Rogue
A bit tired by her mental effort, Rogue tries to catch her breath as she looks back at Cyclops, glad that whatever she has done worked. Using telepathic powers was more difficult than she thought. However, if the Dark Phoenix had wanted to kill them, she would have had the occasion to do it dozens of times already. As far as Rogue was concerned, she was utterly convinced that this was their teammate.
-...Yeah... what is this all about?... You seemin' like the man with the plan, which'd be good since I been runnin' out of ideas meself.

Rogue
Rogue turns to face Phoenix, hoping that she can renew her little exploit earlier to control professor Xavier's ability. She didn't know what was the truth anymore, so she didn't want to kill the woman. And besides, she wasn't that kind of person anymore. Hopefully, she could control her powers to stop the girl without harming her and anyone else.
-An' suppose you don't really wanna fight us? I say ye need our help! You'd have killed us all by now otherwise. How 'bout you calm down and tell us what's what?
As she said, she attempted to use Xavier's powers to make her stop attacking, to lower her aggressivity, to make her feel unwilling to fight. She just hoped she could do it right.

Nightcrawler is nervous about another potential attack. Still, he hangs back and waits to see if the Phoenix tries to strike his friends again. If that's the case, he may have to give all he's got to defend those he cares about.

When Rogue reaches out with her mind, she discovers that the Phoenix is really... Colossus!
"Someone's going to an awful lot of trouble," Cyclops says when the most recent manefestation is revealed to be Piotr. "And from all indications, his knowlege of the X-Men is as deep as his hate. Only one person it can be."

Rogue
Tired by her recent uses of Xavier's telepathic powers, Rogue was panting for breath, yet her mind was racing. Mastermind... Jason Wyngarde, a mutant with the ability to create illusions into the minds of others. He could basically make them believe whatever he wanted... who knew what was real at this very moment and what wasn't?
-...Uff... uff... I'm with Kurt... th'whole mess has Mastermind's name written all over it. So... we got us ae name, any idea how tah find the rascal?
Truth be told, she did have an idea, but she needed to catch her breath, first... still, it wouldn't hurt to hear the others' ideas.

Colossus moves toward Cyclops. Though he believes his comrades words, Phoenix seems ready to attack once more and would if she WAS real? Colossus is ready to step in the way of her attack to protect the first X-Man.

Rogue
Still a little short of breath, Rogue also stands besides Cyclops, but she focuses her newfound powers on a different task which requires all her concentration. She has seen through Mastermind's tricks, thanks to Xavier's powers and Cyclops' help... now to find the criminal himself. Maybe she'd be too tired to battle him once he's found... but she will still be able to point the finger of justice at him for her allies to identify... and capture.

Storm didn't bother bantering with the Mastermind. No point. Instead, she looked around for some way to find him. Never easy given his powers.

PHUT-TING!
A gunshot-- silencer equipped so no one would hear it! But the bullet bounces harmlessly off Colossus's organic steel hide!
Rogue's psi-probes register nothin' from Phoenix...almost as if she doesn't exist! There's also a portion of this room--a kind'a dead zone--that her psi-senses can't focus on.
It seems to Nightcrawler and Storm that Cyke's on the level! And Mastermind is in the infirmary with them!
Storm feels she must ensure that Mastermind remain, by summoning all the elemental forces at her command and filling the room around her with a tempest of unimaginible fury!
