After voicing his agreement to naming Captain America as their leader, Iron Man returned to focusing on sweeping the area for any signs of danger. His sensor systems had not detected trouble so far, but with the villains from the other construct... and now Magneto... all on the loose? He suspected they could not afford to drop their guard. Iron Man activated his boot jets, rising slightly into the air to scout their nearby surroundings with the benefit of his long-range sensors. If he discovered anything of note, he would immediately fly back to inform the others.

(Iron Man is still using his SENSORS to search for any hidden dangers, and will start scouting the area using his FLIGHT jets.)

Sounds like it's settled!

Iron Man gets the warning first, his internal radar tracking an approaching unidentified object. A ship! A ship--shot down!

The blast is like a nuke! Even the distant Magneto hears it.

A large chunk of debris falls only a few miles away!

Wolverine had been silent during the discussion and was glad it was over and that there was some finally some action.

He ran towards the crash not knowing what to expect, so he kept darting his eyes across the landscape, sniffing for any scents and listening for anything unusual.

The Hulk shrugs, grabs the Thing's arm and leaps.

Note: In general, moving does not requiring rolling. Spider-Man, Wolverine and the Thing can all run 3 areas per round. The Hulk has the Leaping power, so he can leap 5 areas per round. However, after Hulk's initial leap, he may try to leap again in the same round, up to twice as far as the first leap. Hulk must simply make a successful Endurance FEAT roll. Toast's roll of 60 succeeds, so Hulk moves 5 areas plus 10 areas in one round (15 total areas). This is why Hulk offered to help Spider-Man and is carrying the Thing with him toward the fallen debris.

"Careful, we don't know what we're heading into. Whatever brought that ship down might turn on us next..."

Despite his words of caution, Iron Man was amongst the first to fly towards the smoldering debris that had fallen from the shot-down craft. He reasoned that his armour made him significantly less vulnerable than many of the other heroes, so if whoever had shot down the ship felt like continuing their attack, at least he might be able to withstand it more than the rest. He kept his radar working, vigilant in case of any more airborne activity while trying to determine what exactly might have shot down the ship. If there were enemies in the area, Rhodey wanted some forewarning.

(Iron Man will use his FLIGHT jets to head to the debris; the profile gives two speeds - one 'normal' and the other his maximum speed - but I'm not sure if there's any downside to going above his normal speed? If there isn't, then he'll fly there as fast as he can to check for nearby dangers with his SENSORS so he can warn the others if they're heading into trouble.)

NOTE: At normal speed or slower, Iron Man can turn without being in danger of crashing. Heroes must also make a flight FEAT roll to perform intricate maneuvers or fight while aloft.

Iron Man and Hulk are among the first to see it's Doctor Doom!

As he quickly meets up Iron Man and Hulk Colossus stops in his tracks.

"This is not good." Colossus says with a sigh and shakes his head. "We have to figure this out, we need to get home"

Iron Man kept a close eye on Doctor Doom, not wanting to take the infamous villain lightly even in his current state. The last any of them had seen of Doom, he had been swatted away alongside Galactus by the Beyonder. How had he survived that, let alone the destruction of whatever ship he had managed to get his hands on in the meantime? In Rhodey's mind, the fact that Doom had obtained a ship from somewhere meant there had to be other resources on this cobbled-together planet. Maybe there was something that could even get them home safely?

"What happened to you, Doom? If you expect us to help you, you'll need to start talking. Where did you get that ship? Who shot you down?"

Even as he tried to get some answers out of Doom, Iron Man was careful to keep his radar working. Whatever had shot down Doom's craft might attempt to finish the job, and might not be averse to firing at any of the heroes if they happened to be in the way. Rhodey wanted a head's up in case they were in danger, even as he kept his repulsor rays at the ready to blast Doom if the treacherous villain made any aggressive moves.
