"We've got to get down their Spiderman and figure out a way to stop Larry, if I can figure something like that out any more. I should probably follow your lead since I'm not very... oh what is the blasted word!"
Reed wondered if he would be of much use in the attempt to stop Everyman. He was still stretchy and pretty tough. He hoped that would be enough to assist.

"Right... Uh you try to talk him down, Mr. Fantastic. And I'll try to wrap him up!" Spider-man climbs a building behind Everyman and waits for him to be distracted by Reed before attempting to wrap Everyman with his trusty webshooters.

Reed was nervous but he had a job to do. Following Spiderman's instructions he steps out so that Everyman can get a clear look at him and begins talking.
"Larry, we can make this alright. Can we just talk? I want you to give me a chance to talk to you for a minute."

Richards does his best to keep Everyman distracted while he reaches for the Absorbascann. Sure he probably can't figure out how to work it but maybe Spiderman can.

Spider-man sees what Richards is up to and decides to help but not before cracking a joke at Larry's expense. "Hate to break it to you Larry but you're more like Every-Freak than Every-Man! Normal people don't pick up cars with their bare hands." Spider-man slung his way into the sky to make distance between himself and the enormously strong every-man then he shot more webbing towards Larry, intending to tie his arms together just long enough for Reed to snatch away the Absorbascan machine. It might not hold him long at all, but it should be long enough for Reed to complete his snatch and grab operation.

Reed reaches for the absorbascann, but then suddenly he starts feeling very strange. He can hardly think. And he's not the only one. From Spider-Man's vantage point, high above, he can see that half the people on the street look like they're coming apart at the seams. Even Parker is shaken. Spidey's webbing prevents Larry from hitting his uncle, but it doesn't stop him from opening his mouth. "What are you babbling about, Uncle Reed? I took an important stand here today! After what I've done-- the forgotten ones will never be forgotten again! And now I'm free to make my way across this city, this country... this world ... by mentally keying the absorbascann to feed me enough power to withstand any threat!"Mister Fantastic's Health: 2/3

Ok, this is definitely getting ugly. One thing's for sure, that Absorbascann machine has to go! Spider-man communicates to Reed, hoping to get a little help with his plan. "Reed keep him wrapped up! Try that Gumby thing you're so good at!" After Reed helps to distract/wrap up Every-man, Spider-man will attempt to snag the Absorbscann from him with a precisely aimed webbing, and then smash it! Well here goes something, thought Spider-man as he got ready for action.

Reed didn't know what was going on. His mind had been violated and now his body was being abused by whatever Larry had gotten a hold of. It looked like Spiderman was about to make a move but Reed wondered if he would be of any assistance. Still he had to do what he could to keep Larry occupied while Spiderman did his best to destroy the device. Reed knew he was taking his life in his hands but what else was there to do?
Reed attempted to expand his body large enough to catch a wind current that would blow him over his miss guided nephew. Maybe that would distract him long enough for Spiderman to do whatever it was he was doing.

With Mr. Fantastic's help, Spider-Man is able to snatch and smash the absorbascann. However, Larry's energy field is still strong enough to reduce his uncle to a puddle of silly putty! The civilians nearest him also appear to be dying! Every-Man has become a deadly energy leech!

"Alright, everybody stay away from Leech boy!", announced Spider-man loudly. He decided that his first priority was to rescue Reed from his crazy nephew. Well looks like it's time to go all Tarzan!
"AaaaAaaAahaha!" Spider-man swings through the air and attempts to grab the rather flaccid Mr. Fantastic and retreat to the rooftop of a nearby building to come up with a new plan.
