MISSION 6: WHAT HAS FOUR TENTACLES AND DESTROYS NEW YORK CITY? A gigantic robot copy of Doctor Octopus is marching down the street, swinging its tentacles with ferocious speed. It's pounding buildings on both sides of the street into rubble. Each step it takes sends tremors through the ground and breaks up big chunks of pavement. The 30-foot-tall metal monster bellows out a challenge: "This is the voice of Doctor Octopus. This city is doomed! I shall crack it open like an egg. If I am not made the ultimate ruler of the United States, my Octodroid will march on Washington D.C.!" Captain America wasent sure if The Thing was ready for such a fight... The electrical trap seemed to had been pretty powerful, but they would have to trie to defeat this thing, or the whole city would be layd in ruins. "Marvel!! Im going to trie and disarm it, see what you can do about its energy source!!" Captain America then starts to move in on the giant robot. ==============================================

* Ben was still a bit charged by the electrical shock. He had heard of shock therapy but never really wanted to try it. So he stood back and watched the others, and readied himself just in case someone got in trouble. Ben unfortunately knew he had to play this one a bit safer. He wasn't sure if he could take another jolt like the last one. *

[glow=yellow,2,300]ZZZAP![/glow] Captain Marvel charges the Octodroid as an electrical pulse, only to be reflected off the robot's protective hide.
As Captain America and the Thing approach, the Octodroid punches into the first floor of the Trende Shoppe (clothing store), then rips up through the building. The machine then turns east and heads down 7th Avenue.

These do not include a +1 Defense bonus for Armor. So with this post, Captain America would have a Defense of 6, not 7. You may spend another stone of energy to Acrobatics (shifted to defense) or leave this as is. Just let me know what you chose. Thank you!

[glow=blue,2,300]CRACK![/glow] Captain America's shield hits hard against the back of the giant robot. Unfortunately, Captain Marvel has less successful results attacking the metal monstrosity's mouth. The metal braces over the mouth are so strong, it almost makes one wonder if the maniacal Dr. Octopus is also a doctor of orthidontia. (Or does the Fixer fix crooked smiles?)
Captain America is now getting good look at the Octodroid's mouth himself, because it turned it's head to look at him. A tentacle also writhes back around toward the star spangled hero to fire a beam of energy at him. Maybe not hurting the Octodroid wasn't so unfortunate for Captain Marvel after all.
In a remarkable feat of acrobatics, Steve Roger's reflexes kick in and he dodges the blast! Only after recovering from his tumble and catching his shield, does he notice the damage to his left legging. Fortunately, Captain America's tough skin prevented him from suffering any serious damage. (Though, he'll have a bald spot in the leg hair on his left calf for a little while.)
The Thing continues to close the distance between himself and the Octodroid. Watch out, here comes Aunt Petunia's favorite orange, rocky nephew.

Captain Marvel's Health: 2/3 Captain Marvel's Energy: 2/9 Electricity for 1 more Panel.
Thing's Health: 1/6 Thing's Energy: 12/18 I'm being nice and regenerating a stone of Energy, even though I hadn't heard from you. Maybe that'll make up for the lack of a Spider-Man. :-)

*Ben's head was still a bit fuzzy. His rocky hide still tingled with the electrical sensation. But Ben couldn't let them have all the fun. *
* Ben thought that if they could get the bot down they stood a better chance. Perhaps something to wrap around his legs. Like some high tensile power lines. Ben looked about for what he needed and tried to think fast. *

"This is the voice of Doctor Octopus," the same challenge repeats from the Octodroid, as if to answer Captain Marvel's question. "This city is doomed! I shall crack it open like an egg. If I am not made the ultimate ruler of the United States, my Octodroid will march on Washington D.C.!" The sneering voice sounds just like Doctor Octopus. The Octodroid seems to have lost interest in Captain America. It smashes a Quikie Burger restaurant between it's tentacles and heads further down 7th Avenue, intent on destroying eveything in it's path. The Thing has wrestled with giant robots before, and knows that having a little bit of edge helps a lot. He spots the light poles along the road, an upcoming subway entrance and a nearby fire hydrant that might all be linked to wires, tracks or piping capable of slowing down this collossal robot. Then a car stalls in the street, right in front of the Octodroid! A man and a young boy are in the car, too panicked to move. They need help!
