THE COMMON DENOMINATOR! On Saturday afternoons, all across America, tool boxes come down off dusty garage shelves. Industrious souls freed from more pressing weekday demands revive the age-old art of tinkering. Perhaps it's a clock radio on the fritz -- or that sound in the car's engine that isn't quite right. Ultimately, it's not the problem that matters -- but how much fun there is in solving it. Meet Doctor Reed Richards; the world knows him as the brilliant Mister Fantastic, leader of the famed Fantastic Four -- but today he's just another weekend tinkerer. Well, actually -- he's the best!"U-Uncle Reed! It's me. It's Larry."Larry -- ?! But why isn't he at the Institute? In the two minutes it takes a private elevator to rise the thirty-plus floors of the Baxter Building to the Fantastic Four's tower complex, Richards ponders this tragic tale. "H-Hi, Uncle Reed."
"I...hope you don't mind me coming up like this -- without calling first, I mean."Mister Fantastic's Health: 3/3 Mister Fantastic's Energy: 9/9

"Larry! This is a surprise, a bit unexpected, but not... not unwelcome. When did you get released? How did you get out of the Institute?"
Reed never was one for small talk and decided to get right to the point. Besides he was still interested in getting back to work.
Action #1 2 stones in social skills to welcome Larry and try to find out what's going on.

"M-My doctor told me I'm perfectly sane, isn't that wonderful?" Larry says, taking a seat. Of course this is wonderful news, but if that's so, why wasn't Richards informed? Why didn't anyone let Reed, who saw to it that Larry was placed under expert psychiatric care, know about his release? Mr. Fantastic has to handle this matter carefully... delicately. Perhaps the young man would like something to drink, some juice or soda. Mister Fantastic's Health: 3/3 Mister Fantastic's Energy: 9/9

"That's great Larry. You look like you could use a refreshment. I'm sure one of the others picked up something from the store. Can I get you something?"
After waiting for Larry's answer Reed will head toward the kitchen and do his best to make a phone call to the institute to verify Larry's story without his nephew catching on.
Action #1 3 stones in social skills to slip out of the room to get Larry a refreshment and check on his story.

"S-Soda'd be great!"It's distressing seeing the boy this way. Why, Mr. Fantastic was at his father's side the night Larry was born! He came into the world kicking and screaming like a real scrapper. Milton and Reed were both so certain that Larry had a grand future ahead of him. But the future was far bleaker than they could have imagined... Milton and Reed were the best of friends... more like brothers, really. But, after college, they slowly drifted apart. Richards had his career in science and, ultimately, the Fantastic Four to keep him occupied. Milton dropped out of State U. when he married Carol during senior year. Then she died... he was left with an infant to tend to... and his world slowly began to crumble. Reed kept in touch with him -- tried to sustain the friendship -- but Milton was always uncomfortable with Mr. Fantastic's success. As time went by... Reed stopped trying. But he never forgot. When Richards heard about Larry -- he had to help. He called The Fenhoff Institute in upstate New York, like he is doing again right now. Only now, there is no answer... and therefore no answers for Mister Fantastic. Returning with Larry's soda on a small circular tray, Reed Richards comes face to face(?) with a startling sight. Reed looks at Larry a little bit confused. "Larry I'm not sure what you mean, 'As you really are.' Why are you wearing that mask? What are you getting at?" Action #1 3 stones in social skills to find out what exactly Larry is talking about.

"It's a mask without features, Uncle Reed. A mask that could be any man... or, possibly, Every-Man! But I'm not the same Every-Man I was before. My doctor at the institute saw to that."
"I'm different now, Uncle Reed."His strength is staggering! Larry never possessed this kind of power before! Mister Fantastic's Health: 2/3 Mister Fantastic's Energy: 9/9

Larry wasn't kidding. That punch might have even hurt Ben. I've got to contain him before he can do any more damage. Got to activate the security system and see if that can't contain him.
"Larry what is the meaning of this? Why are you attacking me?"
Action #1 2 stones in technology to activate the building security

"Mister Fantastic, you call yourself! How arrogant! How typical!" Every-Man chides, throwing a punch that Reed dodges. Instead he smashes the security system machinery.
"As if the fact that you were born a genius gives you the right to lord it over the rest of us!"

"Larry what are you talking about? Where did you get that idea? I'm your uncle! Who was the doctor that did this to you?!"
Keep him distracted thought Reed maybe I can get some information out of him and keep him from totally wrecking the building.

"It's something isn't it? Why if I really concentrated, I could kill you with one punch!"
But Mr. Fantastic doesn't give Every-Man the chance. By turning into a ball Reed Richards rolls with the punches... literally! However, his attempt to play dodge-ball with his nephew only serves to knock over Larry's briefcase.
"You're the one who locked me away! The one who thought he was so much better than my father!"

This is going no where and I'm beginning to get worn out. Maybe the best move here would be a speedy retreat and come back with some help. Larry could do some damage while I'm gone but I obviously can't handle him in a brawl. I could probably find Ben and Johny if they have their communicators with them.
With that Reed continues to bounce around in his ball form except this time instead of targeting Larry he heads for the nearest exit.
Action #1 3 stones in stretching or speed or whatever makes sense to bounce towards an exit and try to escape for help.

When Larry's briefcase hits the floor, a strange device pops out. With astonishing speed, Every-Man picks it up and fires it at the fleeing Mr. Fantastic! "And this absorbascann the doctor gave me-- is going to see that is stops!"It hurts. A horrible ache--down deep in Mr. Fantastic's soul. "Study it, Uncle Reed! Analyze it with that incredible intellect of yours! That's the kind of pain my father lived with every day of his life!"But Reed Richards is not in a position to analyze anything. All he can do is scream... and scream... ...and SCREAM![OOC: Time for Mr. Fantastic to take a short break, while I introduce the other hero in this story.]
