Christopher
You settle at your desk, reactivating the circle and focus on the captains room. There appears however to be very little to see, the desk, filing cabinet, and computer are all department issue. The small shelf of books, appear to be ornamental. There is a disc drive next to the computer, for some reason not plugged in. It sticks out as it is clearly not department issue and is high tech as it appears to have some sort of scanning device attached, probably as security. The only thing that is really worthy of note is the safe in the wall of the office, again department issue. There are very faint magical emanations coming from the safe.
Mildred
You watch Christopher as he works, thinking about his words. Having been a cop for a couple of years you can't help but wonder at what he said.
Was this an ongoing investigation? The Captain gave you the job of dealing with an entity in the basement. You can't bring criminal charges against a supernatural entity because the law doesn't recognise their existence. Hell if it did, it might recognise vampires and their feeding habits. Every vampire has skeletons in their closet, often quite literally, which is why they keep a low profile. No one wants the mortal and supernatural world colliding. Torches, pitch forks and angry mobs lie in that direction, which goes for witches, every bit as much as vampires, were-wolves, fairies and the like.
Something doesn't make sense here and more over if the Captain had something to hide, why would she tell you to investigate?
Every cop in Gotham knows there are crooked cops about, and most judges won't touch the topic with a ten meter cattle prod. Far to many of the judiciary and their families have died at the hands of assassins for getting involved in the wrong thing. This has changed a lot in recent years, Batman and Commissioner Gordon have turned the force mostly honest but Commissioner Gordon chose Captain Dyre to head this unit. That means he trusts her, so going down the lines of police corruption isn't something anyone is going to do casually or lightly.
Cerberus
She is trapped, and she knows she is, she believes she is dealing with a psychic parasite, you know different. The Fey don't do psychic, they do magical and whilst she may be able to hold this thing off for a while, ultimately you can only fight magic, with magic. She'll fair better than Mr Hernandez did of course, he lasted only minutes, she has a few hours at best.
Your powers might be able to slow this thing down, buy her some time, but what she really needs is someone with experience with summoning.
Jade
You reach out with your mental powers, telekinesis however is a thing of the physical world, not the mental one. The entity doesn't seem to be in any hurry however, it just seems to be interested in stopping you working, and stopped you it has.
Getting any deeper into Phillipe's mind will be impossible with this thing attached to you and even as you work to detach it, more tendrils wrap around you. It hasn't gotten to your mind yet, but it is certainly preventing you from getting back to it as well.

"Hell no. No paperwork, no calls, no traces" Mildred blurted, surprised. If she was to barge in their captain's office, it was as they did all their job, in the shelter of the night and without no one to answer to... well, except the captain herself. It was a bit odd, as Mildred didn't feel entirely on board with the idea. On one hand it was odd of Dyre to send them if she was involved... but on the other hand, it may as well be a test? Daring them to see how far they were getting? For a moment she wondered if they should share information with the other two... they may as well have pieces of the puzzle that Christopher and her didn't even know they existed.
Mildred hummed, her feet tapping while she stood just outside Dyre's office. Maybe it was just personal curiosity. Who was Jocelyn Dyre? The feeling of having her hovering around certain moments of her life, certain places she frequented... it made Mildred prone to paranoia, but she didn't feel quite threatened, at least not yet. What was it, then? Fascination for the mystery? Infatuation over her mysterious self? Maybe it was just that this special task force and everything that surrounded it was the first interesting thing that happened to her in... months, maybe years. Being freshly fed should help her think with more clarity, drive the pangs of hunger away from logic mind, but also gave her an energy that had no outlet with her being idle.
Old ones... Native shamans... Police station, hospital, church. It seemed that no one knew exactly what was down there and tried to wrap it with what they knew, giving it a shape they could understand. The Devil, an illness, a disgruntled spirit, a crime.
"The only one we didn't talk to is the one trapped below us" Mildred said, half joking. Half only. "We can reconvene with our teammates, we can try to find the captain, or we can just head to the basement and have a chat with it" she shrugged. Maybe the academic Christopher had a new angle to the problem. For Mildred, Gotham and the supernatural was something that happened to her, not exactly an object of study, so her approach tended to be terribly mundane, oddly casual.

