When I snap (and that is getting more and more likely recently), I'm going to go around asking people who their favorite Superman is, and shooting people in the face if they say "Christopher Reeves"
For the life of me, I cannot grasp why anyone who claims to like the character Superman has anything good to say about those awful films. Christopher Reeves was a terrible Superman in every possible way.

I feel the same way about Dean Cain.

I feel the same way about Dean Cain. BAM!At least Dean Cain looked like Superman, and understood that Superman and Clark Kent were two separate people.

He wasn't (admittedly, not as big as I'd like Superman to be though), and yes they are. Since 1986 (at least), the explanation for people not getting that Superman and Clark Kent are the same person has always been the fact that the two men look, act, speak, and move differently.

Christopher Reeves was my favourite Superman because he was the first Supes I ever knew. I fully admit that I'm biased to all hell on that subject.
But I totally get what you're saying about Superman and Kent being different people. I like it better that way, too, and that's one of several things that the Reeves films were missing - or at least, something that could have been an improvement.
Come on, Zod was awesome. The fights were silly, but Terence Stamp completely stole the spotlight in that movie. (I like to forget that most of the others existed.)

Runner up would be Dean Cain.

Oh, I know I'm biased about it!
I always thought Dean was schmucky. I saw him on an episode of Jeopardy once, and was so not impressed.

Christopher Reeves was my first Superman, too... then I learned to read and realized that you don't have to settle for crap.

Ya, I never read any Superman comics except for the Death, A World without Superman, and The Return of Superman trades. In all honesty, I think Reeves was my first super hero movie I ever saw. Then it was the Bats and Wonder Woman with I cannot even think of her name, but I am still in love with her to this day.
Hell, I still remember the old school Capt. America and Spiderman movies where when Spidey used his web he actually shot out a white string.

Her name was Linda Carter, and I did a happy dance when I saw her on Sky High, lol...

Yep, beautiful Linda Carter. I have the first season Wonder Women and I did a happy dance when I saw her on Super Troopers as well. Even if it was just a cheap cameo.
