I don't want to hold up this threat further waiting for Wolverine.
Wolverine approaches Zabu and using his inherent empathy with animals calms the Sabretooth a little explaining Nightcrawler's Asset: D4 PLAN OF ATTACK.

Nightcrawler looks to his belt for a sword with which to at least scare off this savage beast. But, since they're in an office building, he only sees a table lamp. Not the most impressive weapon, but, then again, what is that saying, about the size of the dog in the fight... Logan would like it, either way.
Kurt grabs the lamp and tries to use it almost like a saber, swinging it wildly base-end first at Zabu.

Note: Nighcrawler only has one power set, so he would roll either Superhuman Reflexes or Teleport, not both. I'm just ignoring that last 2 from the D6 for Teleport.Nightcrawler takes up a lamp as if it were a foil and plays lion-tamer with Zabu! The sabretooth tiger tries to defend himself... Solo [dice=6] Survivor [dice=8] Combat Master [dice=10] Total = 12 ...but Kurt bops the cat on the nose! For a moment the great sabretooth tiger stands still, stunned. No one is certain what is going to happen next. Even the comic book guys freeze. Then the light of recognition shines in Zabu's eyes. The cat now looks almost ashamed to have fought with Kazar's friends and the X-Men think maybe... he now wants to play fetch with the lamp? OOC: Nightcrawler won the tie, but instead of causing D10 stress to Zabu (with a lamp?), Nightcrawler now has a D10 ZABU Asset! (Plan of Attack is dropped though.)

"Impossible Man?" Rogue repeated not entirely sure how to react to this strange man who could change into anything he wanted and steal buildings. He didn't seem all there and she wondered if perhaps he wasn't from this planet. Hoping to perhaps resolve this without further fighting she showed that her hands were empty and approached slowly to talk plead with him. "Listen, we don't want to fight ya, we've been all over trying to find you because you took something really gall darn important from us and we need it back."

Nightcrawler stands behind Rogue in a supportive manner. Even though Rogue used to be a Brotherhood member, Nightcrawler believed, due to his faith, that everyone deserved forgiveness and a second chance and turning the other cheek. So, of course he didn't want to keep fighting this strange green Impossible Man. "Yes, we only want our mansion back."