Cerberus
Cerberus knew this fey was trapping his new colleague. He sighed, this wasn't exactly going well. He turned to the doctor.
-Keep watch...Now I know exactly what is going on here...I need to make a call...are phones working in this area?-
He ask as he took out his phone. He could slow it down, but he needed someone else to help out too. He didn't knew everyone else powers or what made them so special, but maybe they knew some references. And so he called on to the other team, after making sure he could call them alright.

Good let me know then, currently the only thing magical is locked in a safe and that disc drive looks suspicious however we wont be able to access that without breaking into its security. As for the rest of it I have a few idea's as to how we might be able to confront our guest downstairs, honestly, I want to run it by someone who is probably in Arkham now. But we can also always go to my library.... damn phones hold on... Bradley
Christopher is already thinking of ways to crack the safe and disc drive and looking up the file on Pamela Isley when his phone rings he answers it in his best; smiling bumbling goofy idiot voice, the smile and vacant eyes are even in place.

Cerberus
-Hello Christopher? Glad I could join you, it's Cerberus...I've found out what is our problem...and right now it's trying to trap Jade's mind as well...you wouldn't happen to know a good summoner who can deal with Fae? I can keep her safe for maybe a few hours so time is running short...were at the Arkham asyleum...-
He tell Christopher quickly, he didn't had time to explain everything right now. Jade's safety came first.

I will try to figure something out at worst you will get me.
Bradley disconnects the line and turns toward Mildred
Whatever it is you want to do it can wait, Jade is being attacked by some sort of possessing fae. Cerberus wants us to bring someone who knows how to get it off her, you got anyone who owes you any favors? Oh, and we will be using some tech in the car but your reflexes are faster than mine do you prefer to continue driving?
Christopher shuts down his search and gathers his things, it does not matter anymore if she is currently in residence he is going there anyway and can simply ask. He realizes the night is going to finish before he can consult his books and if this thing is going to start attacking people outright then it needs to be dealt with now.

Christopher
You pack up and head for the car. Arkham asylum seems to be a popular stop this evening but in this city maybe that shouldn't be a surprise.
Gotham was named after a British village famed for scaring tax collectors away with rumours of infectious insanity. Maybe the rumours were true.
Mildred
Of the people who owe you favours, there are no summoners on the list.
As you understand it summoners are a rare breed. Calling things from other dimensions is dangerous. Novices are either good or eaten. Summoned creatures are usually powerful and at best uncooperative. If there are any summoners in Gotham city they would be laying low for fear of being shot on sight rather than risk them screwing up and summoning some unholy horror.
There was a rumour of a man named John Constantine being seen in Gotham, but he is reputed to be more of a con-artist than a magician. Wild rumours about his summoning prowess would have people believe he has summoned Satan himself and got away with it. But then what would a con artist have you believe and how would you find him?
If the captain does keep an eye on super natural undesirables in the city, she might know where he is, as might someone at 'Grandfathers'.
Beyond that you are on your own.
Cerberus
The doctor looks as though she is about to demand an explanation but then thinks better of it. Instead she just nods and let's you get on with what you are doing.
Phone reception appears to be fairly crappy here but you manage to get through to Christopher.
The call ends with a promise of help being on its way. Now you have the task of helping Jade until it does.

Cerberus
Cerberus returned to Jade once the call was made, he was glad he could make it trough to Christopher and that help was on the way. He had no idea on how he could help, but hopefully, Cerberus could do something to slow the fae down long enough for them to arrive. Returning to the doctor, he informed her of the situation.
-Two of my colleagues are on their way, Christopher and Mildred...if you could let them in, that would be a great help.-
He said, and now, he had to help Jade out. He touched her on the forehead with his fingers, making sure not to get his own mind wrapped up by the fae inside. He concentrated on his own power in order to attract the fae attention to himself, but keep himself on defense. So he could leave Jade alone long enough for Christopher and Mildred to come by.
------------------------------------------ 3 in fae magic to attract the fae attention. shifted to defense.
5 in intelligence to resist any attempt from the fae against him while baiting him away from Jade. + 3 mental defense, +3 magic defense.

