(BRIEF)BIO/HISTORY:Most of Matt's erliest memories are a blur of contradictions~ A father instilling in him the 'typical' boy hobbies and traits... conflicting with his mothers insistance that he hit the books and make something of himself, so as to facilitate her vicarious need for him to escape Hells Kitchen!
The even balance of Motherly Wishes and Fatherly Instigations was shattered the moment he witnessed his fathers death, and subsequent last words ('Run Free, Run Proud, Fear No Evil.'). He turned his back upon his studies, began running with 'bad' circles, and even took up activities that were described as borderline suicidal according to his therapist (most noteably his attempts at Extreme Parkour).
Matthew's mother, Grace, despaired of reigning her son in... and only a cruel seeming twist of fate would finally assist her in doing so. One night, whilst out for a run (or running from someone/something, he doesn't really recall), Matthew stumbled across a mugging. He hadn't intended to get involved. They were a common occurrance, and he'd thought to go his own way. Sadly, the mugger took him in hand and held the gun to his head as motivation for the stranger. Matt, looked the Mugger in the eye and shouted his defiance, daring him to pull the trigger. Startled, the mugger did so. The gun backfired, killing the mugger... the small explosion blinded Matthew.
Rehibilitation was a sombering experience. As if losing his sight weren't enough, the crew he'd considered his 'friends' turned their backs on him. Grace mercilessly struck home the importance of studies now, as he'd never again have a shot at any sort of normal life. If he didn't find a way to stand out now...
It was a fair seven months before Matt discovered his 'secret'. Blind as he'd become, something had happened to his other senses. He'd read about it somewhere once, that sometimes senses would amplify to off-set the loss or retardation of another... but this, this was extreme.
Coping was difficult in and of itself, but eventually after a fair many migraines, Matt adjusted to his new senses. No longer impeded, Matt felt like he could 'SEE' better than he ever had with eyes. His Parkour could be taken to an entirely new level now, and best of all~ He could remember dang near EVERYTHING with picture clarity (Things he detects via his sonar like sight, things he smells, things he hears).
This pseudo-sight aside, he'd learned something. Life wasn't about FREE LIVING as he'd thought. He did need to live, BUT, what good was living in a world that was corrupt and evil? His mothers words finally rang true to his ears, finally on the same harmonic.
In the ensuing months, Matt has gone from rebellious Daredevil to literal bookworm at school.
With his ability to now remember everything he sees/hears/touches/tastes/smells, Matt is freed up from his late-night studies to run the roodtops of his neighborhood. His high grades are sufficient to keep his mother in the dark (her working three jobs helps a lot too). So what does he do? Mostly, he just runs. All evening long, rooft-top to rood-top, extreme feats of Parkour that would dazzle pretty much anyone if he'd left them see~ Inspired by memories of those recent James Bond movies and other Extreme Parkour examples on Youtube that he'd seen before going blind. Free Running makes him feel alive, especially given his impairment.
Two weeks into this new regimen of studying followed by Free Running, Matt started to notice something. A growing hollowness within him. It was still exciting to FEEL the wind rushing by, and be maneuvering his body in ways he never would have dreamt possible before... but it was losing it's luster.
Despair was grasping for him, and he didn't know how to fend it off. That's when he appeared.
He called himself 'Stick'. He was creepy, and kept pace with Matt's Free-Running with an ease that belied his apparent age. Were Matt to guess, he'd have suggested the old bugger was at LEAST in his seventies. Creepiness aside, he was an inspiring source of competition and inspiration for new moves and places to try and get to. One night, recently, he told Matt that he'd been waiting his entire life for an apprentice of Matt's caliber. Stick has extended Matt an offer~ To train him in REAL Parkour, not just the self-taught stuff he'd picked up from memories and intuition; The good stuff. The price for this training? Merely that one day, he'd use EVERY tool at his disposal to help clean up HellsKitchen and make it a better place.

(BRIEF)BIO/HISTORY:Born into, and raised by, the infamous New Orleans Thieves Guild... Remy never got to know his true parents. His mother died during child birth, and his Father was incarcerated in a Maximum Security Prison (reportedly serving three life sentences with no chance of parole).
To say that the entire Guild was, and is, his family is an understatement. Whatever crime Remy's father committed before being locked away apparently won him great respect and renknown. His son, Remy, was treated almost like royalty within the Guild.
Remy was taught the basics of pan-handeling at five, and was an accomplished Pick Pocket by age seven. At age eight he was a designated look-out, three such instances resulting in under-age arrests.
At age nine, Remy had his first scuffle with an independent pick-pocket. Having failed to adequately account for himself in the fight inspired his 'Family' to teach him the ins and outs of fighting.
It was at age eleven, while playing catch with his best friend (Belladonna Boudreaux) that his mutagenic power first manifested in a visible manner. The resultant explosion badly burned Bella, and she might have died had 'The Pale Man' (A creepy Street-Doctor that was well known in the slums) not been walking by at just the right moment. He was able to assist Bella in a timely enough fashion that scarring was minimal... and even explain to Remy what had happened.
Another year would pass, and Remy was careful to keep his new ability a secret. It was his edge he'd decided, The thing that would one day help him stand out in the Trials of Succession.
Sadly, fate did not agree.
A Hiest gone terribly wrong, Remy was forced to use his ability to fend off pursuing police while he and his guild-mates fled a crime scene. They panicked, one even took a shot at him (claiming he looked to be devil-posessed). Remy, with a bullet hole in his arm, ran for his life. He stole a car, and was making for Texas when he was apprehended by the authorities.
The State Correctional System saw fit to foster Remy across the country, well beyond the sphere of influence of his 'gang'... giving him the opportunity to turn his life around. His described 'Last Shot'.
At a loss, Remy accepted. He had no where else to turn. His own 'Family' had literally shot at him...
Luckily, Remy's new Foster Parent was a man of a different stripe. He was a man well informed of Remy's nature. One capable of not only understanding it, but nurturing it. His name is Erik Lensherr, and under his guidance, Remy has seemingly escaped his old life... into this Brotherhood of mutants, Remy had found acceptance.

