning after a violent argument with her dad on the subject, and she saw that her normal brown hair had turned milky white, and that she bore the same ears and tail as a cat, she couldn't stay. She took her skateboard, ran away, and swore to never turn back. She was one of them now, and she didn't deserve what she once had anymore, at least in her family and friend's eyes. After having run away for some months, she had time to experiment with her powers and admit that she was now a mutant. And if she was one, she might as well use her powers for something. She decided that humans were sometimes cruels and that animals didn't deserve it. She swore to protect them from all threats, as well as humans who loved their animals well. Other superheroes didn't consider her as a hero worthy of that title, although some respected her dedication and courage, but she couldn't care less. However, when she was recruited by other not very-recognized heroes, she decided that fighting alone was not the winning way to do it. Besides, maybe "country cat" could learn how to behave amongst heroes if she did not belong to the normal human world.

STORY: One year ago, the mighty Thor was forced to battle the Juggernaut on a suspended bridge in the middle of a thunderstorm. Too afraid of the titanic battle to move, several innocent people were scattered across the battlefield, making things difficult for the blond hero who didn't wanted anyone to get hurt. Finally, after several tense minutes of violent fighting, the God of Thunder seized his mighty hammer Mjolnir with both his hands and smashed his opponent with thunderous blows, bringing him nearer and nearer to the side of the bridge. With his last blow, Juggernaut fell down the bridge, but his hand accidently dragged a young teenager along with him. James Dayfrost was a 16 years old student who was hoping to become an archeologist someday. He was passionned with mythologies, especially the Norvegian mythology, which he had studied passionately for years and knew almost from beginning to end. He was thrilled by the idea that one of the Avengers was perhaps the real Thor himself, and he possessed every single newspaper chronicle that was about the golden haired Avenger. He watched him in interiews and on amateur videos filmed at several places around the world. Thor was definetly his favorite hero of all times. So when James saw his hero battling Cain Marko on the bridge, a hundred meters ahead of him or so, he couldn't help himself, he had to get nearer to see him in action. This is what led him to what could have been his doom... if Thor wasn't as fast as he was. The Mighty Thor plunged towards the kid to save him from a certain death and managed to catch him, but as he was flying towards the bridge with the kid, James hand accidently touched the legendary hammer, Mjolnir... at the exact moment that a lightning bolt choose to strike the enchanted metal. When the Avenger's feet touched the ground, the kid was unconscious, or more exactly in a coma. He was severly burned, and strangely enough, his hair was blond, despite the fact that Thor was almost certain he had brown hair. Saddened by his failure to protect him from that fate, Thor offered his deepest apologies to the Dayfrost family, who thanked him for trying. James was sent in emergency at the nearest hospital, where he was tended to by the doctors. But he wouldn't wake up. ********** One year later, miraculously, he awakened. Without any warning, he opened his eyes, and asked for water. Surprisingly enough, the "kid" seemed like a man now, a tough, brawny man... and his formerly brown eyes were sky blue. After various tests, it was discovered that he had suffered serious brain-damaged and suffered from a strange form of amnesia. He remembered many things, but in a distorted way. The only explanation the doctors could find was that he had been dreaming during his coma, and that his excessive studies of norvegian mythology had been mixed with these dreams to create the "reality" the kid was now living in (he himself explained their apparent confusion as the vile work of his mischievious uncle, Loki). The kid called himself "Magni", the son of Thor and grandson of the mighty Odin, as well as the current wielder of the legendary hammer, Mjolnir. Trying to convince him that this was only in his mind, the doctors were astonished to see him brandish an exact replica of the Mjolnir, made of energy of some kind! James' family opposed to the doctors making new tests for the teenager, who was now 17, and they offered "Magni" to stay home with them. Seeing how he wasn't able to open a portal to Midgard despite holding the mystical hammer ("You'll pay for that, Loki!"), he agreed, but specified that he was the guardian of Midgard until Thor came back, so that they were not allowed to hinder his duty. Despite being surprised by their son's newfound personality, inhuman strength and toughness, as well as his new powers, mister and miss (Tobias and Lydie respectively) Dayfrost were so happy to see their son alive and moving that they accepted him as he was and encouraged him in his new work... Thus the son of the mighty Thor, wielder of the legendary hammer Mjolnir and Guardian of Midgard came into this world!

At the height of his career, professor Fisher decided to attempt to do his part for his country by building a special android capable of assisting humankind in its constant fights against supervillains. With this in mind, the professor designed what would be his last masterpiece, the Offensive-Defensive-Support (ODS for short) Alpha, a Battle Android, with physical might and weapons to put it on even grounds with most supervillains the professor had heard about, but also with many other systems that made the ODS Alpha useful outside the battlefield as well. The ODS Alpha could serve as a labor android, an excellent all-purpose computer with nearly infinite memory banks, a medic or help with any other similar or related tasks. He also made it capable of learning and bettering itself, making it almost fully independent. He christened his prototype OSD Alpha 01, nicknamed it "Nova", and installed a program of artificial emotions. Nova was born... ...unfortunately just in time to witness the death of his creator. Johnathan Edwards Fisher died of an heart attack that day, and no matter how hard Nova tried to resurrect his "father", there was nothing he could do. Feeling sadness for the first time of his short existence through his artificial emotions package, Nova found himself alone in the world... but he knew what he had to do. He had been created to serve and protect humankind... to do battle with those who would use their powers for selfish and criminal ends. And failing that, he certainly could get a good laugh from watching the inhabitants of Midgard destroying each other over a stupid and flawed law made by a stupiud and flawed government. The only good laws, Loki thought, were those ordered by a single, charismatic, powerful and perfect, a noble leader whose decisions could change the world... or crush it. Someone like himself.

