As Hannibal transforms, he thinks about his surroundings. He's in the foyer, where more denizens of the Darkhold are bursting in through the front door, past rat-gnawed hi-tech defenses. The most distracting thing around are the bursts of electricity in the west side of the Gallery, knocking down the onrushing mob. Hannibal King has full Health and Energy and is in his physical form.

Once the creeps that got past Captain Marvel are dealt with, the Avenger checks on the one she blasted moments ago. He is hurt bad, but still alive. Thank goodness. She then notices an odd sight in the foyer. Beside the next batch of charging maniacs, a swirling cloud of mist solidifies... to form the figure of a man! [OOC: Hannibal is actually wearing a black shirt under his jacket, not a white shirt, but this is the image I found.] Captain Marvel's Health: 2/3 Captain Marvel's Energy: 5/9 [Captain Marvel will turn from electricity to solid form next Panel.]

Captain Marvel arcs toward the solidifying Hannibal King like a lightning bolt. She herself solidifies too, " Are you the cause of all this, Smokey?" She mocks," Call off your goon squad and face me alone, tough-guy!" Captain Marvel talks big, but she's hurt. She's hoping to bide some time and gather up some energy. ======= Health 2/3 Energy 5/9 Action 1: 1 Stone into Flight to reach Hannibal and face just outside of close combat range. "The mansion!" Wanda cried out as she could hear the sounds of battle through the gloom and the mist... Her worst fears took grip of her as she felt a foreboding sensation that this attack was due to the Darkhold.
She quickly charged to try and make her way into the mansion, trying to slow and hinder the progress of the invaders.

Hannibal now recognizes the Avenger before him. He read in the Daily Bugle about this Captain Marvel and some other costumed heroes being responsible for stopping the giant Octodroid that decimated several blocks in New York City. It was Captain Marvel who overloaded the robot's systems long enough for the Thing to smash it's control system. [OOC: The stones in Social Skills and Intelligence bought Hannibal this knowlege.] Captain Marvel notices that the stranger makes no violent moves toward her, but it could be a trick. However, the pair is spotted by the zombie-like crowd who turn toward both of them with violence as their obvious intention! "Strike!" A man in a green robe shouts. "Strike for Dracula!" Reaching deep into her mind, Wanda calls upon her eerie mutant power to generate probability shattering Hex Bolts!
[OOC FYI: To decrease the chaotic nature of the Hex-Spheres, you may spend one Panel of preparation and add 1 extra stone for every stone of effect. However, I'll be kind this time.]
Against all odds, the ground itself churns and turns to soft marsh at the advance of the Scarlet Witch's Hex Bolts! The men are stunned and confused by the change in the ground's solidity, and in that moment, Dr. Strange strikes!
"Mists of Morpheus still this crew," Wanda now sees and hears Doctor Strange! "That what they've wrought not start anew!"
All the men on the mansion lawn now appear to be asleep!

Hannibal King launches himself at the horde, dropping whoever is closest to him. In response, the green robed man fires at him with a bolt of bedevilment! "My staff is for more than mere ceremony, fool! It serves as a focus for the Darholders' ever-growing might!" The robed leader brags. "And before this night is over, it shall be tapping the full power of the Darkhold itself!" [OOC: I changed the words a bit, but I thought you might still appreciate the picture.] "Stuff it, Green!" Captain Marvel shouts, responding with a bolt of electricity. Both heroes narrowly avoid the mesmerized minions, but their sheer numbers threaten to make this increasingly more difficult. King is hurt, but not down, and neither is the creep that shot him. A mist now slowly enters the foyer from outside... and this time it isn't Hannibal! Okay, that hurt. Sometimes being a vampire wasn't all seducing maidens and looking cool in a cape. Incoming trouble in the form of one of his fellow vampires, now, too? Great.
Marvel, I'm going to try to intercept the newcomer, keep after that green robed menace!
************************************************ H: 3 E: 15

Hannibal moves for the mist, but it just spreads out and covers the entire foyer.
Meanwhile, the green robed Darkholder recovers and fires another blast. This time at Captain Marvel!
[glow=black,2,300]SHRAKK![/glow] It strikes her, but for some reason the mystical energies coming from the man's staff are weaker than they were just a moment before. The Darkholder Cultist appears just as surprised.
The mesmerized minions and vile vermin now gather around both Hannibal King and Monica Rambeau to attack with full force. Even Hannibal's combat defense is not enough to avoid injury. But just as Captain Marvel falls, she lets loose one last shot at the green robed man.
"Gotcha!"
The cultist drops his staff and falls to the floor in a heap.
[OOC: Captain Marvel must also decide to either suffer 4 stones of Health Damage, reducing her to 2 red stones or to be knocked unconscious for 8 Panels.
FYI: I am using the standard Agility for Initiative rules so players can gage when they act according to Initiative and can better decide whether an offense Action or Defense stones will be more important in an upcoming Panel.
Note: Defense stones are applied at the start of a Panel but transformations to not occur until the character's turn in Initiative.]
Hannibal then feels the grip of the mob loosen. Looking about him, he sees the strange fog lift and cause the crowd around him to turn lethargic and even become knocked out! However, Hannibal feels no change inside him due to this bizarre mist.
Captain Marvel's Health: (2 Red Stones or 2/3 and KOed for 8 Panels.) Captain Marvel's Energy: 3/9
Hannibal King's Health: 2/5 Hannibal King's Energy: 15/15

<Is that current health of 2 including the 1 I should regenerate this panel?> Hannibal won't regenerate a White stone until next Panel. Here is an example of taking one hit for 3 stones and then just sitting around and waiting. These are the GM posts only. Panel 1: Hannibal sees Thanos robbing a bank. Health: 5/5 Panel 2: Thanos gets mad at Hannibal and blasts him with his Infinity Gauntlet. Health: 2/5 Panel 3: Thanos waves "Bye-bye". Health: 2/5 Panel 4: Hannibal feels bad that Thanos hurt him, but is starting to feel better. Health: 3/5 Panel 5: Hannibal is hungry. Health: 3/5 Panel 6: Hannibal get's looked at strangely when he orders a Big Mac extra raw. Health: 4/5 Panel 7: Hannibal is told that Ronald McDonald is stuck in traffic and is asked if he would please wear the clown costume to entertain the kids. Health: 4/5 Panel 8: Hannibal is banned from ever entering a McDonalds ever again, for responding with such foul language. Health: 5/5 Hannibal is now fully healed. He was hurt in Panel 2 for 3 White stones and healed then all back by Panel 8. So it took 6 Panels to heal 3 white stones. This is the andyman interpretation of healing 1 white stone for every 2 Panels. (No Thanoses or Ronald McDonald clowns were hurt in bringing you this service announcement.)
