I (Hawkeye) puts Mockingbird down on the ground stepping in front of her, crouching slightly, drawing my bow, and intently watching for any movement.
I motion for Mockingbird to be silent.
OOC: I shift (+3) stones to defense and (+1) into ranged combat for a total of (+5)

OOC: I shift (+3) stones to defense and (+1) into ranged combat for a total of (+5) OOC: My understanding of your stone allocation is... Action 1: 3 stones into Ranged Combat. All three shifted to Defense. (+3 for Standard Arrow and +1 Targeting if applicable for Defense.) Action 2: 0 stones into Social Skills, asking Mockingbird to hush. She's his wife and shouldn't need much convincing... the player hopes. Note 1: Defense stones must be shifted from Actions. Stones can not be directly allocated to Defense. In this case it sounds like you are using Ranged Combat. Note 2: Unless a fired arrow would actually help defend Hawkeye, the modifier stones will not count. Therefore, they will not be added to Defense up front. |

Suddenly, a giant head appears in the foyer! [OOC: I intentionally scribbled over some of the words in the above panel. That is because Hawkeye does not hear very well. I will also be replacing some quoted text with italicized symbols to signify sounds that Hawkeye did not hear clearly.] "Call me Mockingbird!" Bobbi Morse Barton says in a loud voice beside Hawkeye. "You'll have to excuse my husband... he's suffered a slight hearing loss!" "Husband?!" The Vision exclaims with surprise. "Well, congratulations!"

"Vision, I have a couple of stories to tell you and I am sorry about the arrow thing, my loss of hearing has made me a little jumpy. We will be right down to the....uhhhhh...um"
I glance at Bobbi
"Sweety, where did he say we were suppose to go down to again?"

"Oh, don't bother with $&* $##@%!" Vision says. "I'll take care of &^%@! I'm in complete control!" The mansion's front double-doors then swing shut as the image of Vision's head disappears.
Alone again, Mockingbird turns to Hawkeye and answers, "He said to go to the medical labs, which isn't a bad idea... We can check your ears and my eyes!"
Shortly, the newlyweds enter the medical lab to find the Vision's body lying in a tube, but his face is in midair again!
"I've raised my vocal levels, Hawkeye," says the big red and green head. "Can you hear me now?*"

Ya, I can hear you just fine now, thanks for the volume increase. Before I tell you about some of the things I have been through and about how I met the lovely Mockingbird I would like to know what is going on around here.
I give Bobbi a worried look and squeeze her hand tighter.
I mean why are you in a tube, why are you in control. and where is the rest of the team?
OOC: I shift 3 stones into social skills and 2 into ranged combat then I shift the two stones from Ranged Combat to defense.

"Wow, I have missed a lot. I hope soon you will be back on your feet with the rest of us. As for me? Well when I left I started working for a company called Cross Technological Enterprises as a security consultant. During my employment there I met Bobbi codenamed "Mockingbird" who was a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. It become known that the company was owned by the villain Crossfire. During the insuring battle I had to stick one of my own Sonic Arrows in my mouth to counter the affects of Crossfires weapon. We defeated Crossfire and realized that during our time together me and Mockingbird fell in love. We got married and I took her home, here."
I give Bobbi a loving slap on the bum and a wink.
"You know, I am glad you are doing a lot better. Anyway, while we were in the medical bay could you take a look at my hearing and her eyes? Then afterward I think I think we would like to relax and unpack in my room.
