Colossus leads the way out, his armored form ready for attack. He moves out confidently looking about for any sign of danger. He is silent and stoic, as statuesque as he appears in his metal sheath. He is ready to face anything.

Nightcrawler looks around, ever alert for the presence of problems, alongside the massive Colossus. He felt confident, both in his faith in a just God, but in the X-Men's abilities to fight evil, to save the day.

Storm said as she slowly rose into the air, so she could get a better look from above to see if there was anything worth seeing.

Kitty walks down the Blackbird ramp keeping her eyes open for any thing suspicious stay semi close to Colossus as just being near him seem to make her feel safer. 'Does anyone else think it too quite around here? She asks as she keeps looking around.

Wolverine
Having switched his civilian clothes for his X-Men uniform, Logan got out of the Blackbird last, all his senses in alert and ready for trouble. Whatever awaited them, be it a trap, soldiers, the Brotherhood of Evil and/or Magneto himself, he was always ready for a good scrap.
Listening to Storm's orders for a second, he silently nodded and left on one side, leaving the others to team up if they wanted. If he saw something out of the ordinary, he'd call for backup as Storm ordered... but he didn't need any help for a mere scouting job.

The X-Men didn't need Xavier to remind them that mutant heroes aren't on the best of terms with the U.S. government. After they approach the area using the Blackbird's Shi'ar cloaking device, the team approaches a small cluster of buildings at the heart of the Denning Military Reservation with extreme vigilance.
Wolverine's nose curls when his nostrils fill with a strong stench of bad body odor.
[glow=black,2,300]BANG![/glow]
A shotgun blast sends a mix of salt, rocks and gravel zinging inches above Storm's head.
A crackling, reedy voice shouts out, "That's a warnin' shot! Come any closer and I'll pepper your gov'ment hides! This doo-hicky is mine, and no army types are gonna take it away!"
The sound (and smell) both come from inside an old two-story barracks building.

Nightcrawler recoils back. Whoever this gentleman is, he doubts his appearance will help calm this situation. He adopts a non-threatening posture, and hopes to, if he cannot do help, do no harm. All the while he silently prays to himself: Heavenly Father, protect us now in our hour of need.

(OOC: I like how Wolverine can go all "stealth operative" in a mostly orange suit. ;D Since nothing was said about it, I'm assuming that the guy didn't see me, considering my 4 stones in Black Ops to not be detected. If not, please tell me and I'll correct it.)

Hidden away from sight, Logan was slowly approaching the building, but wouldn't attack unless things went bad. The guy sounded like he was serious about this.
"Government hides"? This guy was incredibly mistaken. Logan guessed from his body odor that he was holed up in that bunker for quite a few days, if not weeks. What was the meaning of this? Making sure he stays quite out of the sight of the gunner judging from the possible areas from where he could have shot, and keeping his eyes on potential defensive systems and surveillance cameras, Wolverine heads towards the bunker, attempting to get to it without being detected. And even if he was... he'd merely draw the gunfire away from Storm, and that was still a good thing.

Rogue saw her teammates just stand there. Even Colossus. Kind'a odd considerin' he was the only one who was truly bullet proof an' all. Well, at least Logan was out here somewhere, doin' his thing. Rogue flies well in front of her teammates, with any luck, blocking the shooters angle of fire on her fellow X-Men. She also hoped that any further attacks would be against her instead of Storm or the others. "We jus' wanna' talk Mister. Ain't that right Storm?"

Through an open window, the X-Men can see a man with a disheveled hat an an unkempt beard pointing a rusty shotgun at them.
"So youse ain't no gov'ment agents, and you jest wanna tawk huh?" The dirty man scratches his whiskers. "Well, old Augie will talk, but whoever yer lookin' for ain't here. I been here a long time and nobody's come to call, till you folks showed up."
Wolverine gets close enough to one of the other windows to look through without being spotted by the hillbilly. The inside of this old barracks is ripped out to make room for a huge, two-story machine that almost fills the building.