(BRIEF)BIO/HISTORY:The Summers Family was a reputed family of Aviators, tracing back to the earliest origins of Flight in American History.
It was a family tradition, yearning for the freedom of the skies.
At an early age, Scott learned the basics of flight and gliding. His parents took him sky-diving for his 12th birthday. He loved it.
A mechanical malfunction caused one such outting to go horribly wrong. Scott and his Brother were sent from the plane first. A secondary explosion killed his parents (still in the plane), and seperated him from his younger brother Alex (who has never turned up, and is presumed dead and lost at sea).
The traumatized young child entered into the Alaskan Foster System, where he spent the next year of his life.
It was a cold summer morning the first time Scott's ability manifested itself... and had it not been for the precognitive abilities of one of Xaviers earliest mutant contacts, Scott's life might have turned drastically different. Lucky for Scott, Xavier showed up within minutes of the accident with the solution in hand. An hour later, Summers was officially his ward and on a Plane to New York.

(BRIEF)BIO/HISTORY:James 'Logan' Howlett doesn't know much about himself. What teenager does though?
Logan grew up in the New York State Foster Care Service. Bouncing from one Agency Home to another, before the first adoption at age 11.
The records show that the pairing was deemed a 'Bad Fit', and that Logan's propensity for acting out had resulted in his remedial custodianship by the State of New York. Those records cite that the young Logan claimed abuse, but no evidence would ever be found to sufficiently prove it. It's not like the abusive father was going to admit that his inflicted bruises had healed within moments, or the arm he'd broken had mended within hours. The shock, and insult to his manhood, had caused him to overlook the convenience of a continued abusive relationship that he could never be prosecuted for. The beatings got worse; Baseball bats, chairs, broomsticks. When the old man gave himself a heart-attack and died (not surprisingly while beating the puss out of Logan), Logan was finally freed and taken back into Foster Care... the System none the wiser for the life they were rescuing him from, and labeling him ungrateful for.
In the face of such hardships, young orphans tend to develop a 'Hard Edge' to their persona's. Logan, was no exception.
Detentions, Suspensions, Expulsions. They fell off of him as rain from the sky. He was a Rebel without a Cause, a kid who realized that consequences just weren't his thing.
By age 16, Logan was an iconic burn-out in the making according to his teachers. The local police had there suspicions of DUI's, but could never land anything except Underage Driving and Wreckless Endangerment.
The Foster System was on the verge of washing their hands of the youth, when Charles Xavier found him. His charasmatic charm had somehow won the stubborn boy over, convinced him to agree to one more shot at a new Institute before Emancipating himself.
In hindsight, Logan suspects that Charles may have used psychic coercion (Now that he knows what the guy is capable of). Not that it matters though. Logan has discovered he's not alone, or not as alone as he'd thought he was. He's part of something here, part of something that's not quite Family... but something that might be worth actually sticking around for. It's not the Dream. Logan gets the Dream, he understands why Charles is fighting to make it a reality. Logan think's the Dream is pure fantasy. He's seen Real Life. Real Human Nature. He knows that Nightmare for what it is.
Fighting is something Logan's good at though, and he's chosen to try and Fight that Nightmare by supporting the Dream.
At this new... Institution, Logan claims to not be from anywhere. He claims no family of note, and in fact has insinuated having no memory of a life before coming to Xaviers (but never outright said such is the case). A carefully constructed lie.
Charles hasn't done anything to fracture this lie of amnesia, knowing it's a Trust Issue. Charles firmly believes that once Logan realizes that this is the Family he'd always dreamt of, he'll open up.

