As the entranced mob batters at the door, steel detention coils enslare the first arrivals-- -- and those who follow find themselves trapped in a titanium-web net. Still, the living tide rushes on! [glow=black,2,300] KRASH![/glow] Smashing their way into the foyer, the first wave is rendered unconscious by automatically activated stunulator beams. Even that line of defense soon falls to tooth and claw, for the intruders are accompanied by a writhing carpet of grey vermin! The army of the night surges ahead! That Avengers Mansion might fall to rabble such as this... it is unthinkable! Well, they shall not pass Edwin Jarvis without a fight! Or shall they? Captain Marvel finds the Avenger's butler just in time, before he can rush head on into an approaching swarm of aggressors... and most likely to his own death! Captain Marvel's Health 3/3

Meanwhile, Doctor Strange takes Hannibal King high above the mansion, as fast as possible, under the awesome power of Strange's Cloak of Levitation.
"There must be hundreds of them," says the Master of the Mystic Arts in reference to the vampiric minions below, "and there does not seem to be a single Avenger present!"
"It is up to us to stop them!"

Making her presence known to Jarvis," I'm here Jarvis," Captain marvel exclaimed," Get down to the lower levels and seal off the Classified Sections from the rest of the Mansion!" Captain Marvel faced the mass of zombified intruders," I will wait on our guests." Yeesh! Last time I saw faces like these, they were on Mardi Gras masks. Captain Marvel puts on her brightest smile," So.. um... Welcome to Avengers Mansion. What can I get for you," Captain Marvel jests as the mob keeps coming," Yeesh! there's just no reasoning with you guys, is there." With that said Captain Marvel unleashes a burst of explosive energy( anything preferably with a Area attack for this first round) at the goons before her in hopes of helping Jarvis along with his get away.

Maybe you can get rid of some of the mob with that Eye of Majigger you've got, meanwhile, I'll go mist-form and get inside the mansion to see if there are any defenders present at all!
As much as King hated transforming into mist, if there were any Avengers inside, they needed to know what they were up against. And if there were none, perhaps King could activate the Mansion's built-in defenses... certainly the Avengers headquarters wasn't without security devices?

"Oh... Captain Marvel!" Jarvis agrees that the lady Avenger is a little better qualified to handle this, and he heads for the elevator.
As the mob rushes forward, Captain Marvel stands her ground! Thrusting her palms out before her, she releases a small amount of her body's awesome energies...
[glow=black,2,300]CHOOM[/glow]...too small an amount. The mesmerized masses are upon her!
[OOC: 2 stones Mastery of Energy spent for a 10' diameter area in front of Captain Marvel, leaving only 1 stone for effect.]

"Wheel of Bromagdon-- Power of the Sage-- Entrance now this rabble and silence their rage!"
Hannibal can barely make out the end of Doctor Strange's spell, as he transforms into mist. He can however hear one green robed cultist respond over the cacophony on the front lawn... and witness that he speaks true.
"You cannot halt the army of the night, sorceror! Their minds have been captured by the master of us all!"
The men are so mesmerized as to be practically mindless! Doctor Strange shall have to try a different tack. While Hannibal has drifted too far in the fog to know it, Doctor Strange does take the vampire's advice and reaches for the Eye of Agamotto!
When Hannibal approaches the front entrance of the mansion, he spies that the Avengers do have defenses, but the sheer volume of this onslaught allowed both man and beast to break through even them!
[OOC: It takes a full Panel to use Transform Self, but this post reflects more than one game Panel. I'll do that sometimes, when it makes good sense to be flexible.]
Hannibal King has full Health and Energy in mist form.

A late-model car suddenly executes a sharp u-turn in the middle of a fog-enshrouded fifth avenue and screechs to a halt outside the mansion gates.
The Scarlet Witch has arrived!
The fog is so thick, Wanda can't see more than a few feet in front of her, but from the sound of things in there--
--the mansion must be under siege!
[OOC: This is a case where the players last post went further than can be done without stopping to role-play each panel. That happens sometimes. Sorry.]

The roiling mist that is Hannibal King can't help but feel that the Avengers aren't well prepared for this... yes they're Earths Mightiest Heroes, but vampires are something apart from aliens and would-be despots.
He continues his search for a way in that will deposit him within the Avengers' defenses, so that he can see what kind of forces they have available.

Captain Marvel is engulfed by a mass of mindless bodies clawing and pulling her down. She will surely perish if she doesn't do something fast. She decides it would be best if she changes her form.

Rats, mostly the two legged kind, claw and grab at Captain Marvel until she completes her transformation.
Her electrical form stuns all those in contact with her, but it seems that for every ten of these bums she flattens, twenty more show up as replacements!
[OOC: This was an interesting one. Since there isn't anything on the CAD to give Captain Marvel Energy Touch for free, I'm using 2 stone for the transformation and 1 stone for the damage to anyone foolish enough to touch her. Also, since Captain Marvel's Agility is only a 2, she wasn't quick enough to transform without taking some hits. I'm playing with the simultaneous blows rules for characters with the same initiative. Sorry.]

With the front door busted open, Hannibal King's mist form has no trouble seeping into the mansion. He passes web-nets, detention coils and sabotaged turrets mounted to the ceiling. The only defense left appears to be an electrical barrier of some sort, further down the hallway.
"Hannibal --" That's Doctor Strange's voice in his head. "-- I need a diversion!"
Hannibal King has full Health and Energy and is in mist form.

Captain Marvel was hurt, again! She needs some more training in the art of getting by without getting hit. She concentrates on maintaining her electrical form.

Diversion? P.I.s are supposed to be quick-thinkers I guess... Looking around, Hannibal knew he'd have to revert to his solid form to affect anything anyway, so he had time to think on this one.

Already shocked from his last contact with Captain Marvel, the Avenger channels a burst of electifying energy from her body into the mesmerised man. He writhes in agony and then drops to the floor! But did Captain Marvel over do it? Is the man dead?
Around her other rats and entranced denizens pass by to move further down the hall. They must be stopped, but Monica Rambeau must also know if she is a killer!
[OOC: Electricity, like lightning, does 2X damage.]

Oh no! That might have been to much juice. I have to take these guys down and I don't have the energy to do it one at a time. Captain Marvel looks about at the approaching mob and explodes.
