Captain Marvel tries to make out the guy before her. Jarvis said Dr Strange came down here so it must be him. Having read his information she knows he's one of the good guys. She turns back to her normal form, " What's up, Doc?"

"NO!!" The stranger shouts bursting open double-thick security doors with his bare hands. Whoever this is, it's definitely not Dr. Strange! Within the room beyond the door is another caped individual sitting Indian-style in mid-air, gesturing toward a floating book, that is quickly fading into nothingness! Captain Marvel's Health: 3/3

Wandas hands immediately snaps for her throat as she is sent back against the stairs, her hands attempting to stave off the blood.
Feeling her energy waning and the pain forcing its way onto her consciousness, she focused as much as she could to attempt to bar the vampires path as much as she could still.

Captain Marvel immediately recognizes the other guy in the room. That's Doctor Strange! not sure what to do Marvel unleashes a blast of concussive energy at the guy opening the doors to try and get his attention," HEY, STOP!"

Trying valiantly to slow her loss of blood, the Scarlet Witch is unable to cast her Hex before Dracula can bust open the door to sub-basement level one. However, her mutant power does cause a freak draft to blow upon the vampire's cape, immediately snagging it on a jutting piece of shrapnel!
She then notices Captain Marvel appear atop the stairwell.

As the lights come back on, Hannibal King begins to stir.
Blood
Before he is even aware of the lights coming back on in the underground hydro-base, his animal-like senses detect the smell of blood, human blood. [OOC: Technically it's mutant blood from Scarlet Witch's throat wound, but Hannibal's keen senses aren't sharp enough to know the difference.]

[Hannibal's groggy and he's near a lot of yummy smelling blood. In his four years as a vampire, Hannibal has never partaken of human blood, but in this condition it's probably more appealing to him than ever before. ]

Feeling spent, Wanda realizes that she can't muster up the strength to launch a good attack against the ancient creature... She lacked the physical strength, now weakened further due to her injured status as she held to her throat.. all she could do was try and build up enough inner resolve to launch another attack.

I assume Marvel knowns of Draculas presence? Captain Marvel knows that there is a baddie there, and some psycho in a green robe shouted "Strike for Dracula" at her earlier (Scarlet Witch doesn't know this happened)... However Monica Rambeau may still have a hard time believing this dude in the goatee is the same guy from Bram Stoker novel. talismanhex already posted for this panel. (See above for her attack.) We'll just wait on WildKnight to post before moving on. |

Stumbling to his feet, Hannibal bore his fangs and growled. Blood... He needed to heal, and he needed to stop Dracula, but first he needed to investigate the blood...
Still growling low in his throat, Hannibal went to seek the source.

Hannibal King snaps his previously broken neck back into place, in order to look for the source of the salty but sweet aroma of blood . It's coming from the neck and clothes of a woman who need not worry about cleaning bloodstains from her costume... The Scarlet Witch!
The fanged vampire detective rises and steps toward the Avenger. This alerts the wounded Wanda to her unfamiliar ally's renewed state of un-death.

Reverse your spell!" Dracula demands. "HEY, STOP!" Captain Marvel shoots a blast of energy at the vampire lord, which he shrugs off as if it was nothing! " What?!" the fanged Transylvanian curses, turning toward his new attacker. "Another one?" Captain Marvel's Health: 3/3

Captain Marvel takes no chances. She remembers those old Fright Night T.V. shows and the Hammer Film Productions with Christopher Lee. Dracula doesn't like crosses. She looks around quickly. No crosses here. Dracula dies when a wooden spike gets stabbed in his heart. No pieces of wood lying around. O.K. Dracula doesn't like sunlight. She realizes they are underground, so... Sunlight! Captain Marvel becomes like a star, bright with visible light and a good amount of ultraviolet light in the mix. Then she flies on a collision course with Dracula.

As soon as he recognized the woman, King shook his head to clear out the cobwebs. He hadn't gone this long without drinking the blood of a live human only to give in now. Instead, he forced himself to concentrate on something else and re-gather his thoughts.

At the sudden sound, she turned her head towards the individual stalking towards her, not certain she understood or was comfortable in the way he looked at her, even as her hand remained at her throat.
However, he had bravely faced off against Dracula in the name of Dr. Strange, so she trusted him, though remained guarded as she glanced back up the stairs. "He is still up there! We must do what we can!" she said, even as she saw a light growing.
Extending her free hand, she focused her attention on the floor at Draculas feet. trying to cause the floor to sink in and collapse just enough to hold his feet, to hold him at Marvels mercy without causing him to fall completely through.

"Return the Darkhold!" Dracula demands, grabbing Doctor Strange by the collar.
"That...," the Master of Mysticism answers weakly, "cannot... be done..."
"I say that it can!" the Lord of Vampires responds. "Looks at me, sorcerer! Look at me!" Dracula's eyes open wide, staring into Dr. Strange's shut eye-lids.
"Don't bother trying to hypnotize me again, Dracula," the Sorcerer Supreme answers. "I am prepared this time... I can resist you..."
Before Dracula can prove the magician wrong, the ground under him caves in, just enough for his to loose his balance. Then he's bombarded by Captain Marvel's rays of light!
"ARRGH!" the vampire howls.
