Cool, some bank robber in a super man suit...this movie's going to suck. I'm not getting the superman vibe at all here

So I guess I don't know enough about Superman to know what's awful about that picture... I think it looks pretty cool?

The costume looks awful (actually it looks like the cheesy rubber suits from the older Batman movies), and the guy looks more like a cheap 50's greaser than Superman.

Which you prefer? This Superman or 90's Superman who has a mullet?

Eh, I don't see Superman when I look at this picture. I would prefer George Reeve Superman over any. I don't see what's wrong with using Tim Welling, but that's a different debate.
I actually see Ultrman when I see this picture, he looks like a villain. Either that, or the guy actually favors Agent Smith form the Matrix, or he could pass for one of the Baldwin Brothers.
Don't get me wrong, I have mad Love for The Shadow, but I'm not even sure if Big Al could have pulled off the Superman role. This could actually be as bad as the rumors of the Nick Cage Superman from years back.

Which you prefer? This Superman or 90's Superman who has a mullet? Okay, let me get this clear, since I keep seeing this "Superman had a mullet" crap. Pay attention. Not all long hair is a mullet. 90's Superman Mullet I understand that this is commonly misunderstood, but a mullet is NOT any time a person with long hair actually grooms their bangs. A mullet is having a short hairstyle on the top/front of your head, and a long hairstyle in the back. As someone who wears his hair long, I feel obligated to explain this important difference. To answer your question; I vastly prefer the 90's Superman to this guy, but the 90's Superman was a drawing. It's much more difficult to find a real human to live up to an ideal. Luckily, in this case, I'm not really complaining about the actor or his look; just the hair. It is beyond me why they would choose to make his hair look like that.

Yeah, the rules for a mullet are simple. "Business in the front, and party in the back." Having said that, Superman's hair had no business in the front. Everything online says he has a mullet though, I've read up on several sites that say it's a mullet. My problem with that is that Clark's hair was long enough to pull it all back into a pony tail when he was working at the planet. Anyone with a mullet would have hair to short in the front to do that. Instead they have mostly what is called a "rat tail." I'm not for sure if Chuck's hair is a mullet in that picture though. He looks like he has it slicked back rather than being groomed in the front like a mullet. Bullets are usually groomed on the front rather than being slicked back. I'm not taking up for Chuck, but I just can't tell if he has a mullet, or if he just has his hair slicked back in that picture. The last thing I want is for anybody to get round house kicked through their pc, lol. Speaking of Mullet's let's not forget Joe Dirt!

True, it is questionable whether Chuck has a mullet in that picture.

If I had to pick a name for Superman's hairstyle in the 90's I would just said medium feathered hair. There's no business in the front with superman, and he could pull all of his hair back in a pony tale, or at least I'm sure I've seen him do it in at least one issue. His hair in the 90's kind of reminded me of Tony Danza's hair rather than a mullet.
