Hank then asks Mr. Fantastic to run some basic tests. Tests which will challenge all of Reed's diminished mental capacity.
"If you don't mind my asking.... Who was that speaking before? The voice sounded familiar, but unlike the Thing or the Human Torch."

Even with his brain-power reduced, Reed Richards was sharp enough to figure things out this afternoon and save Spider-Man and his tails. But still, the initial test fails.

Reed continues to work arduously on the tests in hope that this continued effort will yield some results. As he continues to work he offers the phone to Spiderman in hopes that Pym can help him understand how to run the tests.

Reed prepares for Spiderman to fire the beam at him. His hopes hedged that their combined intellect would be enough to restore his.
