With nothing else seeming to work, Storm immediately began to try and extricate herself from the Sentinels grip, using all her years of training as a young child thief in Cairo to expert use.

Kitty turn to Peter and Kurt "You could of thrown me but I'm still phased." She says kinda depressed As she floats down to land by the Sentinel they manage to stop and starts.

Colossus grabs Nightcrawler and throws him at the Sentinel holding Storm.

Action 1: I put 6 Stones into Colossus' Strength to lift and throw Nightcrawler at the Sentinel who grabbed Storm.
Combined with...
Action 2: I put 3 Stones into Colossus' Ranged Combat to better hit his mark.

The fallen Sentinel is a 20-foot-tall robot designed to locate, capture, and kill mutants. Ariel recognizes this as the same model Sentinels as those that recently attacked the New Mutants at the Salem Center Mall. Michael Rossi, Colonel, Air Force Intelligence, had assisted Stevie Hunter and the New Mutants during that encounter. He had informed Professor Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters that the Sentinels are currently under the control of Project Wideawake, a federal government operation lead by National Security Council member Henry Peter Gyrich. Colossus and Nightcrawler, however, are more focused on the functioning Sentinels. Piotr can no longer see the Sentinel that escaped with Storm, but he has a pretty good idea what direction it was headed. So Colossus performs a Fastball Special, hurling Nightcrawler through the hole in the barracks roof and into the sky. Nightcrawler can see that the robots, both the one with Storm and the one with Rogue are about 1500 feet away, and the blue mutant's not going to reach either of them on the power of Colossus's throw alone. Also, and possibly more importantly, if Nightcrawler doesn't do anything to improve his current trajectory, he's going to fall down on a very Rocky Mountain! Eh? What's goin' on? Immediately, Wolverine's claws tore through the flesh of his hands, causing him to grimace even more than usual. He sniffed at the air, and tried to get an idea of his surroundings, and re-orient himself to what was going on.

Just when Rogue thought things couldn't get worse she's turned into a Popsicle. She mustered all her strength to break free. With any luck she'd break this Sentinels hand at the same time. "The Sentinels have Storm and Rogue, Tovarisch. I just "fast-balled" Nightcrawler at the fleeing robots. Katya diffused the bomb and now looking at this Sentinel," Colossus tries to smile, but his labored breathing let's Wolverine know his starting to hunker down himself.

Storm slips free of the Sentinel's vise-like grip, just as it reaches a high security building guarded by ten soldiers with assault rifles. Next, the ice shell covering Rogue cracks open as the Type R Sentinel lands behind the first one.
"Mutants! You are under arrest!" A megaphone blares. "Prepare to he held for military trial!"

Kurt safely reaches the ground in time to see the Sentinels holding Storm and Rogue descending in the distance, presumably for a landing somewhere on the far side of the military reservation.