Going back to Grandfather's would be strange, and Mildred didn't want to lose what little reputation of being smooth and on control she had. Not wanting to be seen as desperate, Mildred made her choice. "Drive yourself, you will be able to handle Arkham alone, right?" she asked with a smile. "I have someone to find. Someones, as I'm itching for a talk with the captain as well" the smile went from playful to sly. "Maybe I can find someone useful, and if not at least I'll be able to ask a couple questions to the boss" Mildred shrugged. Letting Christopher do his thing, she remembered that she didn't know where Dyre was nor had she a way to find her. Wait, or perhaps she did have one. Christopher had just been talking through one of those pervasive phones that everyone carried and if the captain wasn't as technologically challenged as her, she would be carrying one as well. Now, about how to reach her phone, Mildred had no idea, so it was better to resort to a fellow agent.
Going to the front desk, Mildred leaned on it, tilting her head and facing the agent in charge. "Good night officer..." she looked the uniform for a name plate. "I need to reach captain Dyre and she's not at her desk" she explained. "Can you do me a favor and make a small call? Tell her that detective Buckley wants to have a talk as soon as possible" Mildred said, putting on her best smile. "You can call me Mildred, though" she added.

He watches Mildred walk off and realizes if she needs to get ahold of him or needs to get somewhere fast she does not have the ability to do so... Pay phones are a thing of the past and most shops are closed at night.... He pulls out his cell phone and dials his personal assistant.
I want you to drop off the A8 to the prescient we discussed I would be working. You are to give the keys to Detective Mildred Buckley as well as a Cell phone with my number. Put in on speed dial one show her exactly what she must do to call me as well as make sure she knows how to answer the phone. Move quickly she is a busy lady with places to be.
He walks up to Detective Buckley waiting for an officer to use a phone for her his suspicions confirmed.
Mildred before you leave I have a surprise coming for you, you will likely hate it but still please wait.
He then walks off. Muttering a spell under his breath as he activates the lights and sirens as well as GPS and turns on the auto-drive feature and increasing the minimum and maximum speeds to those allowed by emergency services.

Jade looked towards the tendrils crawling up her body she tried to figure out what to do. Her telekinetic power was useless in this world but she had to figure out something, she had to figure out something to get this beast off her and give her a chance to escape from this hell-scape. "What are you? Why are you in this man's mind?" Jade called out towards the beast, her voice echoing withing the psyche. As she tried to draw the attention of the beast with her words, gambling that it understood her words and that it would respond. While she awaited, Jade looked for something to use to help herself out of the situation, maybe a way to escape just the tendrils or maybe something she could use to distract the beast. ------ WS: 4/4 Rs: 11/15 --------

Christopher
Luck spells, they're great, most of the time, assuming you are willing to give yourself to the will of the universe and roll with the punches it is going to throw at you.
The thing about the universe is that it sometimes gives you what you want, other times it gives you what you need. The two are not always mutually inclusive.
In this case apparently as you go screaming out of the precinct exit ramp you need to find yourself swerving to avoid a pedestrian. Crossing the intersection of the sidewalk and the exit ramp the man is dressed in a cheap looking suit and a crumpled trench coat he had a mobile phone pressed to his ear so barely had time to acknowledge your presence before you clip him knocking him off his feet and with that your engine cuts out.
You are out of the car before you have time to think about it, but as you reach him he looks you up and down and with a odd look on his face he says.
"You're going to Arkham asylum, right?"
Mildred
You speak with the Captain, and she promises to meet you at the precinct. She will also be sending help to Jade.
(OOC - If you want to post the conversation please feel free, regrettably I'm a bit pushed for time a.t.m)
Cerberus
The creature, whatever it is seems to be ignoring you as you pour energy into Jade, willing it into some sort of defence. Without a way to see what is going on you won't know how successful you are being but nothing you are doing will hurt.
Jade
You open your senses to the entity trying to communicate, in this place it's the only way to talk. What you get back is strange. Something in this place should be intelligent, it's practically a requirement, but all you get back from it is hunger, and fear. It is afraid.
You feel it drag you down into Philipe's mind where his mind is still shattered and it's fear abates a little, as does its hunger.
Then something even stranger happens, you feel an infusion of something flow through you, and then around you are more of... Well... you. Like an illusion of some sort something or someone is creating more versions of you and the creature reacts, flailing at the illusions of you. A few of the tendrils detach from you. Not enough to free you, but enough to make it less uncomfortable.

I am, something tells me you are coming with me as my car engine failed at exactly the right time to bring you along... I take it something stopped you from hearing the siren and moving out of the way as well? Sorry about that, but likely a lucky encounter, are you coming?
Christopher moves back to the car gets in and does the same set up making a mental note to get the scuff marks on the car repainted when he gets home. Once the man gets in he continues to drive with the same set up as he originally intended.
So please tell me your name and a bit about yourself.
******** 1 Witchcraft to continue the duration
1 Vehicle operation to get the car moving toward Arkham again.

