Wolverine picks the shotgun up with his left hand, pops out his right's claws, and slice it into pieces.
-Sorry, bub. That's a grown-up toy and you ain't mature 'nough to play with it.
He retracts his claws again, stares at the man and answers:
-Radioactive, yep. Possibly lethal. Dangerous. Don't get too worried, old boy, we suspect it's only dangerous in the long run... but it still must be dealt with.
He watches him, ready to intervene if the guy didn't got the clue he was outmatched.

Rogue knows she's missing out on all the fun but, sentry duty needs to be done. so she continues her arial scouting, prepared incase Magneto springs some trap. If the team needs her, they'll call.

Kitty looks at Wolverine for a sec and shakes her head at tearing up the Auggie gun. " Like he said it maybe low enough amount right now not to effect you yet. Now please move out of the way mister and I'll try to turn it off. After Auggie moves out from the window kitty climb in slowly, before looking over the machine.

Storm lowered herself to the ground and entered, glad the situation defused itself... though wishing she had been able to do more, but she understood that they were a team, each with their roles to play.
"What can you tell about the machine, Kitty?" She asked as she stepped forward along with the young girl.

Colossus walks over to the man and gets very close," Give me your gun, Comrade. I don't want to see anybody get hurt." Colossus is not being intimidating at all. He's hoping the mere look of him will make the man see the error in his ways. Health 5 Energy 11 Action 1: I put 3 Stones into Colossus' Social Skills to convince Augustus to disarm. Defense: Toughness 7, Magical Defense 9, Energy Defense 4 Health 5 Energy 8 Regenerate 5 FYI: Augie's gun is on the ground. Wolvie knocked it out of his hands using a rock. Sorry about that. For some reason I thought he still had the gun. I changed my post. |

Augustus Hickman appears to finally be convinced that:
1) The X-Men are not government agents;
2) They are not going to hurt him; and
3) His piece of scrap is dangerous and must be deactivated.
Also, of note are these additional three universal truths:
1) Scissors beats paper;
2) Rock beats scissors;
3) Wolverine's claws beat everything (including shotguns).
"Aw, fiddle-poop! That was a gift from me granny!"
Ariel finds that the deactivation controls are in plain sight, but are protected by a series of mechanical locks. In her estimation, deactivating the bomb will take at least 10 minutes.
So far the rest of the Denning Military Reservation is deserted and quiet, at least as far as Rogue and Nightcrawler can tell.

Logan shrugs, obviously not agreeing with his russian friend. As far as he's concerned, one must have a brain to use a gun... and that Augie guy was thinking with his wallet.
-He ain't protectin' his home, he's aiming at innocent people randomly to 'protect' something that ain't his and is dangerous, all in the name of making a few bucks. Guys with guns that don't know how and when to use them don't deserve 'em. You don't agree with that, go buy him a new one while I make sure that fools like him don't shoot passerbys and our friends at the drop of a hat.

Turning away from Colossus since he considers that discussion pointless, Logan walks next to Ariel to have a better look at the controls.
-Let me see that.
He examine the locks to learn two things. First, is it safe to break them with his claws, and second, if it isn't, can he find another way to take care of the locks easily?

The work goes smoothly for the first nine minutes. Then, suddenly, a huge, humanoid shadow falls across the area. A huge robot towers over the building--the Sentinels have arrived! [OOC: The scene looks like the picture above, except that Rogue is up in the sky, already engaged in battle with the sentinel furthest from the old barracks.] Nightcrawler's Health: 3/3

Protecting Augustus Colossus smashes the closest wall, "Hurry! Run!"