Hex is an immortal Arcane Bounty Hunter. For as long as he can remember, he's sold
his services/power to the highest bidder... the money used to fuel his own quests of
Vengeance, Greed, and Lust over the millenia. His peers laugh, and call him short-sighted.
His enemies quiver in fear, baffled at his potent abilities.
His employers? A mix of pride, discomfort, fear, respect, and any number of other oppinions
which matter very little to Hex. If the money is good, he's onboard (and by money, he doesn't
always mean cash, but it will do).
Hex cannot remember his life before the Spanish Inquisition. He doesn't even recall how
it was he came to be a Grande Inquisitor in the Inquisitions... only that he was. Not only
that, but he was one of the best. More than 13 actual witches/warlocks met their Trials
and Deaths at his hands. It was this vocation that would eventually lead him to take up
Mercenary work (after all, the Church would only find him useful for so long). Bounty Hunting,
Assassination, Infiltration, and even the occasional Procurement. The coin earned was always
invested in his vices, or upon obtaining mystical artifacts to further his personal power.
Around the early 1900's or so he met a mark who he'd apparently crossed spells with once
before in the late 1300's. The man dropped a few hints of his Pre-Hex days, when Hex was
apparently more commonly known as The Adeptus (A title, not a name he suspects). If the
Mark was to be believed, Hex had once been an upstanding and well respected occultist. One
of the most potent apparently before his... 'Fall From Grace'.
What inspired his fall, is another of many memories Hex has no clue or care about.
Hex likes his life. He likes the money, and he likes where he's going.

HAUNTED PAST 06
Hex knows he has been alive for longer than he can recall, but he has no memories
prior to the Spanish Inquisitions (where he was a Grande Inquisitor). According to the journals he found, he was a Grande Inquisitor. He has been able
to learn he was once a highly acclaimed and respected occultest known as The Adeptus
(Which he suspects to be a Title of some sort). If the stories he's learned are true,
it was his lust for Power that resulted in his 'Fall From Grace' from the Magickal
Community... his current vocation, immoral actions, and greed have done little to improve
this standing. It seems he's a reputation of sorts the world over, though the stories frequently contradict themselves.

While not a True Sorcerer, Hex has more than his fair share of enemies amidst the Magickal
Community (in addition to many others) in his quests to acquire Wealth and Magickal
Artifacts (in his own name, or for his employers). Most such enemies have landed themselves
in the Dead Book... but more than a few escaped no doubt.

Donald Blake was a young boy, rendered comatose at age 11. Lying in a hospital in such a state for four years... until approached within his comatose slumber by the Mythic God Odin. Recognizing the God for who he was from his studies, having recently done a book report on Viking Mythologies, Donald was in awe. The AllFather spoke to the boy, recognizing his brave action that had lead to his current state~ The boy tackled a homeless man about to be run down by a speeding car, pushing the man to safety at cost of his own. To this end, he gave him an offer. His own son, Thor, was lacking in such concern for Mortals. A lesson in Humility was needed, and Odin wished for his son to live as a mortal for ten years... In exchange, Odin offered to cure the boy of his Coma and heal his shattered body. For the duration of his son's use of Donalds body, the boy might come to live in Asgard and in turn inhabit the true body of Thor. To live as a God amongst Gods for ten years...
The young boy accepted, and his spirit was transferred into that Thor. Ever wise, Odin ensured that Thor's own memories were merged with that of the youthful Donald... he would not need them in his mortal life after all. The Thor-inhabited Donald went on through High school and College, ignorant of his true identity.
So it was, that for ten years, the real Donald Blake was Thor. An amalgam of two lives... the Thor that the world needed. It was much to Odin's consternation that this 'Thor' had more concern for mortals than he'd intended. He showed greater concern for Midgard than Asgard and had abandoned his duties on more than one occasion to aid his Earthen allies amidst the Avengers.
In the year 2001, Thor was summoned before Odin. The AllFather revealed to 'Thor' the truth... and that the time of the Bargain was at hand. Donald was to be returned to his own body, now healed and grown so that the true Thor might return home and resume his place in Asgard. Each would as reward, be restored with only the memories of the lives they should/would have lead bereft of this 'punishment'.
Donald saw immediately what would happen. Odin had decided the grass was not greener. He wanted his son back, focused as ever on The End Game rather than the Current Game. Earth, or rather Midgard, would be without Thor as a defender. The Avengers, his allies and friends, would be without their ally in times of need.
Donald argued with Odin again, championing Earths need for a Hero like Thor. If Thor were removed from the board, then whom would they rely on in times of gravest peril? Midgard was the Gods responsibility in Donalds eyes, a lesson Odin had claimed time and again was one he'd wanted his son to learn! Surely, Donald felt, Odin could see that the Heroic Spirit was not dead... and that the new breed of Heroes while potent could not be left abandoned.
As one might expect, the argument fell upon uncaring ears. The AllFather had far greater concerns... ones of more cosmic and far reaching consequence. The Bargain was complete, and Donald was no longer required. He was thanked for his service... and woke up on Earth.
Something was different though. Donald awoke with his memories, both of being a mortal boy and growing up on Earth... but he also remembered his time in Asgard. Further, his body felt stronger than it should. Not so strong as when he was Thor, but stronger by far than any mundane human could claim.
Most surprising of all? An Uru Mace lying next to him on the ground. Engraved upon it's business end a simple sentence in runes: "Thunderstrike"
In the silence of his mind, he can hear his own words echoing back to him... overlaid with the voice of Odin and accompanied by strange chanting: The World Still Needs Heroes.
