Perhaps "storylines" is the wrong word - I mean that they have a half dozen characters from four different movie franchises all sharing one film. That's a lot to reconcile, and I want to see how they do it. ~TWF I predict; clumsily. I second that opinion

With Judge Dredd (the first one) Stallone was coming off the back of the Demolition Man film (which I thought was quite good fun) and that whiney little thief guy (Reiner? Can't remember) was the comic relief. What utter shite.
However, there were cameos (ABC warriors I think?) and bits in it (Diane Lane) that were reasonable, even if Hershey was the kind of woman who wouldn't be interested in men (in the comics anyway). PSI Judge Anderson would've been good, as would the Dark Judges.
We'll have to wait n see what the new film does (whenever it comes out. A year in post production is a bit worrying. Straight to video? *shudder*) but I think Judge Dredd would be an ideal Syfy tv showif done right and faithful to the comics.
That said, despite the name, not sure Syfy does sci-fi any more. After the Flash Gordon mess, I don't blame them.
Speaking of sci-fi - John Carter of Mars on anyones' radar? Guy from US civil war transported to Barsoom (Mars) where under the lighter gravity he gets super strength and battles to free the planet of tyranny. I think it's a Disney thing, so the Martian princess will have lots of clothes on, there won't be any blood or bad language, and someone will break into a song and dance routine at some point.
Hmmm. Just unsold myself on it. Murmurings have been that it's not that great...

I'm anxious for John Carter of Mars, despite the fact that I think it probably won't be that good. Why? Because the book series... *drum roll* wasn't that good.
For some reason we (as a culture) have become convinced that anything that is old must have been awesome. The Barsoom series are essentially little more than pulp action stories with a smattering of philisophical nonsense.
Even syfy managed to put out a watchable John Carter movie a few years ago (if you could get past the terrible special effects, and the fact that they made Carter modern rather than a Civil War soldier, which I believe the theatrical release does as well)

Im not looking forward to the upcoming x-men vs avengers. i think its just gonna be a big money grab full of action and pointless story. witch is fine for the kids but marvel proved they could do Big action and still give good story for yeas sense Cival war tho it seams it just 1 epic battle to the next with no new villains or anything just Hero Vs Hero. im still trying to follow spider-man but they still just cant seam to leave him alone always trying to give him a new gimmick every outer month.
Not happy at the next TMNT movie they set to release soon iv seen little about it as there hiding it well. but wut i have seen looks bad.
i am looking forward to the new judge dread movie tho. i love the last 1 (granted i was 6 i think when it came out and now can stand to watch more then a new seconds of it) and figger they cant screw it up any more than last time so it has to be good by comparison. even if itnot much if they get better every time then eventually they will be good
Witch brings me to spider-man(new movie) it looks like they are taking spider-man house of m look to him. it still might be better then the old 1.

Wait there's a new TMNT movie coming out, is it live action? I know I'm hoping for nothing but actually liked the first two movies, no one talks about the third... Also when is the Goon coming out, I saw the trailer and am wondering when that's coming out, anyone know?

In June, 2008 it was announced on the Goon official site that a CG animated film of The Goon was to be produced by the award-winning Blur Studio, produced by David Fincher and written by Eric Powell.[3] Paul Giamatti and Clancy Brown will be the voices for the upcoming animated movie.[4] Clancy Brown will voice The Goon and Paul Giamatti will be Franky.[5] A release date has not yet been specified, nor has a plot. The film's future is uncertain as it has had trouble procuring funds. [6] The film's poster states that it will be released theatrically.[7] The first trailer from the film was released on 20 July 2010.[8] all i could find on the goon
yes TMNt will be live aciton

For some reason we (as a culture) have become convinced that anything that is old must have been awesome. I second this. As for the other things: Spider-man: I'll give it a shot GR: No way Avengers: Meh. Dredd: Flip a coin John Carter: Flip a coin 2 out of 3

All love and anticipation for Spider-Man is lost... look at the toy for Lizard Honestly? No worse looking than the Spider-Man ;D (Okay yeah, not really. The Lizard does look terrible there. Even worse than the awful Spider-Man suit)

Not to rain on the parade or anything, because I honestly agree that the movie Lizard is looking kind of lame...
But what did we (meaning you) expect? I mean, how would they put The Lizard on screen and not have him look stupid? LOL
