Not to leave you in suspense, Johnny's roll was good enough to tell that he's looking at a standard DOCTOR DOOM robot that has been rewired. But whether or not it's set to explode is beyond him. This examination gives the Thing enough time to get his bearings after the fall.

He waits till Reed finishes examining the robot before suggesting he flies around the Baxter Building to make sure this robot was acting on it's own.

Mr. Fantastic brings his elastic body down to stand next to the Human Torch and Thing on the Fourth Level to closely examine the robot duplicate of DOCTOR DOOM. He finds that the wiring, while expertly done, is more primitive than the original design, and has robbed the robot of its speech and higher mental functions. The robot's inherent repair facility is attacking the rewiring like a human body attacking a disease. This is a clear sign that the robot is not set to self-destruct.
The room the heroes are in has no windows, but the Human Torch could fly back up through the hole in the ceiling and then out the hangar doors if he wishes to circle the perimeter of the Baxter Building.

"FLAME ON!" he yells and takes to the air, through the ceiling and heads out to check the exterior of the building is secure.
OOC May take a few minutes I guess. Flight to have a good look round outside.

The Thing's stomping crushes the DOOMBOT's remarkable armor like a soda can. It seems odd to Mr. Fantastic that this DOOMBOT should appear now, because Dr. Doom was stranded on the Beyonder's Battleworld at the conclusion of the recent Secret Wars. * This DOOM robot appears to have originally been built in Latveria, but then rebuilt at a more primitive level. The Human Torch flies outside and can make an Intuition FEAT roll to look around. * Secret Wars 12 - "...Nothing To Fear..." |
