"This is hardly the time to set up a date!", quips Spider-man to the She-Hulk as he swings above the crowd of lavamen. "I count nearly 100 of these things," he informs the others. "See if you can find anything in our environment to use against them. I'm going on ahead."
Using his web-slinging Spider-man swings ahead of the Lavamen, heading towards the Nuclear Dome. He decides the best he can do for now is attempt to stall them. He spins an enormous web, blocking the passageway between here and the Nuke Dome. "That won't hold them long, but it's the best I can do for now."

-I guess I'm with you, friend... I'm not as good as you guys in a large scale fight, so I guess stalling them is pretty much my best call right now!
Starfox flies next to Spidey, ready to attack any lava men that gets too near. He knows he's probably much less a match for them than his three partners are, but that doesn't mean he ain't going to give his all!
-All right... nobody gets through me!

Used to being outnumbered, Captain America didn't complain, but he had to question the wisdom of splitting their numbers from 25-to-1 down to 50-to-1 against...
Regardless, he knew he had to push on. Slamming his shield into the nearest Lava Man, he tried to make his way across the field of battle.

Captain America and She-Hulk try to punch a hole through the main body of Lava Men as Spider-Man and Starfox use their powers to out-flank them. Fortunately, Lava Men aren't used to seeing men fly or barriers of webbing! It's confusing them! Spider-Man's Health: 4/4

"I've got you covered like a camera's got Marilyn Monroe on a windy day!" Spider-man pauses. "Oh wait, were you talking about the lavamen?" Spider-man keeps to the air, using his natural agility and web-swinging to stay above the fray. He sprays some webbing to reinforce the barrier and keeps an eye out for Starfox below, ready to entangle one of the strange creatures if it gets too close to harming him.

She-Hulk grabs onto one Lava Man, intending to throw one of the creatures at another. She knew how dangerous creatures like that were, after all, Bruce wasn't too much better than this, and she knew she could fall off this slope as well. She hurls one Lava Man into another, hoping to injure both.
"Good thing I didn't do my Jane Fonda tape today, I'm getting enough of a workout as it is."

Starfox comes to ground to slug one of the lava men. His glove is now red hot, but at least that brannigan won't be troubling anyone for a while. However, now that the flying man has stopped buzzing them, the lava men's previous confusion turns to violence! Fortunately, Starfox has the sensational Spider-Man watching his back! She-Hulk's hands light up like a Christmas tree after-wards, but the jade giantess manages to hurl one lava man into another. That aught to stall them, at least. Protected behind his uniquely alloyed shield Captain America avoids making contact with the monster-men, but he still feels the temperature increasing in the tunnel, sending beads of sweat down his masked face. Spider-Man's Health: 4/4
