"And what would you have us do place of such a device? How do you suggest we defeat Kang, and avert this threat without such a weapon?" He asks. "If you insist we return without the weapon, surely you can provide an alternative means of meeting our goal, or at least give us some instructions on what to do." He asked. "Between you, Kang, and Immortus, I would be more trusting of your word over theirs."

 Starfox frowns. He wasn't the sharpest tack in the box but it seemed odd to him that Galactus should not be out in space somewhere, seeking to feed his eternal hunger. They'd been played once, might it be happening again? ACTIONS
Two things then. First a Reason FEAT to think of anything that Galactus might stand to gain from being sat wherever we are and whether this is the real deal or a fake. We've been fooled before ...

Next an Intuition FEAT to see if there is anything amiss. in the appearance, mannerisms, size, details... if this is a replica or robot, hologram etc, it might be possible to spot something.

No guesses on what turns up and not using karma. I expect we'll need it but maybe some of the smarter members can do the same. I guess that means Vision.

Monica stands there warily... waiting for an opportunity to either attack or converse with the world-devourer (although the importance/reverence that Vision and Starfox are showing him are making her more than a little worried)

Galactus responds to the Vision. "Always lesser beings than mighty Galactus have foiled the plans of Kang the Conqueror. Yet, you say the fate of all existence lies in your success, and wish to risk your lives by entering the Eternal Fortress on a fools errand. I may yet let you pass, but if you do emerge from the fortress with the chronotron... you must return it once your mission is complete. Betray Galactus on this, and your entire planet is forfeit!"
Starfox knows that Galactus is even more eternal than the Eternals. It's therefore not completely out of place for him to be somewhere like the Omega dimension. But where's Nova? Starfox heard she's pretty hot. While looking around he finds that he can translate the markings on the walls and ceiling, even though they are not in a language that he's ever studied.
Captain Marvel notes that Galactus hasn't left his throne.

Still unsure as to whether he can trust his senses, the Eternal has no choice but to go along with the seated giant. If it WAS Galactus, nothing he could do would hurt him. He wondered even if the Vision with his incredible abilities might have a chance of affecting Galan of Taa. He feared for Captain Marvel though. Galactus could absorb energy on a scale that destroyed planets. After hearing the Vision speak he assumed they would not have to test any theories, so he looked at the hieroglyphs on the wall, hoping to make sense of them. ACTIONS
What do the markings on the wall say? Anything of note/interest?

Having fought Galactus during the Secret Wars, Monica feels a chill run up her spine at his proclamation. She thought at first that maybe this wasn't the genuine article (since why would Galactus be here instead of consuming other worlds), but if what Immortus said about all life in this time being extinguished is true, then who can be sure?
Returning to flesh form, Monica walks over to Vision and Starfox, her eyes occasionally darting back to the World Devourer nervously.
"Chairman? I motion that Starfox and I should rest for a little bit. We still haven't recovered from the beating we got from the Gargoyle, and if what Galactus says about it being a suicide mission is true... then I think the two of us should be prepared."

Vision must choose which of the three doors he wishes to lead his team through. This gives Starfox time to read the markings on the walls and ceiling with the translator. Except for Galactus's throne that resembles a demolished planet, Captain Marvel does not see any other place for someone to sit and rest. Yet I feel we are better suited to stay together and face this as AVENGERS rather than alone and divided. The first door, then, to our right?" ACTIONS

The first door to the right of the rotunda's entrance appears to be made of hardened steel. A button along the side opens the door. This empty room is paneled in gleaming metal. The surfaces are etched with geometric patterns, mostly circles. seeing what appears to be a door further inside the room Vision makes his way over to it taking care not to step on any of the circles. "Wait here for now there might be a trap." He orders his team.
