She was born into a middle class Italian family who were iron clad devout catholics. Her father was a man by the name of Pastor Thomas, who was the leader of the Church of Our Heavenly Father. Her mother, Sally was much like her father an advocate for hardcore catholic ideals as well as a leader of a bashing group who would target many kinds of people from Teenaged mothers, soldiers, abortion activists, gays, mutants, and anything else that was looked as a sin in their eyes. But Roxxy's mother and father had a deep seeded hatred against mutants and homosexuals, so much they hated them more than anyone else they went after. Roxxy was taught to hate these people because they were not the children of god. No, they were the fornicators of the devil and her parents told her from a young age as well as her other siblings that those people are only meant to drag them off the righteous path. Roxxy however never saw the world as her parents did. She did not understand why her parents had hated all these people so much. She did not see how they were bad. And she would often question her parents and their motives. Each time she did Roxxy found the back hand of her father across her face and her mother's famous paddle which she used to discipline the children with across her bottom. As well her own siblings would treat her ill when she would question their parents or the "word" of the lord. Roxxy along with her siblings were home schooled by their mother and were taught basic schoolastic topics such as math, english, and etc. But religion was their primary focus. Roxxy had grown tired of her mother's narrow minded points of view she shared with her father and did not believe that someone who had created all living things would only make these things to punish. Roxxy believed from a young age that every living thing served a purpose, something much greater than just being judged and punished. Her child hood was not the best of ones as much of it was spent listening about the same stories she had always heard. As well as the scars and bruises from the abuse her family gave to her. One day, Roxxy had enough and sneaked out of her house while everyone else was asleep. This was the first time in what seemed to be a lifetime she was leaving the walls of her home. At first she was a bit scared but did as anyone would do and just go with the flow. As she wandered around the city of Manhattan, she found that she was much like Alice in Wonderland. She was in a place full of wonder and dreams. Roxxy continued looking around gazing into the windows of stores and then at the ads all around her. She was in awe. But much like anyone who has never roamed around an area she soon found herself lost in the big apple. And eventually found herself drawn to Central Park and there her life would change forever. As she was walking around she saw a small group of guys surrounding a girl who was screaming for someone to help her. Something inside Roxxy was quick to act and she went to help her. Roxxy did as what she could to help but was overpowered by some of the guys from the group and was beaten upon. During her beating Roxxy's mutant power then manifested. Her skin became as tough as diamond and those who tried to hurt her found themselves hurting their themselves. After the group of guys knocked themselves out by trying to hurt Roxxy, she stood there and fell to the ground. Roxxy awakened in a strange place with bandages on her wounds.Sitting on the bedside was the same girl she had helped from last night. The girl explained to Roxxy what had happened and introduced herself as Michelle. At this time Michelle's father, David walked into the room to check on Roxxy as he was the one who patched her up. He asked if there was someone he could call for her and she simple shook her head. Roxxy could only imagine what her parents were going to do to her once she got home. Michelle offered to at the very least escort Roxxy back to her home, but she refused. Though this did not stop Michelle from following her anyway. As the two girls came to Roxxy's home, there awaited her father with one of the most angered looks he had ever had on his face. He stormed up to Roxxy and without a care for a witness he began to mercilessly beat his daughter! At first Michelle screamed as she did not know what to do, but thankfully for Roxxy her ability had triggered and caused her father to break his hand. He screamed out in pain! Roxxy looked at him as she could not feel anything from his assault on her. He quickly backed away and screamed "Demon Child!" at her. His voice had the other members of his family come out of their house but Michelle grabbed Roxxy by her arm and began to run with her. Roxxy looked back for a moment and realized that after this she could never return. Michelle was able to get them back to her home and told her dad everything that had happened. Mortified over how someone could do that to their own child, David insisted that Roxxy would live with them. At first she was hesitant but realized she had no where else to go and accepted his offer. As the years passed Michelle and Roxxy grew closer and their friendship turned into something more. After a few years Roxxy joined the military but was later kicked out after she was founded a mutant. But was later approached by a man by the name of General Fritz who offered Roxxy a chance to become part of a top secret mutant military branch known as the M.R.R.U (Mutant Rapid Response Bureau). She accepted the offer and became one of the founding members. Not too long after Roxxy proposed to Michelle and the two were married.
