Well, electrical forcefield-like thingies seem to have a hapid of doing damage to those who attack it (electro?).. I could also imagen this could fit Magnetoes forcefields when he sends bullets flying back at opponents with seamingly ease.. But I can imagen making a character which sends bullets/Beams and what not strait back at his opponents

Maybe +2 CL to have it reflect whatever your FF blocked. Yeah, it would be interesting to test this out. The only way to effectively fight someone with that sort of defense, though, would be indirectly (telepathy, fear, magic) or by being immune to your own attacks (mastery of elements, basically). Yikes.

No worries.. We know you are a busy man Thats some ways of beating them.. But also, if you overcome the Force Fields defense (if we use my mechanic example).. When you are forced to spend extra Energy stones to prevent the damage, no attack will be reflected (the shield is after all, actually broken at this point and you have to strain yourself to keep it up).. This way, just because you have the option dosn't mean you can reflect all attacks.. Only those weaker than you're shield.. But I think there should be and option that said: "Only reflect Range/close combat attacks" to allow for more varity... For example, you might only be able to reflect energy or maybe even a certain energy type.. But of the two suggestion I gave, I would go for the second so that you actually have to guess how powerful the opponents attack is..

Yeah, good call on the "only ranged / only close" option. Maybe "reflect ranged attacks" or "reflect close combat attacks" should each be an option or something.. that's easier, I think. But yeah, I can picture a force field that is dangerous to touch, but not dangerous to shoot - or one that bounces things back, but can be beaten down by sheer blunt force trauma at close range.
I'll think about this some more and the probably write up the options formally so that we can have a good look at 'em.

I've tested the reflecting option out in 1.0 (It was my own custom rule that a GM let me use on a character, it was the same price and worked pretty much as described here), it worked quite well, was not overpowered, and was a lot of fun If you think about it, reflecting attacks can only ever be broken by making it too cheap to do so. If you're only reflecting attacks that are as strong as your enemies (they're weaker if they overcame your forcefield) then the fight is about as even as it gets. +2 turned out to be just right considering the already-high cost of force field and the automatic nature of the reflection (I couldn't empower the reflections or use them to buff myself). The advantage by itself is a great addition to the system imo and far from broken. Reflecting attacks is really really cool, and balanced by its very nature. As for ranged versus close, as has been said there already exists paths for this with electrification. No need to make up new things when with closer inspection/interpretation old things still apply.

Well, Electrification won't prevent someone from harming you in close combat and it can be used as an attack since no one has to attack you (especially since you can increase the area the shield covers)..

In FF #167, I've seen the Hulk pounding on Sue's force field and not being able to get one punch through to her protected teammates. However the strain on her was tremendous and eventually the Hulk's power wore her out. The bottom line was, not one of Hulk's attacks got through while the FF was active.