An obsessive reader and RPG player, he also loves videogames a lot and eat (almost litteraly) Marvel books every day. A bit of a loner, he saw his friends relatively often, but he still usually prefers to be alone. His imagination and creativity are second only to his dry sense of humor and fearsome mastery of sarcasm. The key word is "was" a normal student, until he felt a strange and painful prick in his neck and ran for his life after being attacked at home by a strange, demonic creature that looked half-human half-animal. He fled to the nearest police station, where he met the detective Schneider, a man who told him his potential had awakened, and that he was the descendant of an ancient lineage of warriors that have fought against the forces of darkness for as long as humanity can remember. Schneider told him that the prick in his neck was the proof of his awakening, and when he checked, he saw that he bore a symbol almost litterally carved in his skin; a crescent moon. He also told him that he held great powers that would be his weapon to fight off the forces of darkness... but having not witnessed any changes in himself, James wasn't sure if the detective was right or not. Then again, the detective seemed to be very convinced of this, so Jimmy decided to trust him and accompanied him to Seattle, to meet with both a mysterious doctor Cravett and Rennyn, a fellow MURPG board member, both of which were supposed to be awakened as well. Also, apparently, the doctor Cravett was perhaps the only one who could tell James wether or not he really had powers, and which they were... He couldn't know it, but his adventures were only beginning... *********** Dressing primarily in black (not gothic, but very dark colors most of the time), he has tanned skin, and dark brown curly hair, looking almost latino though he isn't at all. Somewhat muscled, he works frequently as clerk in a supermarket, moving heavy boxes very often and taking care of the customers, though he isn't quite the social type. Overall, he frequently seems dark and silent, thinking about many things at once and not saying much about them, but in the end, he can be quite funny when he wants too... which is more frequent than most may think.

The sun will be punishment enough for your sins!" Then it was dawn, and the sun rose, his rays flowing on the ground like a tidal wave directly towards Eric Brooks... and nothing happened. He was covered head to toes in sunlight, and nothing was happening. Whistler now couldn't believe his eyes either. "You... you're not... what are you?! Aren't you a vampire?!" Eric explained his story to the vampire hunter, who examined him. He had the fangs of the creatures, and their exceptional resilience and strength. His wounds healed much faster than a normal human and yet... sunlight didn't burn him. And though he did killed humans to feed, he wasn't a killer when he wasn't thirsty. Whistler understood he had stumbled upon the only living vampire in history... the only half-vampire, with all of their powers but lacking their main weaknesses. A Daywalker. Bringing the boy back with him, Whistler invented a serum that combined special chemicals and ingredients that mimicked blood and calmed the user's vampiric instincts. When Eric injected himself with this serum, he didn't need to feed for a full day, so he could control his thirst and be almost normal. But Brooks had no intention to be normal. "I want... to be like you. I want to hunt these things. They killed my mother. They almost made me like them. And I wanna make them pay for that." "Son, why do you think I've kept you alive and with me all this time? Because I'm a good person?" "So you'll train me?" And so he did. Whistler taught him everything he needed to know, from martial arts, to swordplay, to gunslinging. He learned the weaknesses of his monstrous brothers, as well as their powers. He learned his own powers and how to use them to maximal efficiency. Soon enough, Eric had become a excellent martial artist and a deadly warrior against the shadows. He became a master at slaying the bloodsuckers that had ruined his normal life. He could hunt them without fearing what they all feared the most, and he was equally at home in the darkness. He had become Blade... the Daywalker. Appointing himself as the protector of humanity against the monsters that crawled in the shadows of night, Blade began hunting on his own, assisted by Whistler when it was necessary. He was extremely successful. Armed with his vampiric powers, his unnatural strength, loads of silver weapons filled with garlic, his dark humor and an urge to kill the dead, he entered inside nightclubs, restaurants, bars and late-night movie theaters that he had identified as vampire nests. He walked in, killed everyone who wasn't breathing, saved everyone that was if they could be saved, and got out. Soon, he became a legend amongst the forces of darkness. Some dismissed it as a fairy tale, others saw him as some sort of boogeyman, of whom the undead told stories to frighten their kin. Others believed in his existence... but that really didn't matter, as in the end, Blade killed them all. It was told that when Blade enters a nest you're in, you won't get out. An insanely powerful mutant named Apocalypse and his army had taken control of the world by force, and Earth's mightiest heroes hadn't managed to stop them. Though Blade had met some of these heroes and fought at their sides during times of crisis, he was too occupied with a very personnal battle against Deacon Frost, the very vampire who was responsible for stealing his mortal life away from him at the same time as his mother, to have been aware that the situation was so bad in the upper world. He couldn't help noticing, though, when he found the body of Whistler near his car. Not bitten. Nor drained of his blood. Shot. In the head, three times. Blade searched for clues, and discovered soon who was the culprit. Who were the culprits, in fact. Soldiers of Apocalypse. Scum that had shot the only man Blade had ever called a friend for wandering into a restricted area in pursuit of a vampire. Blade killed them with his bare hands, enraged. Now, Apocalypse ruled with an iron fist over the world and enforced his will and his vision of "survival of the fittest". He wiped out a large part of humanity, and hunted his foes worldwide. The forces of darkness evaded his grasp, though, mostly because they were feeding on the weak, so En Sabah Nur tolerated them... he even appreciated them. Blade, on the other hand, wouldn't let them be. His sworn duty hadn't changed with the world; he would destroy the vampires. He would destroy the bastards that had killed Whistler, and their comrades, and their leader. He would protect humanity... and when the time come, he would help take down Apocalypse... or die trying.

