Vision drops and grabs onto one of the tentacles, but fails to pull it completely out of its mooring. (The tentacle is partially held by Vision and has a -2 CS) The python-like cable is still trying to grab onto the synthezoid, as well as one other, but the Vision remain free for now.
Starfox fails to break himself free. Fortunately, Captain Marvel has come to help and has shocked one of the tentacles, limiting its effectiveness (by -4 CS). However one of the three tentacles reaching for Starfox gets a full hold on the Eternal and threatens to squeeze the life out Starfox, unless one of the other avengers acts fast!

Starfox Karma: 64

Sensing a do-or-die moment for her comrade, Captain Marvel drops out of her radio form. Seeking the destruction of the malevolent tentacle, she focuses her radical energies through her pressed-together-palms.
(NOTE: Spending Karma on this encounter to get a hit or bullseye -whichever is needed- on the tentacle that's about to strangle Starfox)

Vision struggles to use his energy beam on the tentacle in his grasp, but instead both the mechanical arms start wrapping around him. (Vision has two partial holds on him and is at -4 CS on all FEATS.)
Starfox makes a last ditch effort to free himself (spending 46 Karma points) and then gets out of the way as Captain Marvel destroys an arm with her electro magnetic energy blast.
Now three more arms sprout from the walls! One of the new arms manages to get a partial hold on Captain Marvel! (-2 CS on all FEATs)
Starfox does not get fully away either, as not one of the two remaining arms from the three attacking him has taken a partial hold on the Eternal as well. (-2 CS on all FEATs)
Captain Marvel Health: 20/60

Conditions: Human form in Partial hold (-2 CS on all FEATs). Being attacked by three arms.

OOC Slowly getting back up to speed. Even now I'm rushing about because I have to go to the Doctors (again) for more blood tests (again). Apologies for any delays I may cause - just assume Starfox is trying to escape and keep at it!Considering using his flying power to see the limits of the tentacles reach, Starfox forgets the idea - surely they can reach any point in this box, therefore he is limited by the room they are in and the tentacles are not! Relying on his Strength again, he grunts "We cannot let these... machines... defeat us Avengers! Make a titanic effort!" ACTIONS

Vison for his part returns to intangibility and makes his way for the exit. "Very well. Captain Marvel, we must damage the arms holding Starfox. to help him escape.
Dropping to Sh-0 density.
Making by way towards the exit to the room.

Captain Marvel escapes from the arms' hold by turning herself into radiowaves. There is a metal door to the northeast with a button along the side of it. Starfox tries to escape but fails to break free! [He needed a 71 and didn't have enough Karma to succeed.] Vision goes intangible, freeing himself as he moves toward the exit, but this leaves Starfox behind with seven mechanical arms!
