* Ben began to climb the servide ladders, looking for anything breakable. He knew there had to be a electronic cluster running to each part of the trash cans limbs to control the massive motors and gears that worked them.
He could also tell something had knocked the bot over, they were falling. Ben braced himself, holding on to the service ladder for the impact. He hoped that Captain Marvel was okay herself. She was also in here somewhere but Ben wasn't sure where.*

The Octodroid falls to the ground.
Taking Captain America's advice, Spider-Man slings a web at Dr. Octopus's giant robot, to pin it down on the ground.
'''Lo what beist thus hither portals upon yon clockwork giant's boot-soles?" Thor says pointing out the doors on the bottom of the Octodroid's feet.
"Never-mind the poetry recitation, Thor. Remember, you have to get back to Asgard pronto." Spider-man cries to the Norse God of Thunder. "Thanks again for the whole saving my life thing by the way."
"Aye. The arachnid warrior speaks true, Captain." Thor says. "I must return to Asgard forthwith. May Odin's glory shine on you as you finish vanquishing yonder threat."
There is a crack of thunder, a flash of lightning, and then Thor is gone.
Inside the Octodroid's head, Captain Marvel uses her electrical form to scramble the robot's circuitry.

It's working.
Down inside the robot's leg, the Thing spots a major turbine straining to move.
Outside the robot, Spider-man and Captain America see the Octodroid straining to break free of the webbing and stand up. It's making some progress, but also has sparks flying from it's head.

It looked like whatever Captain Marvel and The Thing was doing inside the Metal Monster was working... "It looks like your web is able to slow it atleast abit down... That should be able to give Marvel and Thing some extra time to find something useful in there"

As Captain America deftly dismounts the web-cushion he spies Spidey flicking his wrists at the Octodroid. However, this time just a couple small strands of webbing eek out and fall to the ground.
"Dang, I'm out of webbing!" Spider-Man cries. "I used all my web-fluid on that giant pillow! On the bright side, maybe the Octodroid will think it looks comfy and decide to take a nap on it."
The robot then begins to stand up pulling free of the remaining webs that hold it down. That is, until it appears to get a "Charlie Horse" and falls over once again! The Thing did a good job disabling it's leg, but this metal beast has another leg, two arms and four tentacles. If Captain Marvel is going to do something, she better do it quickly!

* Ben feels the robot stumble after destroying the turbine in the leg. But then it begins to get back up. *
Damnit it! I need to do more damage. I need to get into it's head.
* Ben looks up, he decides that perhaps the more important electronics are in his head, or the chest area. He grabs the ladder again and begins climbing up. Looking for major electronics other then the appendage turbines.*

Captain Marvel is afraid she will shock the Thing in her current form, but she is unsure if she has enough energy to be effective in any way. She shifts into harmless visible light energy so she won't hurt her teammate.

Captain America and Spiderman could only hope to delay the monstrosity from the outside. Thing and Captain Marvel where the only ones who really seemed like they had a chance of dealing any real damage to it.
Captain America called out to spiderman: "Spiderman, its steel skin seems to tough for us to really do any damage, so lets try and give The Thing and Captain Marvel all the time they need to disable that metal head for good...

"Gotcha Cap." Spider-Man replies. "I've got experience dodging Doc Ock's tentacles, keeping an eye out for these jumbo ones ought to be a cinch."
Inside the Octodroid, Roxanne... I mean Captain Marvel... puts on the red light. The Thing can not see a dim red glow up ahead. This helps him as he passes into the android's chest cavity. There's not much worth smashing here (heartless bastard!) but there is quite a good bit of exposed circuitry in the head, where Captain Marvel is and the light is brightest.
SNAP!
The Octodroid is loose and lumbering toward the 10 story Key Building. It's coiled mollusk-like arms reach out for Spider-Man and Captain America, but the heroes keep on the defensive and avoid immediate danger. But only immediate danger....

*Ben was pleased to see there was light here. It at least showed him where the important things were. He looked first for circuits in the front of the head, circuits that might control vision and voice.
So he began bashing, it didn't matter what the circuits were, he just bashed them all.*

SMASH!!!!!!
The Octodroid's arms crush the side of the Key building and it begins to topple toward Captain America and Spider-Man.
"Look out!" Spider-Man yells, but Captain America doesn't need Spider-Sense to tell him he's in danger.
At the same time, the Thing does some smashing of his own inside the Octodroid, while climbing even higher toward the red light that is Captain Marvel. (The Thing is in the neck now. He didn't have enough time yet to climb to Captain Marvel who is inside the head.)
