Yea Actors can ruin movies, but what im saying is no matter how good the actor a movie becomes destroyed because of the director & writers. Look at freaken.. *Shutters* Indaina Jones and the Crystal Skull. There was really good acting but the movie sucked! (although I will say this Shylabluff (I dont care about his name) character just looked out of place in that movie.) Star Wars Episode 1 had some good actors and bad actors. Do i think the Bad actors ruined it? HELL NO! George Lucas Ruined Starwars. Star Trek had Great acting in it and the directing/writing wasn't bad. The movie was great! (although the Treky part of me says hiss)

Oh, right, I'm with you there. There are a whole lot of people that can mess up a movie, which is why most movies aren't as good as they could be. Too many things have to come together perfectly.
I disagree about Ep 1 though. The acting was pretty much awful all around in that movie, and that was part of what made it so icky to watch. It was mostly Lucas' complete loss of vision, but the acting hurt too.

Meh i mean I dont really blame the actors too much since you know Lucas was directing and all he did was sit in a chair but again the movie was bad because of Lucas and other reasons.

Are you one of those Star Wars fans who think that if anyone likes Episode 1, 2, and 3 that they aren't true Star Wars fans?

Are you one of those Star Wars fans who think that if anyone likes Episode 1, 2, and 3 that they aren't true Star Wars fans? Me? No, not at all. I liked Episode 3 and I regularly defend Episode 2 as not having been half as bad as people like to claim. Episode 1 was pretty bad, but still not as bad as a lot of people say. However, they definitely weren't up to the standards of the original trilogy, or even close.

They clammed that their new Album didn't suck, it was the record companies fault.

I normally don't have to break it down into a simple form for people to understand, but both the band and the record company equally sucked, but each one was blaming the other. Neither of them did a particularly good job on the CD.

LOL remindes me of the behind the scenes of one of episodes of 1,2, & 3. Were you see George Lucas and the producer and some other people watching the film. All there faces said it was going to suck, but then later Lucas comes out and says its suppose to be bold and extreme.

I can't believe we're even debating this. Has anyone SEEN Episode 1 lately? The acting was awful. There is no way you can possibly claim that people with as much experience as most of those actors had were simply lost because George Lucas wasn't giving them good direction. They all failed, big time.

If you haven't already seen the Red Letter Media Star Wars Reviews, go watch them. The Star Trek and Avatar reviews are great, too. They're sort of a series, beginning with the Star Trek reviews, so if you're picky about order, start there. ~TWF

"Before the release of this movie, I was really excited to hear that Scottish actor Ewan MacDonald was cast as Obi-Wan. I thought what a great fit for the lead of this movie. Except he wasn't, really. He just sat around on the ship and complained a lot."
Also, really enjoying this guys attempts to pronounce protagonist. Reminds me of the Creative Writing teacher I had that kept referring to the "plot arch"