The Phone Call: The desk Seargeant, (Hooper was the name the Captain gave you) looks up and nods, picks up his phone and punches in a number. Apparently where ever the captain is she does have access to a phone.
"Captain, yea it's Hooper, I got Buckley here, says she needs to talk."
There is a pause then he waves the phone receiver in your direction, you put it to your ear and you hear the Captains voice.
"What's the problem Buckley?"
In the background you can hear the noises of the city. Clearly where ever she is, is outside.
Mildred handled the working phone as a snake charmer would deal with an angry cobra, seemingly expecting the gadget to do all kinds of unexpected things. She sent a wordless 'Thank you' in Hooper's direction before addressing the captain, noticing the city sounds in the background. "The kind that makes me consider using such a contraption and at the same time not one that I would feel comfortable talking through it, but I'll make lemonade I guess" she whined. "Can't get over certain feeling of you-" Mildred turned around, facing away from Hooper and lowering her voice to a whisper. "-hiding things from me. Important things. Relevant things" she insisted twice. "But that is kind of secondary, the case is snowballing and I'm looking for a certain someone" she added, her tone back higher.
"I don't know if he will be able to help, but as I said, I'm making do with what I have" she shrugged for the benefit of her and herself only. "I'm looking for a man named John Constantine, a summoner of sorts" she paused. "I'm not personally acquainted to him, nor do I know where to find him" Mildred explained, cringing a bit, not liking to be asking her superior for help, but she felt like her secrecy kind of allowed for it. "And since you seem to know everyone..." she blurted.
"Well, you're welcome to discuss these things with me in person. I'm just finishing up here so I can meet you shortly. Mr Constantine is currently looking into something for me, so I can reach him if you need. What do you need him for?" She asks her tone sounding relaxed.
There was no way it was a coincidence. Mildred had survived all those years thanks to holding back her hunger and not being a murderous monster, but she didn't always be that nice, and those were the times when an extra heap of paranoia helped to keep being alive. Or undead, whatever. "I'm afraid that agent Rodríguez is in the middle of a particularly nasty encounter with the wylde fae on our basement, if that's what it is" Mildred commented. "If I talked to them perhaps I could find the circumstances of what happened and find a loophole, an open door for a solution, but with Rodríguez caught in the middle..." she took pause. "Maybe we can hedge our bets and have a summoner at hand, if that's what mister Constantine is" she added, wondering if the captain would divulge anything more of her deal with yet another player of the supernatural.
There is a pause then she replies
"So, let me get this straight, Rodreguez went down into the basement before you'd worked out what is down there and how to deal with it?"
"I don't know the exact circumstances captain" Mildred said, not wanting to throw a partner under the bus, as some people said this age, "but I'm sure she had plenty of good reasons and will be eager to talk about them once we save her posteriors" Mildred winced, hoping that they managed to help Rodríguez. Losing one partner on the first night of job would be quite awful, even if Mildred barely knew her. "When can I expect you to arrive? Will you bring Constantine with you?" she asked, feigning urgency in her voice with ease, trying to distract the captain back to the issue itself.
"Fine, Rodreguez is at the precinct I assume? If so I can be there in about ten minutes. I'll ask Mr Constantine to join us as soon as he can."
"She didn't actually go in the basement, or at least not that I'm aware of. It seems a Fae got her in Arkham of all places. If it's the same trouble we have on the basement extending its tendrils or something else, your guess is as good as mine" Mildred shrugged. The half heard phone conversation and hasty preparations had made her not entirely aware of what was going on with the other detective couple. "We could meet there, but Christopher said he had something coming, so I'm waiting right now" Mildred added.
"OK, I'll have Mr Constantine head for Arkham, I'll meet you at the precinct and we'll work from there."
Mildred returned the phone to Hooper, fidgeting around and walking in circles until the captain or Christopher's surprise arrived, whatever came first.

Cerberus
There wasn't much he could do by himself at the moment and he had no way of knowing if it was effective or not, but it was better then doing nothing, and so he kept send in energy to try protecting her mind agains the fae intruder. Whatever that entity was doing, it had to let go.
-My colleagues should be on there way, please let them in when they arrive...-
He says to the doctor.