Sometimes, Blake came to wonder if S.H.I.E.L.D was really interested in him because of his medical knowledge... or because they had an idea of who he really was. But, whatever reason they had, he had spent enough time with them to know that they were fighting the good fight... and that Odin would return him to his true form when he decided that the God of Thunder had atoned for his sins and was ready to fight the good fight as well.

Back then, he traveled the world, looking for knowledge and a place to call home, which he finally thought to have found when he met a wonderful woman named Sindella Maximoff. They married and settled together in a nice home, and his new wife bore him two healthy children, the twins Zachary and Zatanna. Unbeknowst to Emerson, however, Sindella wasn't human... nor a mutant. She was one of the Homo Magi, human-like magical beings whose powers were transmitted from mother to daughter. While Zachary's powers mostly came from his father's mutant genes with only a few gifts from his mother (he would later become the hero Quicksilver, a super-fast mutant unusually resilient against magical attacks except those of his sister), Zatanna inherited most of her mother's powers, which she would develop later. Everything seemed to be going fine for several years, until nearby villagers learned that Eric Emerson was actually a mutant. Afraid and angered, they went to kill him and his family during a savage night... but Emerson wasn't at home at that moment. The villagers took Sindella by surprise, and the last thing she could do was to cast a protective spell around her daughter... before she was killed by a villager while others set fire to the house. Zatanna witnessed the whole event from behind her protective barrier, while her brother was knocked unconscious by the villagers. She saw her mother die... she saw her house burn... and the last thing she saw was her enraged father unleashing the full might of his magnetic powers on the terrified humans, believing that both his wife and his children had been killed (and being half-right about it). Zatanna was scared like never before, and she thought that her brother was dead. It was the first time the her powers manifested... holding her brother, she teleported them both out of the village and away from the pain and destruction. That was fifteen years ago. Zatanna and her brother were raised by a group of travelers who found them in a campaign road, performers and artists who teached them to survive by themselves and about the world in general. They travelled with them for several years until they were separated when Zachary went with the love of his life to join a group of superheroes. Zatanna left the travellers as well, only to meet with her father once again. Emerson saved her from a group of street thugs and offered her to join him once he witnessed her powers. It was only later that they would realize they were family, and then she accepted to join his Brotherhood as "Magnetrix". She was half-mutant, after all, and her father's goals seemed noble to her. However, his methods weren't, as he wasn't above assassination, intimidation or terrorism to reach his goals. Zatanna didn't approve of that, so she left the Brotherhood. She's still in good terms with her father, but she refuses to return to his side if he continues to kill and terrorize innocent humans. Since then, Zatanna has been working as a stage magician and illusionist, using her powers to amaze crowds and impress children. She was glad to use her skills to live her life on the good side of the law, and every once in a while she helped people in need or troubled by supernatural threats. Then one day, she answered a call on her cellphone... "Zatanna Maximoff speaking... Yes. Uh huh. Hm?..... what exactly is the Imperium?"

Once that'd be taken care of... he would rebuild Umbrella, no matter what. And with a new Umbrella Corporation... nobody would stop him.

STORY: Dwayne Hopkins is known in town for being one of the best players in the defense line of the football team. He's tall, he's strong, and he's afraid of nothing. He's not the quarterback, but he's often the reason why the quarterback's still in one piece.
Dwayne's popular, and he's a good football player. He's more a jock than a bookworm, and because of that, he's popular. Thing is, he never saw any reason to be proud of that. He's more rational than most jocks, and he knows that once you're out of school, it's the brains that matter the most, not the muscles. So he respects nerds much more than most jocks ever will, and most nerds respect him in return. Dwayne tries to keep that a secret, though, because he's afraid to lose the trust of the other jocks and football teammates.
Deep inside, he's a hero who just hasn't proved himself yet. He's a big fan of detective stories, and he dreams of someday being a cop or something, fighting the good fight and protecting folks. He's a no-nonsense kind of guy, and he believes there's a rational explanation to everything. This, combined with his natural courage, makes him fearless and a bit reckless. Who knows... maybe that could be troublesome in the near future...
