Invisible Girl and the ThingThe spaceship launches into the air, but it's ascent is stopped by Sue's Invisible Force shield that keeps it low enough for the Thing to punch a hole through it's body! Three skrulls now fire down at the Thing! One of the skrulls is noticeably taller, has an eyepatch and a bigger gun. At the moment they are out of melee range from the Thing. Skrull Soldier #1: hQUuPoqL1-100Skrull Soldier #2: 1-100Skrull Captain: 1-100The Invisible Girl can tell that she is slowing the ascent of the ship, but its engines are too strong for her to stop it completely. Mister Fantastic and the Human TorchWhile Johnny keeps guard over the prone android, Reed discovers that the skrulls used a portable generator to power the time machine and sent themselves not only five minutes into the past but to the fifth level of the Baxter building! The Super Adaptoid doesn't budge, but to be on the safe side, he should be returned to his stasis chamber. 1-100�1-100�1-100

The large skrull is the only one to hit the Thing, but it's a doozy! "I think we REALLY need to chat about security and where you leave your stuff Reed. In the meantime let's get... drag... uhhh... this guy back to where he's safe and go find the others. I don't doubt they had the boring straw drawn and Ben has his feet up watching the game." said Johnny. "We need to find out what the heck those Skrulls are doing... did... will do... five minutes into the past! Maybe that's when they released this guy, and we have to beat him again?" groaned Johnny, not sure if he could summon up as accurate a blast as he applied twice in one lifetime.
ACTIONS
Help Reed drag the Adaptoid back to its holding cell and then see what Reed wants to do - go find the others or go down to the 5th level and find out what the Skrulls are doing. Did. Will do.

Sue tries to tug the force field (with the shuttle and Ben) behind the central pillar of the hangar area- that way even if it breaks free, it'll have to maneuver around it and take up more time getting to the exit.

Mister Fantastic and the Human TorchAs Reed and Johnny carry the Super Adaptoid up to the Fourth Level of the Fantastic Four's Headquarters in the Baxter Building, they discover that the walls are marked by blaster burns and large patches of glue. Then a familiar voice calls attention to himself, "Excuse me, Professor Richards. Unauthorized parties have entered the building." HUBERT, the small mobile extension of the security systems, is stuck to the ceiling above the stairway entrance, pinned by an anti-gravity disk. Invisible Girl and the ThingThe Thing hits the big skrull, but misses his head. Karma is just not with him today. (-10 only because he needed 39 more to score a bullseye.) Then a voice calls out from behind the Invisible Girl, "Captain Sk'yll! Don't leave us!" It's Sally Flack and she's carrying a stunned skrull. "Sorry, this mission is too important," Sk'yll answers. "Get us out of here," he orders to someone inside the ship and moves away from the opening torn into the hull by the Thing. Johnny flames on and flies to Huberts rescue, flying close and applying unearthly heat to the disc careful not to damage the robot. "I'll free you in a jiffy Hubert, hold on!" says the fiery hero...

Not one to be deterred, Sue decides to ascend to the broken roof on a column of force- either to get a potshot off at the shuttle, or at least see which direction it's headed.
Hoping that their diabolical "mission" can still be thwarted.

Mister Fantastic and the Human TorchThe anti-gravity disk on HUBERT adheres to him with a monstrously strong paste, but with the Human Torch's unearthly ability to generate and control fire, he's able to get it off the little robot. HUBERT then tells Mister Fantastic that the building has been invaded by Skrulls, the WIZARD, and the TRAPSTER. However, they don't all seem to be working together. After pinning HUBERT to the ceiling, the WIZARD and TRAPSTER fought their way past a group of Skrulls and the freed Super-Adaptoid, before heading toward the Negative Zone area on this level. Invisible Girl and the ThingThe Thing convinces Sally to talk, "What's going on, is the rescue of the royal family, before Throneworld's destruction by Galactus *, using the time machine technology once used against Skrulls! **" Meanwhile, the Invisible Girl creates a column of force beneath herself to "fly" after the Skrull ship. she sees it head toward the upper atmosphere, but then slow down to hover in the sky. * FF #257

OOC Apologies for delay. Very stressful week last week!
"Reed. We got Skrulls, the Trapster n the Wizard, Super Adaptoid... all that stuff with the maze n all that which was clearly designed to slow us down or delay us. We gotta get on top of this! If we're going to the Negative Zone there's every chance we'll run into something mean and nasty. That means we'll need Ben and Sue. If we charge off after the Wizard and don't let the others know what's going on...We could be lost forever!"

Ben just looks at the woman. "And you couldn't try asking our for help first?" Ben asks very angry that they had to trash the place and start a fight when the whole thing could have just been talked out.
